Aisling POV:

He look so handsome!

So powerful.

So rich.

Everything that I'm not.

He walked inside my flower shop without sparing me a glance.

It was actually a relief. I dont kniw what would have done if he'd looked at me.

Damn it, I look pathetic right now.

I took in a deep breath and wipe my cheek with the back of my hand before walking inside my shop.

"Miss Garcia, this man here is in search of a beautiful flower." Piper called on me.

Oh shit.

Oh shit.

Please not this time.

"Can you please tend to him? I'm trying to regulate my breath here." I told her.

"Of course."

"As the owner I think it's more professional for you to give me what I need, don't you think so Mrs Garcia?" The man asked.

Oh,his voice was as sexy as he looked.

Even though he seems very much older than me, there was this powerful aura surrounding him.

He might be in his early forties or something close to it.

I can't forget the fact that he addressed me as 'Mrs' instead of 'Miss'.

"It is Miss Garcia, what type of flower do you want?" I asked him, walking closer to where he was standing.

"Something that can make a woman happy," he responded, still staring at me, I noted.

I pushed a strand of my hair behind my ear and bit on my lips.

So he was married.

What was I thinking.

Of course he would be married. Why would a man of his age and wealth still remains single?

It doesn't make sense.

I grabbed a rose flower and a lilac.

I personally love the two special flowers so it will be great to recommend what I like.

"You can choose between this two." I told him. I couldn't look him in the eyes.

I couldn't dare.

That would be my breaking point.

I hate this for me.

It has never happened to me before. I don't believe in love at first sight especially not in love with a married man but what I this thing I'm experiencing right now?

Am I going crazy or somethin'?

"Okay, I'll take the rose. 40 pieces of rose." He responded.

Forty? He must really love his wife a lot.

"Your wife is lucky to have a man that loves spending money on flowers for her." I pointed out as I turned around to wrap the flowers for him.

I wasn't expecting him to respond to me but he did.

"What made you think that I'm married?" He asked.

I turned around and our eyes met.

Our. Eyes. Met.

His brown eyes stared into mine challengingly.

He must be kidding.

Why wouldn't he be married?

After wrapping the rose flowers up, I handed it over to him then tuck a strand of my hair behind my ear.

My eyes landed on his chest and I inhaled a sharp breath.

He smelled nice.

"Well you're buying flowers for your wife, or am I wrong?"

I don't know about you but I think this conversation is slowly turning into something more deep and he was entertaining it.

"If it makes you feel better then it is for my mother." He said, a smirk at the corner of his lips.

His mother. So he wasn't married.

But that also can't be a good thing. A responsible man at his age should be married with a kid or two.

I don't understand why people think it's cool to have babies in their late forties and early fifties.

I want to have all my babies before I turn 35 , I want to go to my children's PTA meeting and drive them to school myself. I want to experience everything as much as I can.

This life can't be trusted.

I smiled and nodded my head. The was nothing more to say.

"Piper, please collect the bill from him while I make a call real quick." I told Piper and quickly left where the man was.

I walked towards the counter and grabbed my phone from my bag then dialed my Mom's number.

"il mio bambino (My baby)." Mother said in Italian.

"Mi manchi mamma (I miss you Mom)." I responded to her. I glanced back and noticed that the man was staring at me. It caught me off guard and I blushed profusely.

Why am I feeling this way towards this man?

"Come va (How are you?)." I asked her.

"Everything is fine my dear, I just miss you a lot. I don't understand why you wouldn't come and spend Christmas with us, your Papa misses you a lot." Mom complained.

Whenever she called or I call her it has always been like this: her telling me to come home and spend sometime with them.

"I will come next year, don't worry Mom, we don't rush big moments." I told her.

"Okay baby, we will talk more later i am cooking right now." She told me.

"Bye, Mom,"

"Bye, baby." She responded.

After making the call I turned back but unfortunately the man wasn't there anymore. He left already.

There is no way I'm going to see him again.

I don't even know his name.

Even if I know his name what would I tell him?

I must be thinking through my nose again.

I shook my head and sat down on my chair while scrolling through my phone.

*****

I switched off the lights and walked out of my shop then locked the door.

I grabbed my car keys from my bag and started walking down the street where my car was parked.

At 7:46 pm it seems as though the day was just starting.

There is absolutely no dull moment in New York.

I got to my car and unlocked the door then threw my bag on the passenger's seat before stepping inside the car.

Today went great. The man that bought something from me this morning must be good with business.

I made thrice of what I used to make in a day.

It felt good.

Very good.
