Katherine glanced between me and Richard. He was glaring at me. I felt the air leave my lungs. When Richard was about to step inside, I pushed Katherine aside and tried to close the door. As always, Richard guessed my move and put his foot between the door and the doorframe. I applied more pressure on the door to close it but his hands gripped it tightly. He was pushing the door vigorously from the other side, making it difficult for me to close it. 

"What's going on here?" Katherine asked.
