Chapter 1

Isabel couldn't believe what she just heard. She was seated before the doctor who had just announced her test result. How can she get pregnant for Nathaniel Dave at a time when she was planning on signing his divorce papers. 

Afterall, that was what he ever wanted. Isabel had struggled for Nathaniel Dave's Love for six years but it wasn't forthcoming. She had loved Nathaniel even before her parents persuaded her to disguise as Ceclia on her wedding way. 

She knew that even after signing the divorce papers, she would never stopped loving Nathaniel Dave. It was like a stigma, the more she thinks she could do without him, the more she realizes that his love in her was growing deeper. 

She stood before the doctor weakly, this wasn't what she expected, she just wanted to be fine and invite Nathaniel Dave home to tell him that she was ready to divorce him. 

"Thanks." That was the only word that she uttered, she walked out to where her car was parked and drove home. 

Should she be happy or sad? The first time she had s-x with Nathaniel Dave was six years ago at a night of their wedding. Nathaniel pulled out at a time when he was about to cum for reasons best known to him. Perharps, he wasn't ready to have a child, then. 

When Nathaniel found out the following day that the woman he married and made love with was not the woman she loved, he was so angry that he left home. In those six years, Nathaniel Dave had only come home six times; once a year to inspect the house. He had never seen a reason to come home to see Isabel. 

He hated her with passion and didn't even hide it. The only conversation that always occur between them was about divorce, Nathaniel is found of texting Isabel to accept his divorce papers but how could she? She loved him so much and been his wife had always been her dream. 

Isabel who had gotten used to loneliness laid on the sofa. She rubbed her flat belly, no one would notice she was pregnant. She thought if it was better to divorce Nathaniel and go ahead to raise the child alone. 

She didn't know what Nathaniel Dave's reaction would be when she finds out that she was pregnant. If he likes it, he might probably begin to gain his favor, but if he decides to abort it, he definitely has the power to no matter how she tries to fight it. 

Nathaniel Dave is by far the most popular and wealthiest business mogul in the country, he has both political and international recognition. He was super wealthy and Isabel felt lucky being his wife. 

Maybe she wasn't lucky after all, she has never seen a reason to smile ever since she had got married to Nathaniel Dave. 

The door barged open all of a sudden, Isabel wasn't expecting such and it made her heart skipped, she stood upright at once and in fright looked towards the door to see who it was that barged in unannounced. 

She became elated on seeing her husband, since she only gets to see him once a year, she has a reason to be happy. But her face turned sour on realizing what it use to be like anytime he comes home. 

He always make that day cruel for Isabel, Isabel thought that that day won't be any difference. 

Isabel watched Nathaniel Dave walked in elegantly but his face was cold, his slender legs moved beautifully as if a model was walking, his stature was a tall and glamorous one. How can a man be this handsome, yet despise her that much? 

"You are welcome."Isabel said lightly, Nathaniel Dave didn't come at the end of the year when he was found of coming, Isabel didn't want to think about that, maybe he decided to come earlier this year. 

Nathaniel Dave shot her a look of disdain and walked away from her without saying a word, Isabel trailed him with her eyes and felt bad for how he looked at her like she was a shit. 

"When will you get tired of living in my villa?" Nathaniel Dave said all of a sudden. 

He sat, crossed his legs and was facing Isabel. 

"I've told in all the times that I've come here, I'll never love you no matter how you tried. You are a deceptive woman, didn't you make Cecilia loose her legs just so you can marry me?  Bad for you, despite the fact that she lost her legs, I still loved her." Nathaniel said. 

Isabel bite her lower lips in pain and looked faintly at him, "I'm ready to sign the divorce papers." 

Those words came as a shock to Nathaniel Dave, he wasn't expecting the obstinate woman standing before him to suddenly decide to accept to divorce him, a smirk formed on his lips and he put a call through at once. 

"Bring the divorce papers." He said to the phone and hung up. 

Few minutes later, a man who seems to be in his early fifties and was having a bald hair walks in, "Here is it, sir." He bowed lightly and walked away. 

"Have it and sign it." Nathaniel was happy, he couldn't wait to get married to her sister. Whatever made Isabel decide to divorce him was none of his problem, as long as she signed the divorce papers, he would be happy. 

Sadly, Isabel received the divorce papers and said, "Before I sign this, I'd like to make a request?" 

"Be quick about the request." Nathaniel Dave was impatient. 

"If you found out that I was pregnant, would you be happy or angry?" Isabel wants to know what his reactions would be to the pregnancy before signing the divorce papers. 

She wasn't ready to raise her child alone, she wants her child to grow up under the care of his father. She wouldn't want her child to grow up and start asking about his father. 

Nathaniel Dave wondered why she was asking such questions, was she crazy? Why was she thinking of pregnancy? He came home by December of the previous year and only spent a night at home.He wasn't sure if he slept with her, he only knew he was drunk and tipsy. 

This time was Januray of the following year. Even if he had mistakenly had s-x with her, wasn't she supposed to take a pill? 

"Are you pregnant?" Nathaniel Dave asked after a moment of silence. 

"Answer my question, please before I sign the divorce papers." Isabel was not ready to answer him until he knows how he would react. 

Nathaniel stood at once and moved very close to her, "You shameless woman, how can you get pregnant for me?" 

Isabel can't remember telling him she was pregnant for him, she only asked a question. 

Nathaniel held her chin tight in such a way that hurts Isabel, "Did you really get pregnant for me?" 

Isabel realized that Nathaniel won't like the idea of her getting pregnant, she already saw it in his reaction. 

"I'm not pregnant." Isabel lied and set the divorce papers on the table ready to sign it. As long as she remains a wife of Mr Nathaniel Dave, he would definitely abort her pregnancy. She wasn't ready to experience such disheartening experience. She beleives her baby would give her hope. 

Nathaniel thought that Isabel could be lying, was that why she decided to accept his divorce papers? Did she perhaps have another man that would welcome her after he had divorced her. 

Was he going to watch another man raise the bastard child inside of her, what if the child was his? 

He quickly snatched the divorce papers and tore it. 

"I'm taking you for pregnancy test." Nathaniel Dave held her by her wrist and began to drag her out. 

"I'm not pregnant, I was only asking a question." Isabel struggled not to follow him to the hospital but Nathaniel Dave was stronger than her.
