LIONEL

Earlier that day.....

“How could you go so far as to reject her as your mate?”

I was already so pissed about how it had all played out the previous night. The last thing I needed was another lecture from my grandfather.

“The sight of her was enough to disgust me. I want nothing to do with a Donovan. I thought I’ve made it clear enough.” I growled.

“A treaty has been made.”

“And I never said it was not going to be. If she will be my Luna to satisfy the godforsaken politics of this pack, then so be it… but her being my Luna is never her being my mate. I disapprove of her.” I shot back at him.

I couldn’t remember when I had been this angry at him before.

“And Lucius? Was that what he wanted?”

“You have no business with the wolf in me.” I shot back coldly, unwavering. “I won’t be having this conversation any further. I have a workday tomorrow.”

I rose now and made my way to my room, crashing into my bed at once. I clutched my chest as the memory surfaced again. I could feel Luciu

REGINAI had instantly lost it. One minute, I was already the star of the show, and the other, I was frozen, staring at the brutal, vicious Lionel of Silver Moon Pack. As an actress, it was normal to have the skills of being able to overcome every side distraction, but Lionel wasn’t just a side distraction.I was his rejected mate. His words from the previous night shot through my heart again like a bullet and I clutched my chest, my wolf purring within me. It was then that I began to gain control of what was happening again, and I realized I was losing the audition.Goddess, what do I do?I tried to think as fast as possible. Just then, I heard Gwen cheer from the audience and then another voice joined her, and then another, and another. It was then I understood – they all thought I was acting.Great! I immediately picked it up, like I was finishing my improvised display of shock on seeing the newly arrived judge. Desperately, I moved to him, creating my own script, my heart thrummi

REGINAEveryone was waiting for their answers.“You know, as an actress, you’re supposed to have a hundred percent ability to concentrate, right?” Frankenstein put it out. They were not making this any easier.“Right.” I replied calmly.“And then, somehow, our boss was domineering enough to hold you spellbound? What is he? Your crush? Your mate?” Brenda had to be the most annoying judge seated, running her mouth without caring just how much it actually did hurt. Of course, he was my mate and guess what? He rejected me and left me to crumble in pain. I felt like lashing out at her with the answers to her sick questions, but I retained my cool. No one needed another drama presently.“Well, it’s understandable that anyone will be stunned by the irresistible appearance of the Silver Moon Alpha. I can’t blame you,” Frankenstein continued.“It’s not something that’s bound to keep happening.” I assured him quite confidently.“Oh, and even if it does happen, you’ve proven to us that you kn

REGINA“Gina… Regina! Come on. Please, get yourself.” I heard Gwen’s urgent pleas. “I can hear you clearly, Gwen. I am with you.” I replied and slowly, like a robot, I moved away from the view of the people already giving side gossips as to what may be going on between me and the alpha and slowly, Gwen led me to the backstage.“What in the heck was that?” Gwen screamed now. “He had no right to do that!” It was as if Gwen was just trying to hold everything within her and now, like me, she was slowly exploding.“I can see now just how much Lionel plans to destroy my life.”“He would not dare do that!” Gwen replied. My thoughts were even on the further future now. “What will happen to me when I finally become his Luna? I want you to picture this clearly, Gwen. Can you see just how terribly my life has been ruined?”“Is there a way to avoid this abomination of a marriage from taking place?”I felt the tea

LIONELThese judges had to be joking. I simply watched them like little fools as they discussed how excellent Regina had been. I sat there in their midst as they discussed the best actress for the lead role and settled for who they thought best. For some reason, none of them even bothered to ask me for my opinion on what I thought about their decision and so I decided to leave it to them. Let’s see just how much power they’ve got to make the decision on their own. Besides, it would be more fun to begin tarnishing Regina’s career when everyone was present. I waited for them to give their pointless verdict and when they were done, it was time for the boss to speak. To hell with their decisions – Regina was out. I could see it on her face – the pain, the sorrow, the shock as she realized I was truly in charge of her life. What was she thinking? That she could just do without me? I was even yet to begin.“Please, sir… Can you at

REGINAI and Gwen were definitely done with Sun Entertainment and there was no going back. As I made my way towards the streets to hail a cab, I spotted Frankenstein though.“Hi, sir.” I called out to him.“Oh, hey there.” He replied as he drew closer, sounding much nicer and more accommodating than he had given off within the audition.“I am so sorry, sir. This was never meant to play out this way. I…” I searched for the words to express just how bad I felt.“No, it’s alright miss. I went through his beta – Ryker. Ryker spoke to him on my behalf, and he let me on board again.” Frankenstein replied.A wave of relief swept through me as I heaved a sigh. “That’s great.” I replied rather calmly. He read the sadness in my voice instantly.“You’re a talented actress, you know.” His voice came low and mellowed.I chuckled. Of course, a talented actress that was just kicked out, thanks to a contract marriage coming up in no time.“What exactly happened back there?” Frankenstein asked. “I don

  • Loving the Cold-Hearted Alpha Lionel    Peace in the Wild

LIONELAs if it wasn’t enough that I had such a busy day, Ryker was still all about discussion of the other pack groups and something about making treaties with humans.“Can you believe that one of our international business partners – Citadel Groove Pack – could not make their debt payment because they had to pay the humans a huge sum of money to sign and consent to some use of industrial resources?” Ryker babbled. It caught my attention and for a second, I was interested. “Aren’t they just humans? Isn’t the alpha there supposed to put them in their place?”“Well, the humans had some sort of protests there. They resigned from their positions in companies owned by our kinds and cut off business deals.”“What are they suddenly thinking? That they could put us under their control?”“Well, as long as every part remains in check, I guess we’ll be fine, won’t we?”I scoffed. “Things like this can only happen in those other parts of the world; not in Silver City where I’m the chief alpha. REGINA It was as obvious as it could ever get. There was something wrong with me and at that moment, I thought I could see my own death coming for me. Ruby, what is going on? Ruby was not responding, and I was choking slowly. “Help…” I tried to yell but my voice was only a groan of pain. “Help.” I was not loud enough so definitely, my father was within the room, completely unaware that his daughter was about to die. If this was death, then I was ready. Though painful, though hurting, it was better for me than having to live a life with an alpha that would tear my heart apart. It was better the pain came once and left me for good. Slowly, I began to feel the life slip out of my body as my eyes came shut, but just almost immediately, I could hear the familiar voice of Gwen. “Gina?” I wanted to reply. I wanted to say something, but I only sighed instead, and that should have been my last breath as I opened my eyes and found myself in a whole new world. I gasped as I rose

  • Loving the Cold-Hearted Alpha Lionel    Hunting Gone Wrong

LIONEL I was hungry, extremely hungry for fresh meat, and not one that had been cut up and served on a plate, but one I had gotten out here in the wild. The thing is I was too hungry to pay attention to my senses. Perhaps, I could have traced the smell of blood to that of a wolf. I could have also listened to Lucius instincts drawing me off. It was when I had pounced on her that her screams erupted into the air. “Gwen!” I heard a familiar voice cry and instantly I pulled away, shifting into my human form. Ryker came to my side just then and instantly understood what just happened. I had attacked another person. “Oh goodness!” Ryker cried as he instantly ran to her. “She’s injured!” Ryker cried. I already knew that. I had pounced so hard that my claw had grabbed her side. She was just lucky my jaws had not gone round her neck. The other lady stood now and ran to me in fierce ange

REGINAI was still waiting for something to take place. But for now, all that was around me was the darkness. These people had a new way of trapping their prisoners. I had expected that since they took me in as a prisoner, I was going to either be chained or kept in a cell. No, the Mountain Men had a different prison style, one even worse than being chained or trapped in a cell. I was in a dark room with a darkness that was seemingly unnatural. It was pitch black here to such great intensity that it felt like the darkness was light itself. It felt dangerous to move around as I couldn’t even tell in a bit what lay ahead, nor could I see through with my night vision or smell anything that was different from nothingness. All I could do was remain still where I was left and wait. “Had we made a wrong decision?” I asked Ruby. I could hear my voice echo. Oh, Regina. I can’t tell anymore what is going on. Ruby replied. LIONELI glided through the forest slowly and cunningly. There was so much risk attached with the swarms of men I could feel moving through the forests as well. It was goodbye to the hotel now, and the plan was to get to the mountains and find Regina. Afterwards, we would leave this goddamned Maldives like we were never there. But for now, to get to the mountains at all was to pass through the forest alive. I could hear sounds as my senses picked on my surroundings. At first, it appeared to be the men, but it was only the ordinary activities of the forests. “We need to take the wolf form now.” I whispered to Lucius. I knew he consented. I crouched to the ground and slowly drifted into my wolf form. Now, Lucius was the one dominating the most. Things were about to get destructive. Lucius had no stopping. I continued through the forest and shortly, I heard another sound, like a footstep. Then another footstep came an

LIONEL I was in a world where I was just having a little fun and both women fell dead right before me while I barely escaped an attacker that could clean up a murder scene in seconds. I was in a world where everything was uncertain. What if I just found Regina to be dead? How would I explain it all to Grandpa? How would Grandpa ever forgive me when I wouldn’t even be able to forgive myself? Forgive myself? I gave it a thought. Had I done something wrong? Well, I had been careless with her. I should never have let her out of my sight, no matter how much I despised her. I should have ensured she was always there. Staying in a different room was a bad idea. Now, there was only one way to right all these wrongs. I needed to goddamn move! There was also the detective, though. Nicholas had called the night before and I had never reached out to him again. Perhaps this was also a good time to talk to h

LIONEL “No, Lucius. I think something is beginning to make sense. This cars speaks about healing... restoration of energy... ” Lucius waited, almost like he was beginning to see what I was seeing as well. “Do you remember the night at the wedding, Lucius? The moment when I and Regina were to heal from the blood bonding... We were not healing because our energy core was broken, but then Regina was not healing either.” Are you saying Regina has an issue with her energies as well? “I can’t conclude for sure, but it was most likely that somehow, Regina also had the problem with her energies. You said it yourself that the fact that we were broken did not in any way affect her own healing process, and yet she wasn’t healing fast enough. So what if she had come here…” To find healing? Lucius completed. Oh, dear goddess. I ran my fingers through my hair in realization. It was like an ima

  • Loving the Cold-Hearted Alpha Lionel    Meet the Mountain Man

REGINA It was so dark anyone could have stumbled and fallen but I could easily glide through thanks to my night vision. “Ray, come this way. Hold my hand and let’s go together.” I could hear Ray’s discomfort, stumbling over the rocky grounds as he tried to keep up. I held his arm now and continued through the cave. I could still spot the wolf ahead, gliding through gracefully, checking every now and then to see if we were still following. Then suddenly, the wolf vanished from sight. I was still so busy running as fast as I could that I didn’t even notice that the wolf was already out of sight. When I took notice, however, I came to a stop. Ray stopped beside me, holding his knees as he coughed uncontrollably. Neither of us said a word because we were too busy struggling with our breaths. But I was also too busy trying to find the wolf. I couldn’t see anything. Even with my night vision, this felt darker th

  • Loving the Cold-Hearted Alpha Lionel    Psychopaths Everywhere

LIONEL They would only find their casualties and of course, they should be wiser next time. I heard them from inside and then they were out in the dark again, by the shores of the beach with their guns poised as they scouted the dark, searching for something that may point towards me. Then they started advancing towards the forest, splitting up. The next instinct in my mind now was to play their game, of course. All I needed to do was follow them into the forest—my domain and territory—and there I would kill them one after the other. But then I remembered the casualties in my room. Not only were two men dead—two men whose colleagues had taken their bodies out just before me and most definitely cleared out the evidence of them ever being there. There were also the two ladies I was just having a good time with lying death in my room, both shot in the head. Why was it that anytime I decided to have a little bi

  • Loving the Cold-Hearted Alpha Lionel    Lionel is Attacked

LIONEL What harm could be in a little moment of sex, just a little time to enjoy myself and forgetting the shit of a wife I married? That was what I was experiencing now. I was Lionel Williams. I had my way with whatever I wanted. Imagine having two girls go head over heels to have this moment with me, and yet, there was a wife I had who dared to leave me sight and go out fucking another man. Fuck you, Regina! The good thing is there was something to put all that anger on now. As I cursed at Regina, I squeezed Lydia’s boobs and spanked Jemma’s butts. Both women were already sliding out of their dresses, both stark naked as they moaned and panted, struggling for who could kiss me first. I was still in my clothes even though Lydia’s hand slipped underneath my shirt and rubbed my breasts till it hardened. Jemma was faster. She instantly slid her palm over the bulge of my pants, struggling to grab my crotch as

REGINA After a good while, all we found was nothing but large mountains, a couple of trees sticking out around cooler areas and endless piles of dusty stones. “We can’t be sure we’re making any headway.” Ray stated now beneath one of the shades we found with trees around. “Neither can we be sure we’re safe, right?” I mentioned. Ray gave me an inquisitive glance. “You feel it could be dangerous finding the Mountain Men?” I shrugged. “Well, we can’t exactly tell what is going on yet, can we?” “So what is your plan B? What would happen if we found these Mountain Men and we couldn’t seem to find our way back?” “Lionel would definitely come to look for us.” I replied. Ray seemed panicked. “Look, I need us to get this straight. You said Lionel would not be here to find us.” “Yes, that’s if, of course, I make it back in a day plus and not more than that

REGINA “Such is life. I need help here, Ray, and from your knowledge, only you can help me in this desperate time.” I convinced him further. He nodded now, apparently more energized and ready for the trip. “Alright, are we going to walk there or take a vehicle?” “I don’t want us drawing attention. It’s a tourist center so eyes could be on us. I think we should walk the way.” Ray made a face but shrugged nevertheless. “Alright, we move then.” He replied. I headed for the door slowly and hesitated when I felt his arm on my shoulder. “Regina, are you sure about this?” He asked. I smiled. “Believe me, no sane person wants to embark on this journey. If it wasn’t that important, I wouldn’t be doing this.” He nodded. “Then let’s do what had to be done.’ I left the room, happy to have met someone as helpful and supportive as Ray. As we made our way out of the room, I locke
