Katrina’s point of view
When I woke up this morning. I did not realise that I had sent over all my jackets and coats ahead with Taylor and Bryan.
I had no option but to wear Lucius’s coat. Even though I received stares from people, it was okay.
I was fucking cold and needed a coat.
I folded the sleeves of the coat and tucked it into my leather pants on one side. “Shouldn’t we have freshened up before coming here?” Joshua asked by my side, and I shook my head.
“Turns out you need to report to the Alpha King before going to your families,” I whispered back to him, and he moved back.
We stood in front of the door, waiting for them to open. Xavier joined us, coming to stand next to me. He stared me down from my hair to the coat I was wearing.
A frown on his face, but I decide to ignore him. Nothing he says or how he looks at me can be any worse than all th
Katrina’s Point of ViewI can’t believe we are home. But why didn’t it feel the same way? Why did I feel empty when I should be happy that somehow, I got revenge on the people who caused my family’s death? Or that of my people?I sighed heavily, sinking into the bathtub as I closed my eyes. I can’t believe this is what is happening in my life.I had spent part of this morning and the entire afternoon trying to find a dress to wear. If it was back home, I would have easily picked from my collection but now I need to find something to wear.A knock came on the door just as I started applying makeup. I got up from the chair. I grabbed a dagger from the table before going to open the door.I slowly opened the door, making sure the hand holding the dagger was behind me.“Ms. Snow” the old lady bowed her head before me as I furrowed my eyebrows. Isn’t she the lady who works for King Cassian?“Yes. How can I help?” I plaster a smile on my face. She turns to the girl who is standing next to h
Katrina’s Point of View“So, tell me, Luna Katrina? Did you like my gift?” The alpha king asked me, his hand on my waist, waltzing while everyone watched.“It’s stunning” I forced a smile as he chuckled before I swirled, and he pulled me closer to him. “I am sorry about your pack. I heard— ““You did not know. Did you?” I asked him, looking up at him as he pulled me closer to him. I was hoping he was not another person who tried to keep it away from me.“I Found out about it from Beta Ryan.” He says and I sigh heavily. Thank God he was not lying to me.At least he is still the person I once knew.“Then I believe you will hold her responsible since I can’t do anything without bringing about a war?” I ask him.He keeps quiet but I look at him, wanting to understand what his thinking. He inhales sharply before taking a step back, and I follow his lead. “Blackfang is an ally. I have tried to do as much as I can by...”“That means you won’t get her to stand trial?” I ask him and he raises
Lucius’s Point of ViewA dress? He fucking bought her a dress to wear at his fucking ball. I clenched my jaw, stepping back into the feast he was hosting for us.I strode towards Cassian, who was chatting with Alpha Kieran, obviously trying to get as much information about what was happening.Cunning asshole.“Cousin!” He waved at me as soon as he saw me approaching where he was.Alpha Kieran gave me an affirmative nod before walking away as I approached Cassian.“Kieran was just telling me about Kat. Seems like she— ““Kat?”Since when has he addressed people by their nicknames? Was he drunk?“Katrina. From what he tells me, she seems to be a good soldier. Her father would be proud,” He remarked, a smile curling up on his lips.“He would be, but her mother would disagree with it” I stated, grabbing a drink from the waiter’s tray who was walking by.“True. The luna always wanted her to have a family of herself.” He says, tilting his head and I follow where his eyes are roaming.Katrin
Katrina’s point of view‘Remind me again never to drink on an empty stomach,’ I linked to Sage, who scoffed, rolling her eyes.‘You have not gotten drunk to this point in years. Why on earth would you drink like this till four in the morning knowing you have breakfast with the Alpha King?’ she scolded as I tried to find something appropriate to wear.‘IS this because of the prince?’ She asked me as I swallowed hard. I think at this point I was still drunk.‘You should not have let him kiss us. If my body is craving him. Please try to fight him off,’ I complained, picking a black dress as I scoffed. My entire wardrobe was made of black outfits. Maybe I should think of changing my entire wardrobe.‘You are the one who let him touch us. Also, can we agree he is a good kisser?’ She asked me as I chuckled, pulling out the light pink floral ankle-length sleeveless dress and some flat shoes. There’s no way in hell I am wearing high heels after partying so hard. After changing into my outfit.
Katrina’s point of viewMy heart races as he brings his hand to my thigh. Fuck. I should be fighting him, but I lean in.His touch is like fire caressing my skin. “You are so fuckin beautiful” he whispers as his hand finds the hem of my pant.He buries his head in my neck, nibbling on my skin. A moan escapes my lips as he pushes my pan to the side, his finger rubbing against my clit. “Lucius no. We shouldn’t be doing this” I whispered as he let go of my hands, lifting me as he pinned me against the wall, and he gently slid his finger between my two folds I threw my head back as he pulled away looking in my eyes.“Tell me to stop,” he whispers, his lips so close to mine. I cup his face, crushing my lips against his.I moan in his mouth as he pushes a finger into my core, curving it up as he starts fingering me. “OH Lucius” I moaned.“I need you to be quiet, Kat,” he says as he pushes another finger inside me. I bite down on my lips, trying to hold in the scream that’s about to escape m
Katrina’s point of viewI arrived back in the garden and noticed Lucius was chatting with an older woman who kept checking his face if he was okay. I quickly masked my scent before striding into the garden the alpha King had arrived already, and Xavier was by the table where I was meant to sit.“Hey, Kat!” Joshua waved at me, beaming with a smile as everyone turned to look at me. I forced a smile before going to them. I would rather sit with the captains than share a table with Xavier.I might just end up killing him the way I was feeling.“I saved you a seat.” He said to me, getting up to pull the chair for me. “If only you were always that polite towards women” Becky muttered under her breath.“I am a gentleman to ladies. While you, on the other hand, I would not consider you a lady,” He retorted, and Taylor snorted as Becky tried to hit him.“See what I mean?” He raises a brow, and I shake my head sitting back.“Where is Bray?”“Here. Went to get you a plate” he says coming over wi
Katrina’s point of viewI stood in front of the house I was thinking of renting, and it was exactly what I wanted. I walked around the living room smiling as everyone started rushing to their rooms.“The main bedroom is mine! My boxes are already there!” I shouted after Joshua, who was running after Becky, trying to find a bedroom.“You look sad today” Bray said to me as I turned to him.“Just tired, Bray. Are you not going to check your room?” I asked him and he shook his head.“Whatever I can get is never for me.” He says to me as I look around the house.Thelma would have loved the house. Especially the kitchen. It had an island counter with a stove on it.“Go check on your room. I am sure you will love it” I pushed Bray, who started walking away but stopped midway, glancing at me as I forced a smile.I spent the rest of the time going around the rest of the house, and once I was done. I fixed up my room and after taking a shower.I sat down on the bed, trying to read.*“Kat?”“Ju
Lucius’s point of viewI felt her gaze on me even as we walked to the bike. She did not move and her hands just hung there.“You can put me down. People will start talking” she said to me looking up at me, but I pulled her closer to me.I do not care if people see me, or if they want to talk. She was mine, and I was going to make sure everyone knew it.“You are sick. I cannot let you walk around” I retorted, looking ahead. I did not want to look at her. Because fuck, just one look at those lips. I will want to kiss her again.I would how they would feel around my cock.‘Maybe we should try it next time we are with her’ Zane smirked as I put her on the bike, and she grabbed the helmet.“Here. We will visit the doctor first, then can go home”“I am fine. Just need some rest.”“I wasn’t asking,” I said, putting the helmet on her and then getting on the bike.“Hand here” I said, taking her hands and bringing them around my middle. I loved the way her small hand felt around me. Or the way
Lucius’ point of view“Yours," she murmurs, and that sends me over the edge, but I want her to come first. I thrust into her as if my life depended on it.“Oh… Fuck Lucius!” She growls and with a loud moan, she comes, melting in my arms, but I want to fill her with my seed.“Oh yes! Fuck Kat. You taste so fucking perfect!”A grunt leaves my lips, and I follow, coming inside her. Her body trembles, but I hold her tight to me. As she buries her head in my chest.“I hate you,” she whispers, almost out of breath, and I chuckle“I know,” I whisper, holding her as if I let her go. She might run away from me.‘Put me down,” She tries to get out of my arms, but I hold tight. ‘Let me take care of you”“No. Not today,” she tries to push away, but I start heading for her room. I lied to her.Hurt her by not telling her the truth.“Lucius, please.” She whispers, but I place her on the bed. My hard member brushed against her stomach. I still want more of her, but I don’t think she wants me anywhe
Katrina’s point of view“What the fuck are you doing, Katrina?”“Nothing. I just—”“It’s not what you think.” I try to touch him, but he steps back from me. I narrow my brows, wondering why he won’t let me touch him.“Here. Noah is by that corner over there in my car. We need to fucking talk.” he hands me my jacket and shoes before walking away.I swallow hard.Looking at the road ahead of me, people glance at me, but I just lower my head before making my way towards the car. Once I am in the back seat, I take off my wig.“Wow. Kat, this style suits you” he exclaims, a smile on his face when he looks at me and I chuckle, shaking my head.“Hey, Noah. How did you guys find the loft?” I asked him, sitting back in my chair, and he shrugged.“The rogue beta was outside Kaelin’s apartment. She reported it, and we trailed him here. What were you doing here?” he asked, turning to look at me.“Looking for answers,” I say, and he raises his brows“Answers? Kat—”The door opens, and Lucius gets
Katrina’s point of view“You need to leave,” he says to me, and I shake my head, going to him. “I will stay and reason with them.”“Cute Kit Kat. But no.”“Please. I am a deputy commander. I can reason with them and explain why you came to me,” I say to him, placing a hand on his chest. His heart is pounding so hard against his chest.“No. You will not. If they found you here, the only thing they would conclude is that you are conspiring with us. Why do you think history labels your pack as power-hungry?” he asks me as I stare at him. His men are mobilizing themselves, ready for a fight.“Don’t fight. Let them take you. You will not lose any lives,” I say to him, and he shakes his head.“I am not going down without a fight. We came in without an official invitation. Do you know what that means?” he asks me as I inhale sharply.“I know what it fucking means, Aidan. Fight and you lose some of your men. Just Surrender. Lucius is not the kind of person to attack without reason,” I try to
Katrina’s Point of View“Water? Whiskey?” Aidan offered as we walked into the Loft. His men eye me like some predators, ready to pounce.I smile weakly because most of them don’t stand a chance, especially with Sage fuming the way she is right now.“Water.”He goes to the fridge, taking out a bottle of water before coming back with it, and he grabs a bottle of whiskey.“You look different” he starts, settling down in front of me and I take the seat just opposite him.“Trying to fit in. I don’t think a uniformed woman should be coming into this building,” I reply, and he nods.“It suits you. You should dress like this more often” he leans back, a smug on his face but thankfully his eyes are not roaming in places they should not but my face.“I prefer the uniform.”“Bullshit. That fucking looks hideous on you. This is more your style. Badass Luna who doesn’t give a shit about rules,” he laughs, and I roll my eyes.‘You knew my brother”“Yes. But Kit-Kat—”“Katrina.” I correct him. It’s
Katrina’s point of view“Fuck! Fuck!” I growled, kicking the tires of the car that Willow hired for me to use while she organized the purchase of a new one.‘Deep breaths, Kat. Deep breaths’ Sage encouraged, but I couldn’t do it. It was suddenly getting hard to breathe.Lucius has been lying to me. Xavier divorced me. My brother was lying to his family. My father might also be part of the reason there’s a war.Why do all the men in my life do this? I blink back my tears, leaning against the car.‘It’s not your fault,’ Sage echoes.‘Are you sure? I feel like the one writing my life hates me,’ I retort, blinking back the tears threatening to fall.My brother’s betrayal hits like a knife in my chest. How could he do this to me? What was he hoping to achieve?“For someone who is a leader. Crying there doesn’t seem like a superb feat,” Martin’s voice comes behind me as I close my eyes.‘I don’t have time for you, Martin,” I say, turning around to open the door, but he hands me a handkerchi
Katrina’s point of view“Katrina!” I heard Ryan’s voice behind me just as I stepped out of the meeting room. I scoffed, stopping in my tracks.“You look…Umm…”“Formal?” I finish his sentence, and he nods, his lips turning up in a smile. “And you have been missing,” I say monotone before turning around and starting to walk towards the exit. He falls in step with me as we make our way through the hallway.“Well, had things to deal with. How have you been? You look—” he pauses, waiting for the alpha who was passing to go before coming closer.“Tired?”“Glowing. I see you and the Alpha Prince have decided to make it work,” He whispers, his smile reaching his eyes.My heart sinksHow can I tell him that Lucius and I are done? And never going to make it work?“Not really.” I lower my gaze, putting my hands in the pockets of my trousers.“What happened? Don’t tell me Cassian had something to do with this?” He says through gritted teeth, and I laugh, shaking my head.“You should be on his sid
Lucius’s point of view“You are late. Should we—” Alpha Dante is the one wanting to scold me, and I scoff, plopping down in my chair.“Save your energy. I had important things to do in the east wing. Not that I should explain myself to you,” I growl, and Cassian watches me.‘How is she?’ he links to me, his voice sounding tired.‘Well, not the best. You should go to see her sometimes.’ I say to him, and he doesn’t reply instead his gaze goes to Katrina.‘She misses you’‘She is a lost cause,’ He deadpans. I know he doesn’t believe that because he would have given up on her.‘What she did was wrong. You should forgive her for—’‘No. She left me when I needed her. I am never visiting her,’ he says, and with that, he cuts me off.Sometimes I forget that Nana is the reason Cassian doesn’t smile anymore, or why he is as cold and arrogant as he is.“Now that we are here. I received word this morning. The wedding has been pushed up. Our enemies are growing stronger every day, so the rogue ki
Lucius’s point of viewI saw her. She is fine. That’s all that matters. She can hate me all she wants if it will make her feel better. But I am not letting her go. She is mine and will always be.Once I arrive back at the palaces, I throw on my black leather jacket on my black T-shirt before making my way into the drawing room.I have a briefing with Cassian later, but I want to visit Nana before that. I miss the times I would go to her and just lie down on her lap, letting her play with my hair. But lately, her health has been deteriorating, and I worry. As I make my way to her side of the palace, a few people bow to me, but I keep walking.Once I get into the room, I look around. The room is still the same, with light brown curtains, matching couches, and a coffee table in the middle.I walk towards the patio to the other side of the room. She is in her wheelchair, staring into nothing. Her head was slightly tilted.“Nana,” I whisper as I kneel on one leg. She doesn’t move her head,
Katrina’s point of viewThe first thing I do when I am up is leave Bray in my room and as always, Shannon already has my breakfast ready, and Willow is coming towards me with the tablet ready to update me on things back home.Tyler thought it was best that he updated me on everything about the pack in readiness for me to go back in a couple of weeks.Once the marriage passes, I head back to my pack. I was tired of this fucking capital. It’s only now that I realize why my father always hated coming here.“I drew your bath. And I was hoping you would—”“I am good. Already took a shower” I say, sitting down to try the waffles she made this morning. The aromatic smell of coffee fills the kitchen as freshly baked cinnamon rolls. “Good morning,” Bray growls, coming into the kitchen while rubbing his eyes as he comes from my room. The two omegas swap looks, but they try not to make it noticeable. I smile, bringing the cup to my lips.“Your bed is so comfortable,” he says, pouring himself a c
