CHAPTER FOUR

Aura's POV

It was dark when I got free from work. I was so tired, so I decided to have dinner outside. I went to my favourite café whenever I don’t want to cook.

I came here for food and to meet the owner who is now my good friend.

I went inside the café. I knew almost all the employees now, as I wished them hello and took a seat and the owner came with a broad smile on her face.

She was an old lady, probably in her 60’s. I wished her hello and asked about her health. She is always so sweet with me and took my order.

I ordered the same. My favorite lemon ice tea with mixed sauce pasta and two slices of onion pizza. She went away with my order.

I was staring out of my window when someone came and stood in front of me. I looked up and freaked out it was the worst person I have met in my entire life, my *EX* Tom. I felt disgusting in his presence.

But I managed not to show it on my face. He smiled still like PSYCOPATH. How could someone's smile make you throw up in their face? I thought while looking at him.

He was with someone before I could say something. He sat across my seat with the stranger. As much as I knew him, she was his new girlfriend.

“Hello!” He said, winking his eyes, AAHHH I hate him so much. I didn’t reply to him. Instead, I stood up from my seat and walked to the counter and asked Lina to pack up my order.

After getting my food, I walked out of the café and went towards my car. Before I could get in the car, I heard the clapping behind me.

I turned around I saw Tom standing and clapping. I decided to ignore him but he would not let me ignore him.

So, I looked at him and said in a cold tone “WHAT HAPPENED? WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME?”

“I just wanted to meet my old friend, that all” he said motioning his hand in the air to surrender, and started coming towards me.

I took a step back, bending towards my car before I could say anything, in the blink of an eye I saw a hard punch coming straight at his face and he was on the ground before he could react.

I looked at the person. It was Harry who helped me. I quickly went behind him. Before Tom could get up from the ground. I asked Harry to sit in the car and I drove from there.

“Who was the person there? I never saw you look that sacred or disgusted?” he asked me in a concerned voice.

Harry is a great guy and my big brother here in LA. When I was new here, he always helped me whenever I needed help.

“Do you remember my ex who bullied me after the breakup?” I asked him.

He looked at me in shock. “YAH, THAT WAS HIM” I told him.

“HOLY FUCK!! SERIOUSLY” he said still in disbelief. I looked at him and nodded. I dropped him at his house and went back to my apartment.

I was so hungry now I quickly took a shower and warmed the food and went to the couch to finally have dinner IN PEACE.

I started eating and I saw my dairy lying there, so I decided to read it while having dinner. I opened my dairy and continued reading from where I left.

DEAR DAIRY…

I went straight in her direction. She was standing at the bar counter. She saw me from the edge of her eyes but a sudden anxiety attacked me and I got so nervous I decided not to talk to her, but you know what, as I walked out of the café and started walking there was a sound approaching me from behind.

I turned around and saw that girl was coming running towards me.

I was shocked and she was standing in front of me.

“Hi” I said and suddenly I remembered I did not even know her name, she saw the

embarrassment on my face.

“Hi, you can call me Ash, Asheely Carles” she replied.

“Hello, nice to meet you” I said.

We decided to hit a bar as she recommended. Talking to her felt so nice as I was talking to her without hesitation to judge, we started to talk about our life journey.

I asked her how she had entered in psychiatrist field and as we were talking, I felt a warmth from her.

My story was very similar to hers in terms of trust issues, as I thought there was a sudden question raised inside me about whether someone got cheated by their own friends.

How can they trust others in the world? I asked the same to ash and she gave me the most beautiful answer.

“EVEN IF EVERYONE IN THE WORLD TURN BACK ON YOU

THERE WILL BE ONE PERSON WHO WILL BE WITH YOU IS YOU”

After reading my old writing, I laughed at myself for being who I was, but I never regret all these things because these are the reasons for being who I am now.

I was very excited about tomorrow I was going to meet Sabestine and I could not even believe it myself. FATE is very unpredictable.

I was thinking all about it until my eyes gave up on their own.
