"Holy shit," I managed to gasp out, staring at the ceiling. "That was... fuck."

Sebastian chuckled, a low, satisfied sound. "Eloquent as always, my dear."

I turned my head to glare at him, but couldn't muster any real heat behind it. "Shut up. You fucked my brains out. I'm allowed to be incoherent."

He propped himself up on an elbow, looking down at me with a smirk. "Is that a complaint I'm hearing?"

"Definitely not," I said, stretching languidly. My body felt like jelly in the best possible way. "Though I might need a minute before round two."

Sebastian's eyes darkened. "Oh, I think I can find ways to occupy that pretty mouth of yours while you recover."

I felt a fresh wave of heat rush through me. Damn him and his sexy… everything. "Is that a challenge, Nightshade?"

He grinned, fangs glinting in the low light. "What do you think?"

I smirked back, already reaching for him. "Game on, bloodsucker."

I watched with eager anticipation as Sebastian stood up, his muscular form towering over

  • Loving Lucifer's Daughter   Prologue

I burst through the ornate doors of the throne room, my fury propelling me forward like a meteor hurtling towards Earth. The familiar scent of brimstone and expensive cologne hit my nostrils, but I was too pissed to savour it. My father, Lucifer fucking Morningstar himself, lounged on his obsidian throne like some kind of infernal playboy. His perfect eyebrows arched as I stormed towards him, my hands clenched into fists at my sides."Well, well. To what do I owe this dramatic entrance, my dear?" His smooth voice dripped with amusement. God, I wanted to slap that smirk right off his chiselled face."Cut the crap, Dad," I snarled, coming to a halt at the base of the dais. "I'm done with your bullshit."He leaned forward, elbows on his knees, fixing me with those piercing eyes that had charmed countless souls. "My, such language. What's got you in such a tizzy, Luella?"I took a deep breath, trying to calm the inferno raging inside me. It didn't work. "I can't do this anymore," I said,

Years later…I adjusted my position on the rough concrete of the rooftop, the cool night air kissing my bare shoulders. My sniper rifle, an old friend at this point, was locked and loaded, its scope trained on the dingy apartment window across the street. "Come on, you bastard," I muttered, finger twitching near the trigger. "I've got places to be."The irony wasn't lost on me. Here I was, heir to the throne of Hell, crouched on a mortal rooftop like some common assassin. But hey, a girl's gotta have hobbies, right?I shifted slightly, my black dress riding up my thighs. Normally, I wouldn't give two shits about getting a little blood splatter on my clothes. Hell, back home, it was practically a fashion statement. But tonight was different. Tonight, I had a date.My mind wandered to the bar where I'd be meeting Elias in less than an hour. Would he notice if I showed up smelling like gunpowder and brimstone? Probably. Shifters have an unfortunately good sense of smell.A flicker of mo

As the wings arrived, their spicy aroma hit me like a punch to the gut. Delicious. I grabbed one, biting in without hesitation. The heat exploded on my tongue, a familiar warmth that reminded me of home. Elias, on the other hand, was putting on quite the show. His face contorted in a series of increasingly amusing expressions as he fought against the sauce's intensity. Sweat beaded on his forehead, and his eyes watered.I couldn't help but laugh. "Too much for you, big guy?"He coughed, reaching for his drink. "Jesus Christ, what is this, lava?" "Aw, come on," I teased, licking sauce off my fingers. "It's not that bad. Maybe you're just out of practice."Elias glared at me, but there was no real heat behind it. Well, except for the kind turning his face an alarming shade of red. "How are you not dying right now?"I shrugged, grabbing another wing. "What can I say? I like it hot."As Elias struggled through the plate, I found myself oddly charmed by his determination. There was somet

I blinked awake, sunlight streaming through the gauzy hotel curtains. The bed beside me was empty, but still warm from Elias's body. Good. I didn't do morning-after small talk.I chucked some clothes on, before sitting down with a coffee.Grabbing my laptop, I dialled up dear old dad. His face filled the screen, all sharp angles and devilish charm."Luella, darling. To what do I owe the pleasure?" I rolled my eyes. "Can't a girl call her father without an ulterior motive?"He raised an eyebrow. "Not when that girl is you, my dear.""Fair enough," I conceded. "Just wanted to let you know I took care of that runaway demon. He won't be causing any more trouble."Dad's eyes lit up with pride. "Excellent work. I knew I could count on you. How did you dispatch him?"I was about to answer when a loud knock echoed through the room. "Hold that thought," I told Dad. Rookie mistake.I padded to the door, yanking it open to find Elias standing there, looking sheepish."Hey," he said, rubbing the

The espresso machine hissed and gurgled, punctuating the low hum of chatter in the dimly lit café. I sipped my third double shot, eyes fixed on the demon across the street. Azazel Thorne, the sly bastard, strolled along the neon-drenched strip of Eclipse City like he didn't have a care in the world.I snorted. If he only knew.My fingers twitched, itching to wrap around his throat. But no, I had to play this smart. Daddy dearest wanted this one taken care of quietly, and I'd be damned if I let my temper fuck up a job.A whiff of something delicious hit my nose – crisp pine and dark chocolate, with an underlying hint of danger. Vampire. My eyes narrowed as I scanned the room, landing on a tall, devastatingly handsome creature leaning against the far wall. His gaze was fixed on Azazel too."Well, shit," I muttered. "Looks like I've got competition."The vampire's eyes suddenly locked with mine, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. I raised an eyebrow, refusing to look away. Two

Azazel slumped against the steering wheel, unconscious. I grabbed the wheel, guiding the still-moving car to a smooth stop. My heart raced, adrenaline coursing through my veins. This was the part of the job I lived for.I reached for Azazel's limp arm, ready to pyroport us both to my safehouse. But as I began to focus my energy, a cool hand gripped my shoulder."Fuck," I hissed, realizing Sebastian had followed me. Before I could shake him off, the world blurred around us.We crashed onto the cold concrete floor of my basement, a tangle of limbs and curses. Sebastian's body pressed against mine, his unnecessary breath hot on my neck."Get. Off. Me," I growled, shoving him away. He rolled to his feet with infuriating grace, straightening his jacket. "My apologies," he said, not sounding sorry at all. "I couldn't resist tagging along."I glared at him, torn between admiration for his audacity and fury at his interference. I froze. How the hell did he know my name?I growled, my eyes flashing with hellfire. "How the hell do you know who I am?"Sebastian's lips curled into a smirk, revealing the tips of his fangs. "Oh, sweetheart. Everyone knows the name of Lucifer's heir and who she is."My hand shot out, gripping his throat. The silver blade in my other hand pressed against his jugular. "Bullshit," I hissed. "I've kept a low profile."He didn't even flinch, just raised an eyebrow. "Have you now? The assassin princess, leaving a trail of dead demons in her wake? You're not exactly subtle, darling.""Who sent you?" I demanded, tightening my grip.Sebastian's eyes danced with amusement. "No one sent me. I came of my own accord. You're... intriguing."I snorted. "Right. And I'm the Virgin Mary.""Your reputation precedes you," he purred, somehow managing to sound seductive even with a blade at his throat. Heat pooled low in my belly at his words. Part of me wanted to sass back, to push his buttons further. But a larger part just wanted him inside me already."Less threats, more action," I growled. Sebastian's hand tangled in my hair, yanking my head back. "As you wish, princess."His hips rocked forward, teasing me with the promise of what was to come. I bit back a whimper, not wanting to give him the satisfaction. But as he slowly pushed inside me, stretching and filling me completely, I couldn't hold back my moan of pleasure. Fuck, he felt amazing."That's it," Sebastian murmured against my neck. "Let me hear you, Luella."I clenched around him in response, relishing his sharp intake of breath. Two could play this game.Sebastian's thrusts were maddeningly slow, each one deliberate and precise. He angled his hips just right, hitting that spot inside me that made my toes curl and stars explode behind my eyes."Fuck," I gasped, my fingers clawing at the sheets. "Sebastian, please..."

I couldn't take it anymore. The tension between us was electric, crackling in the air like hellfire. I stood up abruptly, my hands still bound behind my back, and locked eyes with Sebastian."Maybe," I said, my voice husky with desire, "just maybe, I want you to punish me."Sebastian's eyes darkened, a predatory grin spreading across his face. "Is that so?" he purred, circling me slowly. "And what makes you think you deserve my attention, little demon?"I lifted my chin defiantly. "Because I'm the best damn thing that's ever happened to you, vampire."He chuckled, low and dangerous. "Such arrogance. I think we need to work on that."My heart raced as he approached, his fingers trailing along my collarbone. I wanted to touch him, to pull him close, but the bindings held firm. Frustration and arousal warred within me."What are you waiting for?" I taunted, my voice barely above a whisper. "Scared you can't handle me?"Sebastian's hand shot out, gripping my throat gently but firmly. "Oh

I couldn't help the low groan that escaped my lips as Sebastian's teeth grazed my collarbone. His touch was maddening - just enough to set every nerve ending on fire, but not nearly enough to satisfy."Fuck, Sebastian," I breathed. "Stop teasing and just-"His hand clamped over my mouth, cutting off my words. "What did I say about behaving?" he whispered, his voice dark with promise. "Keep it up, and I'll have to gag you next."A jolt of pleasure shot straight through me at his words. I couldn't resist the urge to push back, to see how far I could take this. I nipped at his palm, then smirked against his skin."Is that a threat or a promise, Nightshade?" I challenged, my voice muffled but defiant.I felt him stiffen behind me, his breath catching. For a moment, I wondered if I'd pushed too far. Then his grip tightened, and he spun me around to face him."You just can't help yourself, can you?" he growled, and I could hear the smile in his voice. "Always have to have the last word.""W

As we made our way outside, I explained the game to Sebastian. "It's simple," I said, my voice dripping with excitement. "Dad and I take turns creating massive objects, then we obliterate them. Hellfire, grenades, whatever works. It's like the world's most badass sculpture garden, but with more explosions."Sebastian's eyes widened, a mix of awe and apprehension flickering across his face. "And... this is how you usually spend family time?"I laughed, the sound echoing through the cavernous halls of the castle. "Welcome to the family, babe. We don't do boring." As we stepped outside, the heat of the Underworld hit me like a familiar embrace. The air shimmered with sulfurous haze, and the distant roar of lava falls provided a fitting backdrop for our destructive game.Dad wasted no time, his hands moving in fluid motions as he conjured a mountain of hellfire grenades and other explosive delights. The pile glowed an ominous red, crackling with barely contained energy."Show off," I mut

I rolled my eyes, but couldn't help smiling. "Yeah, yeah. Just don't tell him about the time I accidentally turned all the hellhounds into puppies."Dad's eyes glinted mischievously. "Now that's a story worth telling..." I quickly cut in before Dad could embarrass me further. "Actually, you know what? Let's skip the hellhound incident. Sebastian, want to hear about something way more fun?"Sebastian leaned forward, his dark eyes glimmering with curiosity. "Always.""Well, one of my favorite pastimes when I started working with Dad was hellfire darts." I grinned, remembering the countless hours we'd spent honing our skills.Sebastian's brow furrowed. "Hellfire... darts?"Before I could explain, Dad snapped his fingers. A shimmering dartboard materialized on the far wall, crackling with infernal energy. In his other hand, three sets of darts appeared, their tips glowing white-hot."No time like the present for a demonstration," Dad said, tossing a set to me and another to Sebastian.I

Sebastian leaned forward, his dark eyes glinting with curiosity. "So what other mischief has our princess been up to over the centuries?"Dad's grin widened, and I knew I was in for it. "Oh, where to begin? There was the time she accidentally unleashed a plague of locusts in Egypt..."I groaned, burying my face in my hands. "Dad, come on..."But he was already off and running. "Picture this: Little Lu, barely a century old, decides she wants to impress her old man by conjuring up some insects. Harmless enough, right? Except she overshot it. By about a billion locusts."Sebastian's eyebrows shot up. "You're kidding."I peeked through my fingers. "In my defense, I was aiming for butterflies. How was I supposed to know locusts were easier to summon in bulk?"Dad chuckled. "The Egyptians weren't too pleased, I'll tell you that. Took weeks to clean up that mess."I couldn't help but smirk. "Hey, at least I gave them something to write about. You're welcome."Sebastian shook his head, a mi

As I watched Sebastian process this information, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of... something. Pride? Excitement? Maybe a bit of both. Here he was, my vampire boyfriend, diving headfirst into the intricacies of Hell like it was the most natural thing in the world.I leaned in close, my lips brushing his ear. "Don't worry, babe," I whispered. "I'll keep you safe."Sebastian's dark eyes met mine, a mix of curiosity and apprehension swirling in their depths. "And what about tomorrow?" he asked, his voice low and smooth. "The troublemakers you'll be sentencing?"I couldn't help but smirk. "Oh, those are the fun ones," I said, leaning back in my chair. The velvet cushion was soft against my skin, a stark contrast to the hard justice we'd be doling out tomorrow. "They're usually demons who've stepped out of line. Either from the outer regions or just inside the Styx."I took a sip of my wine, savoring the rich, smoky flavor. "We drag their sorry asses before us and decide their fate ba
