"Mr. Adriaone, I know this is our mistake, but you have to try to understand us. We have been working together for so long," Lucas said, his voice extremely furious.

Alice wasn't surprised to hear his cold voice. Even though it was his company's mistake, he never said sorry to anyone.

'What are you doing?' she looked at him with confused eyes. Lucas didn't say anything; he just blinked his eyes, gesturing for her to wait. Alice frowned, and sighed, but sat quietly. Lucas was still holding her wrist and didn't let go. He kept talking on the video call.
