Chapter 444 Confusion

Zoey really didn't want to argue with Laurence because dealing with a grumpy man was harder than she thought. That's why she did her best to force out a smile, even though it was just an act.

"Are you finished talking about work?" asked Laurence. Zoey nodded and said yes. Laurence was still worried, or perhaps he was just biased against her mentor. "Do you need to hire a lawyer to go through the agreement?" he asked.

Fear crept into Zoey's mind; she didn't want him to meddle in her work. She shook her head and said, "Nope. We've already had a lawyer go through the agreement."
