Christian smiles at Riley and stares at her provokingly. She frowns. She wants to know what he did that led her father to forgive him so easily. After all, Her father might get angry easily but to come out of it was almost impossible for him. But yesterday he returned two hours later and then said she should give her husband a chance. After all, he protected her from the accident before and never did anything wrong other than one lie. He also told her how foolish men in love are. How foolish he was.

What she couldn't understand was why her father's behavior had changed so suddenly to the extent that he said, 'I should give him a chance to prove his love for me.'
