The question pierced the air like a bolt out of the blue. Color drained from Sarah's complexion.

It had been years since Laurence had broached the subject. He must have really liked "her" back then because his eyes would twinkle with joy whenever he talked to her. "He looked mean and had a scar on his face. I think he was in his thirties,” she muttered. She tried her best to keep her head as she described the man from the news article she had seen. She was careful with her description, ensuring she left no room for Laurence to doubt her.
