Chapter 28

Grey had gotten back to the pack house and had discovered that she was not in the house. He had made inquiries, and Gwen had told him where she was. He had immediately came to the river to find her seated with her legs pulled up, and she hugging her knees. He wondered what was going on with her, as she turned to look at him with an hurtful look on her face. "Are you okay?" He asked her.

Maya chuckled dryly as she sniffed. "Is there a need not to be?" She asked him, sarcasm evident in her voice.

Grey knitted his brows in exasperation. "I asked a question," he said, his eyes intensely on hers. "Gwen tells me you've been here since morning. I only want to know what's going on," he said to her.

"It's nothing," she said, slowly getting up to her feet.

Grey grew more irritated. "What the hell  is wrong with you?" He demanded in a pent-up anger.
