Chapter 11 Leaving Completely

The gorgeous decoration of the Fu family seemed particularly indifferent at this moment. The luxurious chandelier emitted a soft light, but it could not illuminate the haze in her heart.

Mother Fu stood at the top of the stairs, holding the carved handrail with her hands , her eyes filled with unquestionable authority.

She looked at Tong Xiaoge, with a hint of displeasure in her voice , "Xiaoge, where are you going? Are you really planning to leave the Fu family?"

Tong Xiaoge stopped and turned to face Fu's mother with a firm look in her eyes, "Yes, I plan to leave. I can't feel any warmth of home here."

Mother Fu frowned, she slowly walked down the stairs and stood in front of Tong Xiaoge.

"Xiao Ge, you are just speaking in anger. You must understand that as the daughter-in-law of the Fu family, you have unshirkable responsibilities and obligations. You can't make such an impulsive decision just because of a momentary unhappiness."

Tong Xiaoge shook her head, her voice revealing deep helplessness and exhaustion, "Mom, I've tried my best. For so many years, I have tried to integrate into this family, but no matter how hard I try, there are always people who are unwilling to accept me, and there are always people who point fingers behind my back. What I need is not only responsibility and obligation, I also need respect and understanding."

Mother Fu's face was shaken for a moment, but she quickly regained her seriousness, "Xiao Ge, have you been provoked by something? Is it because of what Lin Yan said? Don't forget, if you leave the Fu family, you will have nothing."

Tong Xiaoge took a deep breath, her eyes firm, "I would rather have nothing than lose myself here. Mom, thank you for taking care of me over the years, but I have to consider my own happiness."

Mother Fu's eyes flashed with surprise and reluctance. She didn't expect Tong Xiaoge to be so determined. She said coldly , "Xiaoge, if you leave now, don't ever come back."

Tong Xiaoge nodded. Although she felt mixed emotions, she felt more relieved, "I understand."

Tong Xiaoge gently lifted her luggage and walked through the hall of the Fu family with firm steps towards the front door. She felt complicated, but determined, and each step seemed extremely heavy. Behind the door, the luxury and loneliness of the Fu family could no longer stop her.

Walking out of the door, the cold air hit her in the face, she took a deep breath, as if she could spit out all the suppressed emotions in the cold wind. Tong Xiaoge did not look back, because she knew that looking back would only make her more hesitant and painful.

At the same time, Lin Yan stood by the window on the second floor, peeking at the scene through the exquisite curtains.

Watching Tong Xiaoge's lonely figure disappearing around the corner of the street, she couldn't help but raise a smug smile at the corner of her mouth.

Lin Yan felt an indescribable satisfaction - she thought she had finally won this war without the smoke of gunpowder.

"Finally left,"

Lin Yan talked to herself, her tone full of contempt and relief. She turned and walked towards her room with brisk steps, as if a heavy burden had been lifted off her shoulders.

In her room, Lin Yan sat in front of the dressing table, adjusting her hair in front of the mirror.

Her face was filled with an unconcealable joy, and her eyes were gleaming with calculated excitement. She whispered to herself in the mirror, "Now, the Fu family can finally have some peace and quiet."

Outside the window, the night deepened and her room was filled with soft light, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

Lin Yan's expression appeared unusually bright in the mirror, and she seemed to be enjoying this hard-earned victory.

Suddenly, her cell phone rang. She picked up the phone and saw that it was her mother calling.

After answering the phone, Lin Yan's tone suddenly became soft, "Mom, it's me. Well, everything is resolved."

On the other end of the phone, her mother's voice was full of concern, "Is everything going well? Did Xiaoge do anything extreme?"

Lin Yan chuckled and answered with satisfaction, "She's gone, Mom. I don't think she will come back. Now, the Fu family will be more peaceful."

It was late at night, and Fu Chen hurried back home. His steps were hurried, and his face was full of fatigue and anxiety from the day. He took off his coat, threw it on the coat rack at the end of the corridor, and walked into the empty room. The lights were dim, and the quietness in the hall was in sharp contrast to the hustle and bustle he had experienced during the day.

Walking into the bedroom, he instinctively sensed that something was wrong. Every corner of the room was filled with an indescribable coldness. Tong Xiaoge's personal belongings were gone, and even the skin care products that usually exuded her fragrance were nowhere to be found.

His brows were furrowed, and he had a bad feeling in his heart. He turned and walked to Wang Ma's room and knocked on the door. The door slowly opened, and Wang Ma's face was full of worry. When she saw Fu Chen, her expression became even more nervous.

"Auntie Wang, where is Xiaoge?" Fu Chen's voice was low, revealing a hint of anxiety that was difficult to conceal.

Mother Wang took a deep breath, her expression complicated. She hesitated for a moment before speaking, "Master, Miss Xiaoge...she has left the Fu family."

"Leave? Why?" Fu Chen's voice was filled with disbelief, and his heart suddenly tightened.

Mother Wang sighed and slowly told the story of everything that had happened, including Lin Yan's provocation and Xiaoge 's despair.

"Ms. Xiaoge said that she didn't want to stay in a place that made her feel cold and alienated."

Fu Chen listened quietly, his expression gradually hardening. His fists were clenched, his fingertips turned white, and his heart was filled with indescribable anger and guilt.

"Did she say where she was going?"

"No, the young lady didn't say anything." Aunt Wang shook her head, her voice full of apology, "She just took her luggage and left. It seems that she has decided not to come back."

Fu Chen stood at the door of Wang Ma's room, his eyes deep and his mind full of thoughts.

He recalled everything about his time with Xiaoge, from the tenderness when they first met to their gradual estrangement, every detail was as clear as if cut by a knife.

Fu Chen stood quietly in front of Wang Ma's door, his face as cold as ice. The light in the room was dim, and it fell on his cold face, making his expression even more indifferent.

Aunt Wang looked at him, her heart filled with worry. "Master, you need to calm down. Miss Xiaoge has suffered a lot of grievances over the years..."

Fu Chen interrupted her, his voice low, and one could almost hear him trying to suppress his emotions, "That's enough, Aunt Wang. I don't want to hear this."

Mother Wang kept her mouth shut, but her eyes revealed her worry about the family's declining fortunes.

She was well-informed and knew that the conflicts within the Fu family had reached a point where they were difficult to reconcile.

He turned slowly and walked heavily back to his room.

He looked at the empty bed, his heart aching. The moonlight from the window shone through, casting silver rays on the cold sheets, adding a bit of chill.

Fu Chen knew that all these changes came too late.

He sat silently beside the bed, playing with a hairpin that Xiaoge had left in the drawer, his fingertips gently stroking the cold metal.
