MICHELLE’s POV. With trembling hands, I collect the paper from the doctor and continue to stare back at it. I was not expecting what he said a few minutes ago. How can I be pregnant? I gently open my eyes as the gloomy day dawns upon me. Last night was the most terrifying day of my life and I badly wanted to think it was a dream but here I am on the bed with Nicholas’s side cold and unlaid. Tears well up in my eyes but I try to push it to the back of my head, the divorce papers are lying on the table beside me while the pregnancy report is just by the side. Seeing it was one of Nicholas’s lawyers, I let out a heavy sigh before clicking on the receive button. “Hello” “Madam, sir Nicholas sent over the divorce papers via email. I think we should meet and discuss how to settle this. He want to add more alimony for you” “You can go ahead and process it.
