Dismay (Part 1)

“I guess I don’t have a choice but to be. I don’t like being away from him Joanne… Maybe it’s just because it’s been a very long and emotional day.” I whispered fighting against my raging emotions and tears. “I feel like I’m being punished, and I don’t know what I did wrong. Other than just existing.”

Thirty minutes later, there was a knock and the door opened. A servant walked in, bowed and handed me a letter. He left as soon as the letter was in my hand. I looked over at Joanne as I turned it over in my hands. A letter? It was unmarked so I opened it. ‘Kay, I love you and I miss you so much! I know it’s only been an hour but it’s far too quiet and I want you back! I can’t wait to see you tomorrow and just hold you. Try not to cry my love. Love you forever, CWV’ I burst into tears as Joanne took the letter and read it.
