Chapter 257 Forcing Questions

In the past, whenever the topic was brought up, whether it was a serious question or a lighthearted one, Zoey would either be tight-lipped or she would straight-up lie. She'd never said those words to Laurence before.

She'd even made a vow to herself that she would hide her true feelings and never utter those words out loud to him.

After all, some words, if not said at the right time, would probably have no chance of being said ever again in the future.

When the right time passed, the words would really be gone too.

Her face was damp from all her tears. She had no idea why she was crying, though, and tears kept silently dripping down her face regardless.

She didn’t care whether Laurence took it seriously or shrugged it off, as she'd decided that she could now die without any regrets.

While she'd done it under the most unflattering conditions, it was still a relief to think that she'd finally confessed the feelings that she had long suppressed since her youth.
