Elijah

I stand still and wonder what the hell to say.

"I'm fine, Elijah," Storm walks to me and hugs me. I look past to where Orion is.

"Thanks for acting quickly, and I'm sorry," I know I caused this.

"It's fine, but she's going to bed now," Orion looks at her, and I laugh as I see her eyes roll.

"He's right; you should get some sleep," I smile, hug her, and watch as she walks out.

"What's going to happen with Rose?" Turning, I look at my dad. I need to know. I can't just avoid it.

"Right now, I'm giving her time to calm down. I'll speak to her, and then she leaves the city."

My eyes widen. "You're going to banish her?" Is that a joke?

"Banishing her would involve throwing her out of the kingdom entirely. Just the city, Elijah, so she is away from you all. That way, if she wants revenge, she isn't getting in without us knowing." His words don't help. I don't think she should be thrown out of the city entirely.

"We should talk," my dad says, pulling me out of the room and into a quiet
