I wanted to see what else she was planning to do with me, a supposed stray dog, so I kept quiet as they dragged me inside the house.

Since she knew my injury wasn't bad, there was no point in acting hurt anymore. I was already inside her house anyway. I knew humans had a weird obsession with dogs, so I could just walk around the house as I owned it already.

As soon as John put me on the floor, I stood on all fours and shook my fur.

The woman was looking at me with a mixture of amusement and curiosity in her eyes.

She approached me cautiously, holding out her hand for me to sniff.

Sure, I'll humor you, human. I smirked to myself and sniffed at her hand, taking in her scent, before tentatively licking her palm.

The woman smiled and stroked my head, murmuring soothingly. "Good boy," she said.

I felt a strange warmth in my chest.

"You are filthy. How about a bath?" she suggested.

Hmm...being bathed by a beautiful woman? I can think of worse things to happen to me. I followed her
