Life about Melissa.

It has been a few months since my escape from the human world and I have never been so happy. I sat up on my bed as I stared at the wall clock and I was still very early for work.

I yearned out loudly with a wide smile, I tapped my hand twice and the curtains opened in both directions.

This was the kind of life I wanted and nothing else. I could live the rest of my generations in the human realm if it meant being away from Alpha Avalor and Lucas.

I stood up and as usual took a shower before picking out from the thousand dresses I have the perfect one to cover up my pregnancy and I got a very good one.

After making sure I looked excellent and my pregnancy wasn’t obvious, I stepped out of my bedroom as my next job was to make breakfast for Richard as he now always looked forward to the morning dishes I made for him.

“Good morning damsel.” Richard said with a wide smile.

“Good morning, I see you are eager for today’s breakfast.” I said to him before turning on the gas.

“You always find the perfect dress to cover your dress and still look beautiful in it.” Richard praised me as I smiled weakly.

“The presence is really making me weak.” I complained which was very true. I was just unable to explain it to Richard as he wouldn't understand me, but the pregnancy was giving me nightmares and in my nightmares i always see Alpha Avalor searching for me and a baby cry which frightened me to wake up immediately, and after i wakes up i always have a peaceful sleep.

I knew the pregnancy was trying to pull me back to Avalor or make my night very miserable that I would have no choice but to return to Avalor but I had already made up my mind, I won’t go back there…I was now more than satisfied here and was living a peaceful life.

“Melissa concentrate and don’t think much about the pregnancy.” Richard said to me bring me back to reality.

“Thanks.” I replied with a wide smile as I proceeded to prepare the omelet for him.

“Don’t you think it’s time you visit the hospital and register for antenatals?” Richard questioned making me shaky.

I can’t visit a human hospital or it would be obvious that I am a werewolf and Richard might hate me for life and I am not ready to risk that.

“I already registered just didn’t want to tell anyone.” I lied while continuing my dish, although Richard liked a bit skeptical with my words he smiled to my words and turned his attention to the food.

After breakfast, Richard and I left for the office, our usual routine. As we walked through the bustling streets, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. The sun shining down on us, the sounds of laughter and chatter filling the air—it all felt so normal, so human.

But as we entered the office building, my sharp hearing picked up snippets of conversation from my coworkers. They were whispering, claiming that Richard and I were more than just friends. Their words sent a wave of unease through me. I didn't want anyone to suspect the truth about me, especially not Richard. I feared that if he found out I was a werewolf, he would reject me.

I tried to push the thoughts aside and focus on my work. Richard, being the kind and perceptive person he was, noticed my change in demeanor. He pulled me aside and asked if something was bothering me.

I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much to reveal. But Richard's concern and genuine care for me made me feel safe. So, I decided to confide in him, although not revealing my true nature.

"I overheard some of our coworkers talking earlier," I began, my voice filled with a mix of anxiety and vulnerability. "They were saying that we're more than just friends. It's not true, of course, but it bothered me. I don't want anything to jeopardize our friendship or our professional relationship."

Richard's eyes softened as he listened attentively. He reached out and gently placed his hand on mine, offering comfort. "Melissa, you know how rumors can spread like wildfire in an office setting. But I want you to know that I value our friendship above all else. And I trust you completely. Those rumors mean nothing to me."

His words were like a balm to my worried soul. I felt a weight lift off my shoulders, knowing that Richard accepted me for who I was, even if he didn't know the full extent of it. He saw me as a friend, a capable colleague, and that was enough for now.

In a surprising turn of events, Richard then informed me that he wanted me to take on a new role as the contractor for new businesses that our company was pursuing. He believed in my skills and knew that I would excel in this position. The news both thrilled and intimidated me, but I couldn't help but feel grateful for Richard's unwavering support.

“Thank you so much Richard, I promise not to make you regret always supporting me and making me your first priority.” I said to Richard who smiled.

“You should return to your desk before they get suspicious again and try to bring up another gossip.” Richard said to me before walking away…I stood there with a wide smile as I watched him walk away from me, I wish there was a way I could make it up to Richard but I just couldn’t so I had no choice but to appreciate him continuously.

Just ask I turned around, on of the mean co workers bump into me with great speed as I lost balance and fell to the floor at the same time the jacket I wore buttons suddenly wore off opening my tummy.
