“It’s only day one… You’re a warrior, remember?” He reminded while pulling me to my feet.

“A warrior… Not a princess…” I whispered rubbing my face. I can’t do the princess thing. I mean it took hours to learn to glide and I only did it twice. I know I have to learn a lot of other things too.

“Think of this as a battle, Karen. You’re training for a new type of fight…” He replied as he picked me up. He walked back to the drawing room. Charles was waiting outside for us. “I’m putting her on bed rest for the remainder of the day due to her extreme stress levels. Maybe we should see about having her lessons done somewhere a little less intimidating. Can you ask the king about that? At least for the first two weeks?”

“Absolutely, Doctor Pliktos. I will ask him after I escort Prince Conor back to his apartments. I hope you feel better, Princess Karen.” Charles stated bowing his head respectfully.
