Diana smiled very broadly as she came out of the accessories store.
'Michael would absolutely love it!' thought Diana as she looked at the small package in her hand. Today was their third anniversary, so Diana was thinking about buying him a present.
Michael and Diana had been in a relationship since high school. Their dream was to get married after graduating from school, but unfortunately this was not approved by Michael's family because Diana was not from a wealthy one.
They also plan to set Michael up with the daughter of the owner of the Ferguson Company, whose owner is a friend of Michael's parents. So when they graduated, Diana and Michael decided to run away to the big city and live together.
'Well, Michael sure takes very good care of me, even though our lives are far from luxurious. He's my man, after all!' Diana reflects as she grins wildly before frowning.
Lately, their relationship seems to be strained. Michael rarely spoke to her. He also always came home late. When asked what the reason was, Michael just smiled and said he was a bit tired or that his boss had given him a lot of work, so he wanted to rest and promised to talk it over with Diana after having a good sleep, which never happened.
Diana felt so sad at the memory; she wasn't even sure that Michael remembered their third anniversary today.
'Since when did things become like this?' Diana sighed, but decided to ignore her feelings.
.
Not long after, Diana arrived at the door of her apartment. She was feeling a bit nervous and excited at the same time.
She couldn't wait to see Michael's reaction when he saw his gift!
Taking a deep breath, Diana slowly opened her apartment door.
Darkness.
That was Diana's first impression when she entered the apartment.
As Diana turned on the light, she noticed Michael's shoes on the floor.
'Ah, Michael is already home! how unusual. Does he remember our anniversary? Is he trying to give me some surprises?' Diana thought with a smile.
But then, it turned into a frown when she saw someone's shoe next to Michael's.
'Women's shoes? Are we having guests? I don't think Michael has any close female friends,' Diana mused.
As she walked into the living room, Diana could not find Michael.
'That's strange; where is he?’ she thought, feeling uneasy all of a sudden.
When Diana walked towards her room with Michael, she heard the bed creak and a faint voice inside it.
"Ah, yes, there, faster!"
Diana, who heard this, immediately opened the door to her room without thinking. The world seemed to stop spinning the moment she encountered the sight in front of her. She couldn't believe what she was seeing!
In their room, Michael is having sex with a woman. Michael's back was turned toward her, so he is unaware of her presence.
"Ah, there, Michael!" The woman hissed when Michael went deeper.
"Oh God, you're so tight!" growled Michael as he went faster, making her moan louder.
Diana's heart ached when she saw that scene. She didn't think that Michael would cheat on her, let alone have sex in their bed!
She really wanted to approach Michael and keep him away from her. But what can Diana do except watch them while holding back her tears? The activity continued until Michael finally reached his climax.
"You're so beautiful; I love you so much," Michael said to the woman, before kissing her lips.
Enough! Diana couldn't take it anymore! While wiping away her tears roughly, Diana slowly walked out of the room.
But unfortunately, it didn't go smoothly because Diana accidentally hit the bedside table and knocked the vase off of it. The sound of breaking things filled the room and immediately caught the attention of the two people on the bed. Michael, who looked surprised to see Diana, immediately rushed out of bed and walked toward her.
"Diana, it's not what you think! I can explain it," Michael said while grabbing her hand, which Diana immediately shook off violently.
"Don't touch me. Everything is clear enough for me," Diana said while crumpling the package that was supposed to be a gift for Michael.
"No Diana! You misunderstand!" Michael spoke evasively before continuing. "Please allow me to explain. I—" Diana interrupted him before he could finish.
"Michael, do you still love me?" Diana asked, and before Michael could answer, Diana cut him off.
"Do you know how much I've been worried about you lately? You changed, Michael! You are not my Michael. My Michael was always kind and loyal to me! He would never betray me like this!"
Diana stopped and took a deep breath before continuing with a trembling voice, "Even I'm sure you don't remember that today is our anniversary, right? We always surprised each other and spent time together on our anniversary back then.
But now? Well, you really gave me a very big surprise this time, Michael. Good job, and thank you very much for the past 3 years, hahaha,"
Diana's painful laugh was heard at the end of the sentence as she stared into the eyes of the man who broke her.
"Please don't say that, Diana. It hurts so much; I'm sorry, Diana. I still love you!" Michael sobbed as he took Diana's hand in his, but Diana quickly brushed it away.
"Let's just end our relationship, Michael. Just go with that woman." Diana said as she walked out of the room that used to belong to the two of them.
"No Diana! I don't want to break up! It is my fault! Please give me another chance," Michael said as he grabbed Diana's arm and held her tightly.
"Get away from me, Michael! I really hate you! I shouldn't have believed your sweet words that asked me to live with you and damned what the world thought of us!" Diana shouted as she rebelled.
"No! I won't let you go! Never, as long as it makes you stay here!"
PLAK!
The sound of a loud slap filled the room. Diana had just slapped Michael on the cheek, which she had never done before. But now she doesn't care about that anymore.
She was so heartbroken that she dared to hurt him.
"That's enough, Michael; let's just end this. From now on, be happy without me," Diana said as she ran out of the house.
The cold night breeze greeted Diana, but she didn't care. She just wanted to run and forget everything about the man she had been living with for three years.
As she continued to run, a faint voice calling her was heard from afar. It was Michael's voice!
Diana, who heard that, immediately quickened her steps without looking back. 'Now we're over. Goodbye, my love,' Diana thought frantically as her vision blurred.
Suddenly, there was a bright light in front of her. But before she knew what it was, everything was already too late.
BRAK!!!
"NO!!!"
"DIANA!" Michael was jolted awake from his sleep, drenched in a cold sweat. He just had a nightmare. His hands gripped the covers tightly, trying to steady himself. Minutes passed, but he did not calm down. In fact, it's only gotten worse since now, his breathing started to become irregular. With trembling hands, Michael tried to reach for the small bottle that read "Panic" on the nightstand beside his bed. After taking the medicine, he closes his eyes as he tries to take a deep breath. inhale. exhale. inhale. exhale. inhale. exhale. Michael repeated the breathing exercise until he calmed down. After his breathing calmed down, Michael lay back down on his bed slowly. Tears slowly rolled down his cheeks as he recalled his nightmare. "It's already been 10 years since you were left, but why can't I forget you?" Michael asked himself, a small sob escaping his lips. Yes, it's already been 10 years since Diana's death, and since then, Michael has always lived in regret. After being
It's already been an hour since Michael stood in front of the glass cabinet. He couldn't stop his tears from falling as he looked at the photo in the cupboard. It was a picture of a young woman, smiling happily while hugging a teddy bear. With shaky hands, he rubbed the glass cabinet gently and spoke in a soft voice. "Diana, I'm back." Silence! It was the only thing that greeted him, leaving Michael unable to do anything but sigh heavily. 'Of course, what answer could I expect from a deceased person other than silence?' Michael thought as he chuckled, laughing at his foolishness. Taking a deep breath, he slowly opened the glass cabinet. Michael carefully put the rose bouquet that he had been holding next to the photo. He smiled when he was done. A memory flashed in his head. "Hey Michael, look at that couple! Isn't that guy romantic? He gave a bouquet of roses to his girlfriend!" Diana said as she rested her head on Michael's shoulder. "Haish! That's impractical! Instead
Michael lay quietly in his hospital bed, listening to his butler and doctor talk. He had been conscious all along but chose to close his eyes because he didn't want to hear the long lecture from the two of them. "Why hasn't he woken up, doctor?" asked Payton while looking at his master, who was lying weakly on the hospital bed. "That's strange; he should have woken up by now. Let's just wait a little longer." Another voice that he was sure was his doctor's, Alex San Genis, said in a calming tone. "He won't go back to that state, right? What should we do if that happens, doctor? Do we need a new treatment, bla bla bla" Payton asked again, and this time he gave a barrage of questions. 'Aish, old man, you're worrying too much! Instead of thinking about unimportant things, why don't you just try to find a mate? You're old, you know,' Michael thought, feeling annoyed at Payton's attitude, which he considered excessive. "Hmm... for now, I don't think he will be back in that state. Bu
Emma ran quickly as soon as she was out of the room. "Oh no, I'm so dead! I'm so dead! Alex will surely kill me for going out without his permission. Oh, please don't arrive yet!" Emma thought frantically. She was so panicked that she accidentally bumped into some of the nurses passing by and could only mutter "sorry." Alex was already sitting in one of the lounge chairs when she arrived. From his face, you can tell that he doesn't look so happy. "Oh no, I'm completely screwed!" she thought frantically, but still chose to approach him. Alex, who was aware of Emma's presence, immediately made eye contact with her. "Where have you been? I thought I already told you to wait for me in this lounge. Don't you know how worried I was?" Alex spoke in a harsh tone as he glared at her. "I'm sorry, it's just that I needed to go to the bathroom so badly, I didn't expect to go this long," lied Emma while lowering her head, not daring to look at Alex. Today was the day that Michael was finally discharged from the hospital. Actually, he was able to go home yesterday, but Payton insisted that he should be hospitalized for at least one more day to make sure that everything is fine. "Sir, we've already arrived." Payton said as he opened the car door for him. "Thanks, Payton," he replied, smiling at Payton. When Michael opened the door to his mansion, he saw that the servants had gathered to greet him. "Welcome home, master," they said in unison. Michael only replied to them with a smile and occasional thanks. "Ah, it feels good to be home," he thought. But then, as he was about to walk to his room, the sound of a wheelchair squeaking was heard, along with a sound he had started to forget. "Michael!" calls Gwen.
