Faye scanned him, but instead of accepting his bouquet, she smiled. "What are you getting at today? I'm busy!"

Faye knew what kind of a person Nick had been since they were in high school, and if he was suddenly apologizing to her, something must have been wrong.

Nick smiled. "I've recognized my mistakes, Faye. I came here to apologize sincerely to you."

"You have flowers, so it looks more like you are here for trouble." Her expression darkened. "After all, I'm married."

Nick bit his lip and shoved the bouquet into his companion's hands. "I thought all girls love flowers. I suppose a woman like you isn't like ordinary girls. Good thing that I prepared another gift."

He then turned to grab the briefcase from behind him and opened it to retrieve a smaller box before handing it to Faye. "Faye, I sincerely apologize for my wrongdoings. I was arrogant and blind, thinking that I could step all over others. I won't make that mistake again. Thank you for showing me what I need to improve
