I was already in the gonsales beta when I decided to call Aurora. The first attempt was unsuccessful. I tried again, and as I walked back and forth in my father’s office, someone answered the call.

“Aurora, we need to talk”, I slurred the words and got straight to the point.

“I’m sorry, Luke,” I huffed in disappointment. “it’s not Aurora, and apparently she doesn’t want to talk to you.

“Hi Naldo”, I said without any enthusiasm

“So excited to talk to your old friend,” he complained good-naturedly. “by the way, you didn’t call me during those months you were missing.”

“I’m sorry”, I ran my hand over my temple, “I won’t apologize, it was a mistake”.

“I like your sincerity,” he laughed. “What’s this about being the new president of beta gonsales?”

“They decided for me,” I got nervous. “I was forced to accept the position, so I didn’t tell Aurora anything.”
