"Oh my God! What are you guys doing?" Brittany exclaimed as she marched fully into the room, shock written all over her face.

Tristan scrambled to his feet, hastily stepping away from Aiden, whose lips still tingled from the moment they had just shared. Aiden sat up on Tristan’s bed, hurriedly adjusting his disheveled clothes, trying not to look as flustered as he felt.

By the time Brittany reached them, her expression was a storm of frustration.

"Mom..." Tristan started, his voice unsure, but before he could say another word, Brittany grabbed his arm and began swatting his back with surprising force.

Aiden and Tristan exchanged wide-eyed glances, both struggling to process what was happening.

"I told you not to fight with Aiden anymore!" Brittany scolded, punctuating her words with another swat. "When are you going to listen? He’s your younger brother, for heaven’s sake!"

Tristan blinked in stunned silence, while Aiden barely suppressed a grin. She didn’t suspect a thing. Se

Troy stretched softly as he and Eric finished their dinner. "Are you satisfied, or should I make something else?" Eric asked.Troy responded with a small smile as he stood up. "I'm satisfied," he said, gathering the empty plates from the table. "I'll do the dishes," he added casually, avoiding Eric's gaze as he carried the plates to the small sink in the corner of the kitchen. Eric remained seated for a moment, his eyes following Troy as he rolled up his sleeves and began washing the plates. The gentle sound of running water and the soft clinking of dishes filled the quiet room. After a pause, Eric got up and walked over to Troy. Without saying a word, he wrapped his arms around Troy's waist from behind, resting his chin lightly on Troy's shoulder. Troy froze for a moment, his hands still under the water. "What are you doing?" he asked, glancing at Eric from the corner of his eye. "Hugging you," Eric said simply, his voice light but warm. "I can see that," Troy muttered, s

  • Love In The Gray   Chapter 57: The truth they fear.

The whispers began early that morning, spreading like wildfire before Aiden and Tristan even set foot on campus. Brittany’s farewell message had been recorded and shared with the entire school, and by now, nearly everyone had heard the news. Some students were shocked, others didn't care, and a few even thought their sudden closeness made sense. But most were left confused—were they really brothers or just stepbrothers? And if so, why did they hate each other so much? Sam entered the classroom with Jefferson and Colby, their conversation already heating up. "I knew it," Sam declared smugly, his tone dripping with self-satisfaction as if he'd uncovered some great secret. "I always thought they were brothers." "Honestly, it explains a lot," Colby agreed as they took their seats. "They’re so close sometimes. I even thought they were dating at one point, but this clears things up." "Does it, though?" Jefferson frowned, leaning forward on his desk. "What do you mean?" Colby ask

The classroom was noisy with students chatting, their voices low but clear enough for Tristan to catch fragments of their conversation. Most of it revolved around him and Aiden. Faustino slid into the seat beside him, leaning closer. "Tristan... is it true? What everyone’s saying about you and Aiden?" he asked, his voice filled, with curiosity. Tristan didn’t reply. His eyes were fixed on the open book in front of him, though he hadn’t processed a single word. He flipped a page mechanically, pretending to read while the whispers around him grew louder with every passing second, drowning out the words on the page. "I knew they hated each other before, but this sudden closeness? Could it be their parents are single and got married?" one student speculated, their laughter echoing around the classroom."Isn’t it weird? How can they be stepbrothers? Tristan and Aiden? That just doesn’t add up," another joined in.Tristan’s hands clenched the edges of his book, but he kept his face ca

"Aiden?" she murmured to herself, her gaze lingering on the boys. "Why does he look so much like Aiden?" As they disappeared into the distance, she began walking back to her car. The resemblance was shocking, and for some reason, she couldn’t shake the feeling that she needed to find out if it was really him. Just as she reached for the door handle, about to instruct the driver to turn around and follow them, her phone rang. “Ma’am, we’ve found a suitable place for you to rest,” her manager said the moment she answered the call. “All right... I’ll head there now,” she replied calmly before ending the call after he told her where to meet. “Take me to the Luxe Hotel,” she instructed the driver. He nodded and started the car. As the vehicle moved, she couldn’t help but glance back, her eyes trailing the direction the boys had gone. Her heart felt heavy as the car sped away, leaving the area behind. She sighed deeply and rested her head against the seat. Memories of Aiden be

"Don’t tell me you’re planning to avoid me now," Tristan said, his voice calm yet challenging. "I wouldn’t dare." Aiden muttered softly, looking away as if to hide his blush. Before he could say more, Tristan's hand slid to Aiden's wrist, pulling him closer until their noses almost brushed. The closeness made the air between them tense, charged. " What do you think about kissing right here?" Tristan teased, a playful glint in his eye. Aiden raised an eyebrow, his smirk widening. But before he could respond, Tristan leaned in, pressing a quick, fleeting kiss to his lips. "I’d stay longer," Tristan murmured, "but I’ve got class... and a project due by noon." Aiden nodded, his gaze following Tristan. "I’ll head out first, then." As he reached the stairs, he turned back briefly, catching Tristan's eyes with a soft smile before giving a small

“What the hell is going on, Tristan?” Aiden’s voice was low and cold, his eyes narrowing as he stared at Tristan, who refused to meet his gaze. “I had no idea… I’m sorry,” Tristan muttered, barely audible as he bit his lip. “Aiden,” Rosie whispered, her voice trembling. “You shouldn’t blame your friend. He didn’t know who I was… I couldn’t tell him I’m your…” She paused, sniffing, struggling to finish her sentence. “Alright,” she continued hesitantly. “I came because I… I wanted to see you, Aiden. To explain. Please, just give me a chance, huh? I know it’s been so long…” “Sixteen years,” Aiden cut her off sharply, turning to face her fully. His voice was like a blade. “Sixteen years since you last saw me, and now you think you can just walk back into my life? Spare me the theatrics!” “Aiden, I’m sorry. Just let me explain—” Rosie’s voice cracked, but Aiden rose to his full height, towering over her, his presence intimidating. “Explain?” he spat, his tone razor-sharp. “Expl

    — Sixteen years ago.The sun shone brightly over the wide field. Children ran and laughed as they played, their joy filling the air. Seven-year-old Tristan sat alone at the edge of the field, his head bowed as he traced shapes in the dirt with his finger. His long hair, tied in a single ponytail that hung down his back, gave him a delicate, almost girlish appearance. He preferred being by himself—always had.His aunt’s words from the day before echoed in his mind: “You’ll get used to it here. Just give it time.” But Tristan doubted he ever would. Even though his stay here wasn’t permanent, he couldn’t imagine this place ever feeling like home.As he focused on his drawings, a soccer ball rolled toward him, coming to a stop just in front of his feet. He looked up, his gaze shifting to the boy running toward him."Pass the ball," the boy said with a big smile. Tristan didn’t respond. He simply stared at the boy, then at the ball, making no move to pass it. Without waiting, the boy jog

Tristan kept glancing at his phone, waiting for a call or text from his aunt to confirm her arrival, but nothing came. They had been away from home since morning, yet there was no news. "I'm worried, Tristan," Aiden muttered, breaking the silence and catching Tristan's attention. "I am too," Tristan admitted. "But I believe it will be okay." "What if Mom is still against it?" Aiden asked, his voice tinged with unease. Tristan looked up at him, his expression firm. "If that’s the case, I’ll have no choice but to go against her," he said quietly, placing his phone down. Just then, his phone buzzed. He picked it up to see his aunt's name flashing on the screen. Quickly, he swiped to answer. "Anything?" he asked, his voice tight with anticipation. Eric finally managed to pull Jarvis away from the edge of the rooftop, breathing heavily as relief washed over him. Before he could scold Jarvis again, he found himself enveloped in a tight hug. "Eric... I still love you, honestly," Jarvis whispered, his voice trembling as he clung to Eric. For a moment, Eric stood still, his hands hovering awkwardly before he gently pushed Jarvis away. He stared at him, searching for the right words. "Look, Jarvis," Eric began, his tone calm yet firm, "it’s been four, five months since we ended things. You need to take it like that because I don’t love you. Not anymore."Jarvis opened his mouth to respond, but Eric didn’t let him. "I already have someone I’m stupidly in love with. It’s time you let go of these... feelings you still have for me, because it’s not going to work." Eric’s gaze softened slightly, but his words were unwavering. When Tristan finally broke the kiss, his voice was raw with emotion. "I can’t do this anymore, Aiden... Let’s go back to how we used to be."Aiden stared at him, emotions swirling like a storm he could no longer contain. Without a word, he grabbed Tristan by the collar and kissed him again, this time with more intensity, more desperation. Minutes later, he abruptly pulled away, stepping back as his breath came in ragged gasps. His face shifted, the vulnerability vanishing as a cold, unreadable expression slipped into place. "So?" Tristan asked softly, his voice uncertain. "So?" Aiden chuckled, obviously annoyed. "Who the hell do you think you are, deciding when to leave and when to come back?" "I..." Tristan began, but his gaze dropped, and the words faltered on his tongue. "You don’t get to do this," Aiden snapped, his voice sharp and filled with hurt. "You can’t just walk away and then show up like nothing happened. You don’t get to mess with my head like this.""I was wro

Every day, Aiden tried to convince himself that everything was fine—at least on the outside. But deep down, he was struggling. He knew he was lying to himself. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t stop thinking about Tristan. It was frustrating because he had done everything he could to block Tristan out. But every time he walked into their home, the urge to confront him was there—to ask him to at least reconsider, to talk about… them. Yet, Aiden always held back. He didn’t know if it was pride, fear, or just pure exhaustion, but he never acted on it. Instead, he forced himself to stay busy and resist the temptation. That evening, distraction came in the form of basketball with his friends. The court was alive with energy as they ran and competed. The cool air didn’t bother them as the game kept them warm. Troy wasn’t around; he had gone to visit Eric. Supposedly, Eric had invited him over, and Troy had agreed, which gave the others plenty of reasons to tease him nonstop."You g

They hadn’t seen Aiden like this in a long time.“This is bad,” Colby muttered, glancing at Jefferson. “We can’t let him keep going like this. He might die at this rate or worse, end up with lung cancer.”Before they could intervene, Aiden let out a loud laugh, his voice thick with pain. My mom might go crazy. This isn’t just about us anymore, Aiden. It’s bigger than that.""But…" Aiden began, his voice breaking, but Tristan stood up, the chair scraping loudly against the floor.
