Chapter 21 (Part 2)

I slowly open my eyes to the muffled voices that surround me.

The first thing that I see is the white ceiling that indicates I'm lying down. That's when I noticed the soft mattress of the bed against my skin.

“She's awake.” It was Lucas.

“Thank you so much.”

“Yeah. Whatever it is you'll need, Lucas. See you around.”

Lucas is talking to a man whose voice is not really familiar to me. But I know in fact, that I am in a hospital and maybe he was talking to the doctor that assisted me.

“Hey,” His hand quickly lays on my forehead to feel it with his touch. He's now extra gentle, and I don't know how to exactly react to it.

“How are you feeling?” His hand moves down to my neck as if he's inspecting my temperature.

“I feel fine, but my head is still throbbing a little bit.” I watch him sit on the bed just beside me with an expression on his face that I can't seem to name.

“I know that I passed out. What did the doctor said?”

Now, he has a hold on my wrist and he's feeling my pulse.

“Just som
