"She's here!"

"Shall we start beating that bullshit again?!"

"My allowance will be reduced because of her!"

"That weirdo deserved what she got today!"

"That wuss! She's the reason I am grounded for a month!"

Luna didn't know who was talking. At this time, all she knew was that she would be hurt by their hands. She looked at them one by one and saw their evil grins. Their grins made Luna's hairs on the back of her neck stand up.

She stood like an idiot awaiting her end. Suddenly, someone kicked her in the back. The girl fell to her knees and then to the floor, with an additional kick to her neck compounding the impact. The kick was heavy, and Luna's neck was severely in pain. Someone stepped on her head. It was stepped on several times, and the girl's face almost touched the floor.

No one was held back, and no one complained. They all enjoy this torture. Each laughed and seemed to be convincing the other to continue.

"You bitch! Someone like you should disappear from this school. You are an eyesore! You all are making us suffer. You are too much of a hero!" Mendez said so.

Mendez also stepped on Luna's head. Not satisfied with what was done, he grabbed Luna's head and slammed it into the concrete floor. Luna did not react. She felt dizzy, and her vision was burning. Didn't they feel sorry for beating Luna? The malnourished Luna?

The poor girl was hurt, and no one seems to mind. Others have baseball bats. Regardless of where they got the bat from, their goal was to paralyze Luna. They know that no matter what, they can get away with it.

"You should have learned your lesson by now, bitch!" Mendez spat and grinned evilly.

Luna was picked up by two of her female classmates and forced to her knees. The girl looked around and saw everyone present. There's blood on her forehead. One of her eyes was covered with blood. She could only see with one eye.

Their cruel smiles were on display. Their plans will be carried out today. No one appears to have heard their voices. The staff probably also turned a deaf ear in this mess.

"Are you ready, guys? We should give our beloved Luna Janus Jayson a punishment that she won't ever forget. She can confront this punishment repeatedly and reflect on her role within this school." Mendez stated, he is their leader.

"Have mercy. Have mercy..." Luna tried to plead, but no one gave her sympathy.

They just shrugged and smirked. Luna expected this. When Mendez signaled to the rest of their classmates, Luna closed her eyes.

They came in one by one and hit Luna with their hands. They punched and kicked Luna. They didn't stop until she's bleeding. Luna coughed up blood, but they didn't seem to want to beat her, even though she was already in a pathetic condition.

"It's not enough, guys. Let's stomp on her!" Mendez made a suggestion on which everyone agreed. They didn't just stomp; others also punched and kicked Luna's head. The girls slapped Luna and pulled her hair.

"E-Enough, please... I'm begging you. Please...." Luna begged in a weak voice.

Her whole body was very painful. Her whole body was full of wounds. The girl's blood was flowing from her forehead, nose and mouth. She coughed up blood several times.

Thirty people tortured Luna.

"I'm begging you. Please!" Luna begged again, but no one listened; instead, they laughed.

"Your begging is pointless." One of her classmate spat.

Luna lay down on the cold concrete floor. She can't move her body. She looked at them, and her eyes were almost lifeless.

The others joined in and threw the cigarettes they were smoking at her, hitting various parts of Luna's body. Luna is a victim of influence and wealth. Luna is envious and jealous of selfish individuals who only focus on their selfish interests.

From Luna's perspective, Mendez was visible. He gave the poor girl an evil grin. "I don't think this is enough. Bring me something deserving of our beloved Luna's face," he said sarcastically. They followed what Mendez said. Someone brought a large, hard rock. Luna's eyes widened as she gasped in shock. Luna knew what to do!

"Don't! Please!" She tried to stop the cruelty of the classmate, but Mendez only grinned like a demon and dropped the rock right on Luna's face and head.

It slammed against Luna's face. They laughed and clapped their hands as if they were still celebrating their stupidity. She girl was unable to move from her position. Her entire system is gradually shutting down, and the end is in sight.

They were all cheering while a body was on the verge of death. They didn't appear to mind. It is more correct to say that they do not care about her life.

"Perhaps you'll grow old enough to recognize who you encounter." Mendez said those final words as they all walked away, as if nothing had happened.

Luna was left all alone. Her breath was leaving her slowly. The rock struck Luna's face, causing damage.

Her head is cracked, and her face is bleeding. Luna looked up at the sky. The heartless did not know that her heartbeat was gradually weakening and slowly fading.

Because she had lost so much blood, Luna was slowly dying. She was here in this world for sixteen years, and she hopes she didn't come back.

"Poor end." She muttered to herself.

Luna girl cried. Two lone tears fell in her eyes. All she wants is to study happily and be successful. But why is that? Why is it that whoever is good person is the one who has to suffer?

'All I wanted to do was prove myself and be a decent person. Why is my ending like this?' She questioned herself once more.

She feels sorry for herself. Luna became a victim of other people's envy. She lacks the strength to remove the stone from her face in order to relieve her pain.

Luna's entire body seemed like a burning candle that was slowly losing its flame. The gloomy night and impending rain seemed to sympathize with the girl.

It's strange that one star shone brightly while it started to rain. Luna feels like she has nothing more to fight for in order to live. She will just accept her fate.

'If I am given the chance to live again, I will want to wield great power. I wanted to trample on everyone who had abused me. I wanted each of them to beg for mercy.' These words are the only ones that can be heard in the mind of the person who is slowly losing her life.

"If I could live again. I want to be more than just a weak and insignificant Luna." Luna muttered to herself and laughed at her life's trivialities.

Luna knows that this night she will writhe like a leaf that will vanish in an instant. Nobody will weep for her. Nobody would recognize her. No one noticed Luna, as if she were a forgotten person who should never be remembered again.

Those things are true. She will be lost without doing anything for herself, and that is what she will regret as her eyes slowly close and her heart stops beating.

Luna Janus Jayson has passed away, leaving behind a life filled with deep regrets.

Alessia sighed deeply as her uncle and the Chief Knight of this Dukedom left. Beads of sweat came out of her body while they were talking. "Is this... really my uncle's castle?" Alessia mumbled under her breath, her eyes wide with awe as she moved down the enormous hall. The stone walls rose high above her, with towering arches flowing gently overhead. The walls were covered with intricate carvings of legendary creatures and luminary symbols, all lighted by the warm glow of candles flickering in their sconces. Sunlight filtered through stained-glass windows, creating beautiful patterns on the floor. It felt lively, full of light and warmth, in contrast to the Endymion palace's chilly, depressing atmosphere. Joya, her uncle's appointed maid, followed her carefully, directing her toward the library. The calm echo of their footsteps echoed through the hall, providing a soothing counterpoint to Alessia's rapid thoughts. "This castle is beautiful," Alessia whispered almost to herself, her gaze drawn to the intricate features of the marble columns and gorgeous tapestries that adorned the walls. "It feels alive, like it has

"I can't enter, My Lady. Only those with Carrios blood are allowed inside." Joya's voice carried an apologetic tone, her eyes downcast. Alessia, still red-eyed from crying over Joya's painful story, stood before the massive wooden doors of the Carrios family library, her heart racing. She had been eager to explore the wealth of knowledge inside, especially after hearing whispers of the library's treasures. Her past life as Luna had been filled with books—her only escape from the world's cruelty. In this life, Alessia craved that same solace. But her curiosity was tempered by awe as the doors creaked open, revealing a sight that made her breath catch in her throat. "Well, Joya," Alessia muttered under her breath, a teasing smile on her lips. "I think I'd kill to own a library like this." Her voice was barely above a whisper as she stepped inside, wide-eyed with wonder. Shelves stretched from the polished marble floor to the vaulted ceiling, filled with thousands of leather-bound boo

"Uncle, are you sure I'm ready for this?" Alessia asked, gazing into the great halls of the castle as they made their way to the training area. Duke Andro Carrios walked behind her, his posture firm and his emerald eyes brimming with calm assurance. "You're all good. Your strength is already enough. Did the healer tell you so? And, Alessia, strength comes from more than just physical training," he said, his voice stern but gentle. "It's about developing willpower, dependability, and understanding when to stand firm. You're capable of it all. And you have my complete support." Alessia sent a quick glance at her uncle, the only member of her family who had ever shown her genuine concern. "I don't want to disappoint you." "You won't," he murmured, putting his hand on her shoulder. "Alessia, I believe in your goodness and your kindness. This world, Luminary, needs someone to rectify the wrongs. I know you can." Her heart was thrilled yet felt heavy. His comments held a weight she

"Fine. If no one wants to help me, I'll help myself," Alessia muttered under her breath as she walked down a narrow path behind her uncle's castle. The crisp air bit at her skin, but the cold was nothing compared to the icy stares she'd been receiving for days. The knights, the instructors assigned by her uncle—they all refused to look her in the eye. Their hostility was palpable, thickening the atmosphere like a storm waiting to break. She clutched the books she had taken from the library tightly in her arms, her heart heavy with disappointment, but she refused to let it break her spirit. Finding a small, secluded clearing beyond the castle's walls, Alessia exhaled deeply. The spot was quiet, peaceful. A place where no one would disturb her. Here, she could try to understand herself better. Try to become strong without needing anyone else. Sitting down on the cool grass, she placed the books in front of her and let her fingers trace the worn covers. "You're not like them," she w

"How could you be so reckless, Alessia?!" The sharp voice of her uncle snapped Alessia out of a hazy dream, pulling her from the darkness. She blinked her eyes open slowly, her body heavy with exhaustion. The ceiling above her was unfamiliar, the lavish drapery indicating that she was in one of the castle's private rooms. The pain in her body brought back memories of the explosion of her luminous light. "Uncle?" Alessia's voice was weak, but it was enough to silence the furious words coming from across the room. Duke Andro Carrios, standing near the door, immediately strode towards her, his face still a mask of frustration. "You're awake," he said, relief flickering in his emerald eyes, but it was quickly overshadowed by anger. "How could you? Summoning your luminous without any guidance? Without anyone there to ensure your safety?" Alessia winced, both from the pain and the weight of his words. She hadn't realized how dangerous her actions had been. "I... I didn't know," she whi

"What were you thinking, Alessia?" Andro's voice echoed throughout the room, and his fists slammed into the desk with enough power to rock the inkpot perched on its edge. Alessia stood in front of her uncle, arms crossed, with an enigmatic but defiant face. "I was thinking someone had to stop that monster," she stated calmly, despite her hammering pulse. Andro looked at her, his expression a mix of fury and exasperation. "You thought recklessly—that's what it is! Do you understand what you have done? Do you have any idea what would have happened if someone had recognized you?" Alessia's jaw tensed, but she maintained her stare. "Yes. I know exactly what the implications are. And if I had to do it over again, I would not hesitate." Her comments were like a spark that ignited dried tinder. Andro stood up from his chair and paced behind the desk, running his hand over his hair. "Unbelievable. It's just unbelievable. You're meant to be hidden, Alessia! Instead of drawing attention

"Stop it!" Alessia's voice sounded as harsh and furious as the crack of the whip she had seized by her hand in midair. The overweight aristocrat, Marquess Lucresio Prite, turned, his face contorted with rage and wrath. "How dare you disrupt my discipline? Do you know who I am, you arrogant wretch?" His voice roared throughout the marketplace, drowning out the whispers of the assembled audience. "I don't care who you are," Alessia said, her tone cold and her grasp tightening on the whip. She stood steady, her hood covering her face. The child on the ground shivered behind her, his bare back covered in bloody welts. Raizel mumbled beneath his breath as he stepped closer. "Lady, stop. This is not the time for this. You are attracting too much attention!" But Alessia was not listening. Her eyes, aflame with anger, remained fixed on the Marquess. "You do not have the right to harm him. No one does." The Marquess snarled, his jowls trembling as he motioned to his knights. "Arrest he

"Why are we here?" Raizel finally spoke up, but his tone was tense with doubt, and he looked quickly back and forth between Alessia and the tall trees in the Velmor Forest. There wasn't much light coming through the thick forest above, but the long shadows that danced around them were scary. Alessia didn't seem to be scared. She knelt down and removed an object from her bag, resembling a flattened sphere with intricate carvings that emitted a faint glow. Without responding to Raizel's question, she carefully placed the object on the mossy ground. "Lady Alessia, please answer." Raizel's voice was strong, but it was clear that he was getting tense. Sirena, the other knight, softly spoke up and put her hand on Raizel's arm. "Be quiet, Raizel." She looked back at Alessia with her golden eyes. "She must have a reason." Raizel clenched his teeth and didn't say anything else. As he watched Alessia work, he felt more and more uneasy. She stood up and rubbed her hands against her coat.

"Please, Uncle! I need to go out," Alessia begged, her voice strong but full of desperation. She stood in Andro's office with her hands clasped together, as if she were praying to a god. With its dark wood furniture and shelves full of old books, the room had a sad vibe that made the mood even darker. Andro's serious face had a soft glow from the golden light of dusk that came in through the thick curtains. As Andro looked at her, he raised an eyebrow and curled his fingers under his chin. "Alessia, where do you really think you're going?" Even though his voice was cold, it was clear that he was worried. "The Endymion Empire," Alessia said, putting her back straight. "I need to check out what's going on there. I need to find out what's been going on since they declared me dead. I'll be hiding, so no one will be able to tell who I am. I promise!" Andro's face got darker. He got up and walked around the desk to face her directly. His tall frame made him look big. "After what happen

Alessia said to herself, "I really hope there's an easier way out of this next time," as she stumbled out of the ruins. Every step hurt her body. Even though her legs felt like lead and her vision was a little foggy, the cool evening air felt great on her. The sun was low in the sky, and its fiery colors made the distance look gold and red. Alessia opened her eyes and looked ahead. A vast ocean, teeming with breaking waves, crashed against the cliffside. She whispered, "Beautiful." She limps to a nearby rock that looked like a temple section and falls. She didn't care that the hard surface didn't help her pain much. As she looked out at the sea, the sunset played in her tired eyes. A peculiar sensation in her chest halted her movement. The sword she had just bought, the Blade of Lumina, started to shimmer with light all of a sudden. Before she could do anything, the blade broke up into glowing bits that rushed into her body and sent a warm, soothing pulse through her veins. "Wh

"I'm really sick of this..." Alessia mumbled something under her breath as she slouched against the rough rock wall that was blocking her way to the Vorgath. She furiously rubbed her temples, her face contorted in rage. The other creature refused to surrender. Every time its huge body hit something, the rocks shook, sending shockwaves through the cave. "Great, really great. Could you not make this easy, please?" Alessia hissed at the trembling wall and glared through the cracks at the bright red eyes of the shadow snake. The animal hissed very loudly, and you could feel how angry it was. The rage of the Vorgath made the air feel colder and heavier. It was losing its cool, and she knew it would break through soon. "Okay. I get it. You're upset. I'm mad. Let's just get this over with," she said in a mean voice as she held her broken sword handle. She looked at the broken blade and sighed. "Facts. "It's Vorgath!" Alessia shouted, her voice trembling but clear as she recognized the ancient terror slithering toward them. "Everyone, stay alert! Vorgath hides in shadows, striking before you even see it!" Her warning echoed around the damp stone walls, but most of her comrades looked as though they had just witnessed a nightmare made real. Gritting his teeth, Raizel cast a skeptical glance at her. "Why should we trust you, Endymion? You're just here to—" A sudden hiss cut him off. The air grew thick, as though drenched in poison, and an oily black liquid shot from the darkness, hitting one of their comrades square in the chest. The scream that followed was horrendous, echoing through the chamber as his flesh melted, leaving only bone behind. The others froze in sheer terror, staring as their fellow knight collapsed—a lifeless skeleton where a man had once stood. "Get it together!" Alessia yelled, snapping them out of their horror. "Vorgath's too fast for us to stand here paralyze

"Left," Alessia softly sighed, gently rubbing her temple as if it were the hundredth time. "I believe it would be best for us to choose the path on the left, Raizel. There appears to be a discrepancy with the path on the right." Raizel crossed her arms without bothering to glance her way. "Lady Alessia, the decision is not yours to make, whether it be right or left. I will consult the others," he mentioned casually, shifting his attention to the knights, seemingly unaffected by her words. Alessia discreetly tightened her jaw, suppressing a sigh while the skeptical knights looked her way. "Are you sure you're prepared for this, Lady Alessia?" Troil Testmi's voice was stern, but there was a trace of anxiety as he looked at her armor. "The Vasselgrove Ruins aren't a place for the unprepared." Alessia looked up from the delicate silver etching she was running her fingers over in her armor. She smiled reassuringly, but her fingers quivered slightly. "Sir Troil, I wouldn't have arrived if I wasn't prepared. My armor might not seem impressive to some, but..." She paused, not wanting to appear cocky. "I crafted it myself. It's stronger than it appears." As they reached the ruins, Alessia could hear low giggles from a few of the knights moving beside them. Raizel, one of the most doubtful, snickered as he examined her small armor, his tone condescending. Raizel remarked, "It appears she's donning paper armor. She's certain to face death before she even makes it to the entrance." Alessia maintained her poise and ignored Raizel's jabs. She was not here to prove herself t
