Damien was shocked by how Cedric addressed Faye. He froze.

He was stunned to learn that this woman, who hardly looked old enough to be a college graduate, was Cedric's legendary wife.

He thought it was rather interesting.

"You are as humorous as always, Mr. Cedric. I was merely chasing down a thief and happened upon this lady. I mistook her for the thief who was also dressed in black."

Damien had extremely beautiful and feminine features. When he smiled, his eyes were so alluring that they could draw souls away.

Faye turned and refused to look at him.

Cedric scoffed.

"Oh? A thief? Why would a thief be here in the Reed family's household?"

"You might not believe me, Mr. Cedric, but I did see someone trying to sneak into the Reed family's garden for herbs. I pursued that person. The thief came this way because their path was blocked by the electric fences."

He then turned to look at Cedric's black shirt and smirked devilishly.

"Have you seen the thief, Mr. Cedric?"
