As soon as I was done talking with Brax, I headed to the library to start working out a way to bring Ava back; Pearl joined me. She thought having two people reading would be better than one. I had to promise her that I wouldn't zone out and let my powers overtake me, which was a lot easier said than done. It also meant reading was a lot slower than it could have been, but I accepted the help, knowing this was not something that I could do on my own.

We spent hours pouring over books, researching different spells and rituals that could potentially bring Ava back.
