Chapter 96

Antony had spent that night on the streets. The first place the police would look for him would be his old house, but he needed to go back there if he wanted to stay out of prison. Only after a few hours, standing in front of the house, hidden behind a wall, did he muster the courage to move forward?

The street was deserted; it was the early hours of the morning, and there were still a few hours left until daylight. He advanced quickly, taking the key out of his pocket and opening the door. When he turned on the light, a cry of terror was heard. Andreas jumped off the couch, wide-eyed, feeling his heart beating so frantically in his chest that it seemed like he would die right there. Without saying a word, Antony ran towards him, glaring at him.

"It's me, Andreas," he said, turning his neck towards the window, but the street remained deserted.

He barely noticed his half-brother standing in front of him, still looking scared, and walking towards him, hugged him unexpectedly.
