'Khhkh' Kiara couldn't help but chuckle in the end. "I am really sorry. I tried hard not to laugh but you were not stopping with your speech at all." She said.

"Kiara? How can you say that?" Max bewilderedly asked.

Kiara's words brought inexplicable expression to both Cathy and Ria's faces. Her words and actions were not cooperating at all with the situation. How can someone laugh at their offender after what they had done to her? Kiara suddenly looked like a totally different person to them.

"I mean what I say, Max. You are really funny." Kiara spoke.

"You-"

"You seriously think that I am hurt? I am devastated by your betrayal? Can't you see how happy I am having my favorite drink and snacks with my best friend during my working hour in a relaxed mood? I feel like I am free. Can't you see that?"

Max's eyes instantly wavered. Looking at the desk and how her favorite drink and snacks were actually in front of her, made him realize how this is not the symptom of someone heartbroken.

Where he expected his arrival would stun Kiara and shatter all her emotions at once, Kiara looked all fine to him. In fact, she looked more than fine to him.

Kiara not for once tried to hide from embarrassment. She didn't try to avoid them. All this time she was having a face-off with them instead. It was strange and way different from the image he had in her mind.

Instead of shattering Kiara, that situation shattered Max's ego instead. How can a girl in love with him actually be all fine after his betrayal? Doesn't that mean that she never liked him? Doesn't that mean that their relationship was actually all facade?

"Kiara you do know what you are saying. Right?" Max solemnly looked at her.

Kiara sneered at his words. "Of course, I know what I am saying or doing Max. In fact, I can't be more sure than this in my whole life. In fact, I should be thanking you for doing this to me."

"You- you are totally okay by all this? You wanted this?" He asked again with a cold voice.

"A few days ago, No. But now? Definitely. I know why you did that. So all I care about is your reason. But being humiliated or devastated? No, not a chance."

Getting up from her seat she walked and stood behind her chair. Placing both of her arms on the head of the chair, she continued.

"You said you did all that for your family? Do you say that you can't betray your father? Then why don't you explain to me why your father wanted us to get engaged as soon as possible. If I remember correctly it was my grandfather who wanted to take some time before arriving at that stage. But your family wanted us to get engaged within a week. Isn't it right Max?"

"..." Everyone got nothing to say or to add on. Max says that what he did was for his family. He did that for their welfare. Then what is all this....?

"You say that you don't wanna betray your family. Then why, since you betrayed me, your family is calling me every single day or to say after every 6 hours? They don't just apologize to me Max but also insist that I don't give up on you as they will provide me justice. Do you even know that Max? Or you just came here without even meeting your family?" Kiara amusedly looked at him as she asked.

Hearing that Max almost staggered back in shock. Ria looked sideways at him with a dismal. Both he and her know the reality. Max came for Ria only because he wanted power. He never cared about his family's feelings in front of his ambition. It wasn't Nora who wanted all this for her, but Max and his fiance Ria.

The Max family always and always loved Kiara dearly. From day one they always wanted Kiara. Using his family's name was a very wrong decision by Max. However, Max has no knowledge that his family is still contacting Kiara to apologize. He knows that his family is constantly contacting him to break the engagement with Ria but he always ignores them. Didn't think that they were doing the same to Kiara.

Cathy happily looked at her best friend. She was shocked to her core. Seeing how smoothly and precisely Kiara took care of the couple in just a few minutes, she was all content and thankful. She never thought that her friend would actually be able to do that. Pulling off such a character out of nowhere shocks her definitely.

Ria's side lips twitched. Clenching her fist tightly she spoke. "You are such a pain in the ass."

"Oh that I am, I know. And you know what? From the bottom of my heart, I want you guys to be happy. So don't worry, I will never come for you guys. My loathe is not big as my true blessings for you. I wish you forever guys. Please and please stay together forever. You guys are made for each other. I can't see you guys being separated. So... Cya." Saying that Kiara slowly waved her hand for them to get lost.

Ria scoffed loudly. Looking at Kiara straight in her eyes she proudly said. "You think this will just end here? You don't know what is actually happening outside this small room of yours. You haven't seen the reaction of the world after what I did to you."

"Really?" Kiara smiled.

"Act as much as you want my little sister. But if you think that you can pretend like nothing happened that night and no one would know then I must pop your bubble and tell you that I am living proof of your ruined life Kiara. I have got everything to finish you in a second. In fact, didn't I already ruin you, Kiara?"
