Sandra's Pov I stood outside Ruth's door, my heart racing with anxiety. My brother Michael had really messed up this time, and I didn't know if Ruth would ever forgive him. I had always looked up to Michael, but his infidelity and lies had broken my trust too.As I turned to leave, I saw Edison, my best friend and confidant, standing across the room. He was watching me with an intensity that made my heart skip a beat. I felt a flutter in my chest as I walked towards him."Hey, Sandra," he said, his voice low and husky.
