I was sitting on the cliff edge, watching the sea.
The roaring of the sea soothed the beast residing inside me. The area of the small woods and the coast outside of the pack's border was my nest.
I was so enchanted by the view that I didn't even notice the noise from behind me until it got too close.
But of all the people, I didn't think it would be my mate. She should be safely inside the pack. But she looked so excited to see me, and that made my heart leap.
