Wife my foot

Shirley woke up that morning ready to take the day as it came . She barely put her feet on the ground when her phone rang out loud.

“Hello”. She spoke into the phone.

“Hello, is this Miss Shirley McMahon”?

“Yes, this is Miss Shirley. Who am I on to please”.

“This is Detective Ben from the Vegas crime unit, we are calling to inform you that after series of test, results show that your mother is mentally unstable and due to this reason she has been sent to the Las Vegas mental institute for proper care and quick recovery”.

“Oh, okay thank you.. Is that all? Thank you for your help detective”.

She dropped the call and refused to feel sad or shed a single tear. Assuming she listened to Charlotte then, maybe things wouldn’t be as worse as they are now. Refusing to give it much thought, she did her morning routine and dressed up in a floral dress, just right for the weather. She stepped out of her room and immediately bumped into someone.

“Hey maid watch it”.

She looked up to see that she bumped into Nicklaus. But something else caught her attention; he was holding her tight to prevent her from falling. This is the closet she had gotten to him since he got into the house, his eyes so blue and beautiful like the ocean, she actually got lost in them for a moment. He in turn stared into her moon shaped brown eyes like he was also lost.

“Ewwww”. She heard and the next thing was her butt landing hard on the floor.

“How dare you touch me”. He asked with a face filled with disgust.

“Well, you touched me first”. Charlotte said back. She was actually trying to hold her laughter by keeping a straight face. The look on Nik’s face was so funny, he looked like he just touched poop

“Well if you didn’t bump into me I wouldn’t have touched you. Maid. Now I have to change my outfit again”. Nicklaus said angrily.

Charlotte also became angered by his last statement. Who does he even think he is?

“Well, I’ll have to endure an unfortunate day today”. Charlotte screamed to his face.

They both scoffed at each other and walked in the opposite direction. As Shirley made her way downstairs, she felt someone pull her arm into the corner.

“What? She almost screamed but she felt a hand cover her mouth. She calmed down when she saw that it was Adon who pulled her.

“Whoa whoa, what’s wrong with you, it’s too early to be this mad. Who are you mad at anyways”?.

“Nicklaus!! he’s the total opposite of you and he’s getting on my nerves.

“I apologize on his behalf. Please, for me you’ll have to bear with him, okay..”.

Shirley took in breath and released them at interval while waiting for Adon to speak.

“What’s our plan”? He finally spoke.

“We go with both. Show little gesture that interprets love and the second will be our own little secret”. Sarah said lowly like whispers.

They did high five giggling like little kids who just got candy bars. Adon was about to leave when Charlotte pulled him back. “Remember, it’s just acting, make sure you don’t fall in love with me”.

“Nahhh, that’ll never happen”. Adon replied.

They all arrived the park and went their separate ways. Adon with Sarah, Nicklaus with Allison and Shirley who was more like a third wheel.

The first ride for Adon and Sarah was the rollercoaster. Sarah was actually afraid of the roller coaster but being the tough woman she pretended to be she refused to admit it but instead devised ways to avoid the monster ride..

“Are you sure you can go on this ride, if you can’t we can go on something else”. Adon said as if sensing her fear.

Sarah scoffed at him “Do I look like a weakling to you?”

When they reached front of the ride, Sarah thought of what to say to provoke Adon and ruin the day.

“Oh. I know that you asked Nicklaus to prepare this dumb couple outing, we may be a couple but not for long”. Sarah fired out of nowhere but as usual his only response was silence.

Now she has no other option but to go on the monster ride.

Immediately they got on the ride, Sarah closed her eyes tight in preparation for the worse ten minutes of her life. She made up her mind not to make a single noise, she wasn’t going to let this man see or treat her like a child.

While in her thoughts the roller coaster gave creaking sounds. A minute passed and her plan of not making a single noise by jamming her lips together continued to work well for her but the monster machine had not yet started moving. Then, Adon tapped her.

“What? I’m trying to concentrate”. She said without opening her eyes.

“If you are trying to concentrate. at least get your hands from off mine”.

She opened her left eye. And saw that her left hand held Adon’s right hand very tight.

“Oh sorry”. She said removing her hand from his.

Without warning the coaster started moving and as much as Sarah tried to hold herself from screaming, she couldn’t. To everyone’s surprise she started screaming loudly while they stared at her. Of course it was very normal for people; both old and young to be scared of the monster machine and even give fearful reactions but no one had expected a grown woman to scream so loudly like she was being chased by a ghost. Even Adon became embarrassed so he ignored her like a total stranger and closed his eyes to enjoy the ride.

“Adon please, tell them to stop this thing. Adon just ask them to stop the damn machine”.

“It’s remaining 9 minutes Sarah the machine can’t stop now and besides people are enjoying the ride”. Adon replied.

Sarah began shedding hot tears. “Please Adon I’ll do anything you ask”.

Adon’s eyes flew open at the sound of what she just said. “Anything”? He asked again to be sure he wasn’t hearing things.

She nodded. “Anything”.

He shot her a look and saw that hot tears streamed her face. Despite everything she made him go through, he hated to see her in pain, he hated it so bad. He slightly turned to face her and held her face firmly in his palms, drew closer to her and claimed her lips in his.

Sarah was speechless….she couldn’t push him away, why? She didn’t know. No, she didn’t hate this feeling, she loved it. Adon on the other hand took advantage of the opportunity, he didn’t know if he would ever get such an opportunity. He sucked, licked, and caressed her lips lovingly then suddenly she started to kiss him back sucking and caressing with the same intensity.

The ride stopped but they didn’t until the crowd started clapping.

“Get a room”. A man from the crowd said

They stopped kissing and Adon smiled, he helped her out of the roller coaster. She followed him out still dazed by what happened a few minutes ago. When they got to a corner she pulled her hand away from his. Adon knew instantly that she was about to flare up real bad because of what he did back there and honestly speaking he had prepared himself for it.

“What was that you did back there? That was her first question. Before he even got a chance to answer, she fired another question at him. “What were you feeling like”?.

“You haven’t forgotten the fact that you’re my wife”?.

Sarah scoffed. “Wife my foot”.

Adon looked up to the sky as if thinking. “Well, from what I remember, you enjoyed It too”. He moved closer to her ears. “You kissed me back remember. You sucked my lips and even begged me not to stop”.

He moved back and Sarah said to him “Pervert”.

Well one of the things he learned from Shirley was he had to be patient and come out of his shell another he learned from the internet was that he had to learn to do things that’ll make his woman love him more. Like random kisses, text messages and so on. He had been afraid to do these things; for fear of Sarah’s reaction but the more he thought about it the more he realized that Sarah is his wife and the worst she could do was scream at him. He was determined, very determined too earn her love.

The rest of the day went well without them fighting or killing each other. Shirley on the other hand followed Nicklaus and Allison wherever they went. She had a hectic day and the only thing on her mind was to get home and have a nice shower.

Just then it dropped In her mind to speak to Charlotte. She brought out her phone and tried calling Charlotte but got no answer. Then she dialed James and he picked up on the third ring.

“Hey bestie”. She called but got no answer

“Hey B-e-s-t-i-e”. She called again but this time dragging each letters.

“What kind of bestie leaves her bestie for days without calling or checking up”? James asked in an angry but playful tone.

“I’m so sorry James.. I’ve been through a lot lately and I can’t explain it on phone. I promise I’ll tell you all about it when we see okay”.

“Sure bestie”. Came the reply from the other end.

“And about Charlotte, have you heard from her? I tried calling but her line is switched off”.

“Umm can I call you back?, I have something very important to do”.

Then he hung up. She knew James. Whenever he was asked something he didn’t want to talk about, instead of lying he always avoided the topic. Something is definitely off with James and she is going to find out about it.

James arrived the large gate and looked around from his tinted glass to be sure that no one was watching before driving in.

He parked his car in the parking lot and alighted. He walked into the building and before he even entered a little boy of about six years old ran and hugged him.

“James you came….i thought you wouldn’t be able to make it today”. The little boy said.

James still didn’t let go of the little boy, he carried the boy in his arms till he reached the interior of the house.

“Where is dad’? James asked, searching the house with his eyes.

“He’s upstairs”.

James dropped the boy with his toys and left upstairs to meet their father. He walked into the room and greeted the man with a slight bow

Good morning dad.

The man faced him. “Is that how to greet your father”?.

A big smile appeared on James’ face as he ran and hugged the man tightly. “Why did you leave so suddenly”?.

“I had to spend time with my sister, she’s been going through a lot lately and I had to be there for her”.

“And Tabitha”. The old man asked.

“She’s still very sick dad, she has been sent to a mental institute”.

The old man sighed. “Oh Tabitha, the pain of losing her child and husband”.

“She didn’t exactly loose both and don’t you think it’s time we tell them everything”?

“Not yet, they still have many enemies.. Especially your big sister. We can’t risk their life by revealing things to them. When the time is right we’ll let them know”.

“Yes father”.

Charlotte has been tied to the ceiling since the last 24 hours. To be more precise, since she failed to provide Paul a reasonable explanation for leaving the house.

“I just went out for some fresh air, I swear”. She said again hoping he would believe her.

“Charlotte darling how many times have I warned you never to lie to me”?

“I swear Paul I’m not lying”.

“I’ll teach you a little lesson”.

Charlotte watched as he brought out his horse whip. She knew that she couldn’t endure it anymore, the only thing on her mind right now was to pray. “ Dear lord forgive my sins.. Cleanse me and accept me into your kingdom, amen”. Then the whip hit her and she passed out.
