"Archaeology? Over food? Out of nowhere?" Colby blurted out, his voice full of disbelief.

Aiden bit his lip, trying not to laugh. He liked what Tristan had just done. It was a clever way to stop the group from staying longer because he understood his friends. In class, they’d know they were in class. But at a restaurant, where they were meant to eat? Nah! There was no way they’d stay seated for long.

Kai, who was quiet and observant, noticed Aiden’s reaction and smirked to himself.

"Why are they so good together? They're a perfect match" he said to himself, leaning back in his seat, holding back his laughter.

Tristan ignored Colby as he leaned forward and began explaining the basics of archaeology with his usual calm and captivating demeanor. He made it sound so easy that each of them could understand. The group, though initially baffled, couldn’t help but pay attention as Tristan dove into a lesson that seemed oddly out of place but so natural for him—as if he were in a classroom.

Colby leaned back in his chair, staring at the table in stunned silence. The question that had been gnawing at him for days finally slipped out. "Troy, you and Eric..." He trailed off, glancing up hesitantly. "You’re dating, aren’t you?" The chatter around the table abruptly ceased. Everyone froze, their eyes fixed on Troy—everyone except Kai. Colby noticed this immediately and frowned. Kai didn’t even flinch or look surprised.Colby’s eyebrows shot up as he turned to him. "You knew, didn’t you?" he asked, his voice low and sharp. Kai shrugged, leaning back in his chair, clearly uninterested in getting involved. "Kai..." Colby pressed. "It’s not my business, okay?" Kai finally replied, his tone dismissive. Troy walked aimlessly through the quiet night, his head bowed as he tried to shake off the sting of Eric’s dad’s words. No matter how much he told himself not to care, the pain kept hitting him, sharp and relentless. It was bad enough that Colby opposed his relationship with Eric—now it seemed Eric’s dad wouldn’t support them either. Lost in thought, he didn’t notice the hurried footsteps behind him until a hand grabbed his arm, spinning him around. Before he could react, he was pulled into a tight embrace. "I’m sorry," Eric whispered, his voice filled with guilt. Troy blinked, then let himself melt into the hug. He sniffled quietly, his face pressing against Eric’s chest. The familiar scent of Eric’s cologne surrounded him, comforting in its warmth. "I’m so sorry," Eric said again, his arms tightening around Troy. "I didn’t know my dad would act like that. You shouldn’t have had to go through that." Eric pulled back slightly, running a hand through his hair as he glanced do

The first rays of sunlight filtered through Tristan's curtains, bathing the room in soft light. Under the sheets, their bodies pressed together in a lazy embrace. Aiden's head rested on Tristan's chest, their breaths in sync. "Awake or not?" Tristan whispered into Aiden’s ear, his voice a mix of teasing and affection. Aiden groaned, shifting slightly. "I'm not, I'm weak to move,” he muttered, his eyes still closed. "Don’t you want to go to school?" Tristan asked softly. Aiden opened one eye, the corner of his mouth twitching into a half-smile. "Maybe this is why it’s hard to date someone so intelligent." Tristan chuckled softly, his hand brushing over Aiden’s back. His amusement, however, vanished the moment he heard his name called from downstairs. It was his mother’s voice. "Oh no..." Tristan panicked, making Aiden raise a brow, his eyes still half-closed. "What?" Before Tristan could answer, another voice joined in—Aiden recognized it immediately. His dad. Aiden’s

Troy leapt out of bed, hurriedly grabbing his clothes and fumbling to put them on with shaky hands. Of all times, why did Aiden have to show up now, just when things were getting interesting? "You could’ve knocked," Eric muttered through clenched teeth, his voice low and frustrated as he reluctantly began dressing too. Aiden stood with his back to them, facing the doorframe, arms crossed. A loud scoff escaped his lips. "Knocked? Seriously?" he scoffed again, louder this time. "I’ve always walked in here whenever I wanted, and it’s never been an issue before. This is my place too." He started to turn toward them but stopped, adding pointedly, "Besides, how is this my fault? You’re the one who didn’t bother locking the door." Eric opened his mouth to protest, but Troy intervened, his voice calm yet firm. "Both of you, that’s enough." He shot Eric a warning look before turning back to Aiden. "And you can turn around now." "Oh my God! What are you guys doing?" Brittany exclaimed as she marched fully into the room, shock written all over her face. Tristan scrambled to his feet, hastily stepping away from Aiden, whose lips still tingled from the moment they had just shared. Aiden sat up on Tristan’s bed, hurriedly adjusting his disheveled clothes, trying not to look as flustered as he felt. By the time Brittany reached them, her expression was a storm of frustration. "Mom..." Tristan started, his voice unsure, but before he could say another word, Brittany grabbed his arm and began swatting his back with surprising force. Aiden and Tristan exchanged wide-eyed glances, both struggling to process what was happening."I told you not to fight with Aiden anymore!" Brittany scolded, punctuating her words with another swat. "When are you going to listen? He’s your younger brother, for heaven’s sake!" Tristan blinked in stunned silence, while Aiden barely suppressed a grin. She didn’t suspect a thing. Se

"I'm satisfied," he said, gathering the empty plates from the table. "I'll do the dishes," he added casually, avoiding Eric's gaze as he carried the plates to the small sink in the corner of the kitchen. Eric remained seated for a moment, his eyes following Troy as he rolled up his sleeves and began washing the plates. The gentle sound of running water and the soft clinking of dishes filled the quiet room. After a pause, Eric got up and walked over to Troy. Without saying a word, he wrapped his arms around Troy's waist from behind, resting his chin lightly on Troy's shoulder. Troy froze for a moment, his hands still under the water. "What are you doing?" he asked, glancing at Eric from the corner of his eye. "Hugging you," Eric said simply, his voice light but warm. "I can see that," Troy muttered, s

Aiden asked, his voice tinged with unease. Tristan looked up at him, his expression firm. "If that’s the case, I’ll have no choice but to go against her," he said quietly, placing his phone down. Just then, his phone buzzed. He picked it up to see his aunt's name flashing on the screen. Quickly, he swiped to answer. "Anything?" he asked, his voice tight with anticipation. When Tristan finally broke the kiss, his voice was raw with emotion. "I can’t do this anymore, Aiden... Let’s go back to how we used to be."Aiden stared at him, emotions swirling like a storm he could no longer contain. Without a word, he grabbed Tristan by the collar and kissed him again, this time with more intensity, more desperation. Minutes later, he abruptly pulled away, stepping back as his breath came in ragged gasps. His face shifted, the vulnerability vanishing as a cold, unreadable expression slipped into place. "So?" Tristan asked softly, his voice uncertain. "So?" Aiden chuckled, obviously annoyed. "Who the hell do you think you are, deciding when to leave and when to come back?" "I..." Tristan began, but his gaze dropped, and the words faltered on his tongue. "You don’t get to do this," Aiden snapped, his voice sharp and filled with hurt. Every day, Aiden tried to convince himself that everything was fine—at least on the outside. But deep down, he was struggling. He knew he was lying to himself. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t stop thinking about Tristan. It was frustrating because he had done everything he could to block Tristan out. But every time he walked into their home, the urge to confront him was there—to ask him to at least reconsider, to talk about… them. Yet, Aiden always held back. He didn’t know if it was pride, fear, or just pure exhaustion, but he never acted on it. Instead, he forced himself to stay busy and resist the temptation. That evening, distraction came in the form of basketball with his friends. The court was alive with energy as they ran and competed. The cool air didn’t bother them as the game kept them warm. Troy wasn’t around; he had gone to visit Eric. Supposedly, Eric had invited him over, and Troy had agreed, which gave the others plenty of reasons to tease him nonstop."You g

My mom might go crazy. This isn’t just about us anymore, Aiden. It’s bigger than that.""But…" Aiden began, his voice breaking, but Tristan stood up, the chair scraping loudly against the floor.
