Ava relates:

Ava relates:

I was going to lose my mind, yes, that was surely what would happen. I was at my parents' house, and the only person I could talk to at times was Cristina, the housekeeper. Although I enjoyed the brief moments of her company, most of the time, I was alone.

My mother was always in her world, planning parties and events, and my father was at the company. I could barely see him on occasion. And I missed Alex—every day, every minute—as if it were an addiction, suffering from withdrawal.

I always thought of Alex, and every night, I cried in silence, longing for his embrace, his breath on my neck before sleep, and his words of love. There were even days when, out of nowhere, anxiety attacks would hit, pushing me to go back, and I could barely contain them.

I had already endured a month without Alex. And even though I asked my grandfather not to look for me, every day I would look out the window of my room, hoping to see him arrive, shouting to me and taking me back

Alex relates:“Sir?” Olivia cautiously peeks into my office.“Olivia,” I respond without even looking up, focused on signing papers. “Did you do what I asked?”“Yes, sir. I have already spoken with your lawyer. He said he will contact Mrs. Joselin Morales and inform her of your decision.”“And do you have any news about...?”“No, sir,” she interrupted quickly. “They still haven’t found anything.” I looked up, frowning.“Thank you. You can go now.” I watched her seriously. She practically bolted out of the room.I sighed, sinking back into my chair. I needed to try to calm down; even Olivia was afraid of me now. But lately, my bad temper has taken over.It wasn’t easy living every day missing Ava, but what else could I do?The police hadn’t found Mike and Cecil. It made sense that Mike would hide, but why would Cecil? She could easily testify and get off with community service or some other trivial penalty. It didn’t add up.And then there was Joselin. That woman was relentless. She ke

Ava relates:I slowly raised my eyes, feeling my hands start to sweat, my heart pounding, and my stomach churning. A tailored suit came into focus before me.Alex had come for me! Emotion overwhelmed me, and my eyes instantly filled with tears. But as I looked further up, a familiar face—one I wasn’t expecting—confronted me. It was Ethan. My mouth went dry, a wave of dizziness hit me, and for a moment, I thought I might fall off the swing. First Eva, and now him?I could have sworn it was Alex, but it seemed fate was determined to force me to face the demons of my past.“Ava, I’m back,” he said, a smile spreading across his face.I snapped my book shut with a loud thud and stood up, ready to leave, but Ethan grabbed me by the arm, stopping me.“Ava! Wait!” His smile disappeared, replaced by a look of anxious desperation.“What do you want?” I growled, refusing to turn around.“Nothing! It’s just that… I was passing by, and seeing you here surprised me, so I thought…”“What? That you c

Ava relates:Days passed, and everything started to go downhill. Wherever I was, Ethan appeared, like a stalker. Many times, I stayed home just to avoid running into him, and eventually, I returned to my self-imposed isolation. One morning, I left the house early for a medical checkup. I was over four months pregnant, and the doctor had given me incredible news. I felt so full of love, so happy, like I hadn't been in a long time. According to the test results, everything was going well with no complications. As I walked back home, I thought it was time to return to Alex, to share this little piece of happiness with him, if he hadn't already given in to Joselin.Although deep down, I was sure that wouldn’t be the case, I also had some fear about how Alex would react to my return. Would he still love me, even if he wasn’t with Joselin, or would he hate me?When I was almost home, once again, Ethan crossed my path. Immediately, I showed a serious face and tried to avoid him, but he insis

Alex relates:It was a good day. My lawyer had called me early in the morning to confirm what we had already suspected: Joselin had left. All it took was filing a lawsuit against her for a substantial amount of money, adding the aggravating factors of her harassment and violating the restraining order. That was enough for her to disappear as suddenly as she had arrived.Although they hadn’t found Mike yet, Ava’s frustrated ex-boyfriend, or her former friend Cecil, the investigators had informed me that they were following a lead. So, for me, it was a day of achievements, and I was so happy and eager to see Ava that I was starting to seriously wonder if it was time to go find her. That morning, I went to the office to take care of some loose ends. I planned to get everything in order before thinking about flying to Paris to surprise my wife, when life surprised me instead. My secretary, Olivia, called.“Mr. Grand?” Her voice came through the receiver.“Is something wrong, Olivia?”“I’v

Ava relates:It had taken me a long time to get a flight; in fact, I spent hours at the airport waiting, but I wasn’t about to go back out.At some point, I thought it would be great to use Alex's private jet, but that wouldn’t be as fun anymore. I wanted to surprise him.At least I had plenty of time to think things through, to reflect and control my fears. Plus, I was able to pick out a cute outfit that would accentuate my belly, because I planned to surprise Alex with everything. So, I changed into the airport restroom. After hours of waiting, my flight finally took off, and I had returned. I decided to go straight to Alex's house first since it was still early, and most likely, Alex was still there, probably hadn’t left for the office yet.The security guard at the entrance was very surprised when I arrived. I assumed it was because of the belly I was showing. I greeted him with a smile and continued on my way.I entered the house, dropped my bag in the hallway, and walked toward

Mike relates:I was exhausted. Since my relationship with Ava had ended, my life had turned into a complete nightmare, all because of her and because of the man who was now her husband, Alex Grand. Not only had I been publicly accused of infidelity when I had faced Ava with my heart in my hands, to tell her the truth and end things on good terms, but they had also made sure to destroy my professional reputation. I hadn’t been able to find work anywhere, and as if that wasn’t enough, they had even dared to have me thrown into jail multiple times, which drained my savings from paying bail.Lisa had left me. Now, I live in a shabby apartment, desperate. I had to get my life back. They owed me everything they had taken, and it was time to settle the score.Time was running out. I had learned that the police were looking for me over a stupid prank I had pulled on Ava, causing her to fall during a fashion show.Even though I had been arrested for that incident and released for lack of evide

Ava relates:I didn’t know exactly how much time had passed, but I could swear it had been hours. Cecil had gone back to the adjacent room, and Mike kept pacing around me, thinking about what to do, murmuring different plans and, in many cases, rambling incoherently.Meanwhile, I remained seated in the same chair, terrified. At least the taste of blood in my mouth had faded, though my lips still felt swollen from the slap Mike had given me.I couldn’t stop thinking about what would happen to me, to my pregnancy. I thought about Alex, my grandfather, about how Mike had turned into this horrible man, or maybe, deep down, he had always been like this, and I just hadn’t seen it before.I was so scared, and I couldn’t stop asking myself, how could I get out of this?It was getting dark, and I was hungry and exhausted. Mike hadn’t let me move from that chair, and all he had given me was some water and a small piece of bread. I felt like I was about to collapse at any moment when, finally, i

Alex relates:I had returned and found no trace of Ava. I had tried calling her hundreds of times without success. The first call had gone through, but after two rings, it was cut off. After that, her phone sounded off.It made me really worried—I had a bad feeling. When I got home, Eva was already gone, and Martina informed me that Ava had had a big argument with her sister. Then, since she couldn’t find me at home, she went to the office to look for me, but that had been hours ago, and Ava still hadn’t returned.I immediately headed to the office. Both Olivia and the security guards confirmed that Ava had been there but had left that morning when she couldn’t find me.I assumed she would be with her grandfather, Mr. Chester Golf.I called him, but he sounded as bewildered as I did. Ava had never made it to his house. So, we both began calling all of Ava’s family and friends, both locally and abroad.Could it be that Ava had hidden from me again, thinking I had been unfaithful with h

Ava relates:"Excuse me..." That really irritated me. I mean, how bold could this woman be to ask for my husband's details after all the times I’ve seen her clingy behavior toward him? She might be my personal idol, but when it came to Alex, no one was getting close to him. "What are you after?" I growled."What?" She seemed to notice my sudden change in mood."I mean..." I took a deep breath, trying to control myself. "Since we started this process, I couldn't help but notice the... 'preference' you have for my husband." I explained seriously. "And I can’t help but wonder, what exactly are you trying to do with him?""I'm not trying to do anything, Mrs. Grand. It's just that, both in life and in business, it's easier to get along with gentlemen than with ladies. We women tend to let our emotions and feelings interfere, just like you’re doing now. Men are clearer and more straightforward... Or did Mr. Grand ever suggest that I make any advances?" She responded, somewhat annoyed, under

Ava relates:"I agree, but only with one condition," Alex murmured, a playful glint in his eyes, as he slid the hand that had been caressing my cheek down my arm."Which one?" I asked, feeling a tingle on my skin from his touch."That… even when we’re angry, we can’t let the fun, and the marital affection slip away… It’s terrible to go to bed angry," he said seriously."Huh?" I thought, perplexed, Where does he come up with these things at a time like this?"I think it’s a good option," he said, sounding thoughtful. "If you’re angry with me, that same night, you have to spank me right away, that way you release your anger and I can relax..." he said nonchalantly, shrugging."Ha, ha, ha," I burst out laughing. I couldn’t keep up with my husband’s fantasies. "And what happens if it’s you who’s angry?""We can try it too," he raised an eyebrow mischievously. "We don’t know if you might end up liking the spanking as well, and I promise to be very careful.""Oh!"I felt myself turning red

Ava relates:I was terrified. The small pinpricks in my stomach were becoming more frequent, and with each passing moment, more and more people crowded around me.At first, like at any other event, I greeted everyone warmly, smiling as I accepted their congratulations and being polite. But I was starting to feel overwhelmed. I turned, searching for Alex's support. I knew that if anyone could get me out of there, it was him.But Alex had nowhere to be found.I didn’t know when he had left. I looked around at all the facts surrounding me, but he wasn’t there—neither close nor far.My breathing grew more rapid, my nerves intensifying. I felt like I needed some fresh air.“Excuse me…” I tried to make my way through the crowd, searching for my lifeline, my savior: my husband.I walked a bit, but every so often, people would stop me from continuing with their compliments. I tried to apologize each time, making my way through the stand, still hoping to find Alex.I never saw him. He didn’t a

  • Lost in your Curves    Chapter 63 – Differences

Alex relates:With Ava’s pregnancy more advanced than we expected the concerns she tried to brush up on were my top priority. And I think the most stressful part of it all was trying to prevent her from getting stressed—if that makes sense. Especially considering how stubborn my wife could be.But I promised to help and support her through this process, so every day I pushed myself harder at work to free her from commitments, avoid pressure, and make her pregnancy easier. The more I tried, though, the more tense and angry she seemed. The fashion show was just days away, and all we needed to do was fine-tune the details. But Ava insisted on handling everything, and well, that led to arguments. As the days passed, Ava became moodier. She seemed like a ticking time bomb ready to explode. Still, her bad attitude wasn’t going to change my mind, she needed to focus on the baby, take care of herself during her pregnancy, and work had to be secondary.I know I had told her she could keep work

Ava relates:Alex was happy, there was no doubt about it, and although at first, I didn’t want to be pregnant, I could feel his excitement was contagious, spreading all the way to my heart. I started smiling at the news of my pregnancy. Was I scared? Without a doubt, I was filled with panic, but Alex’s words and support gave me a shift in perspective, and I began to see my pregnancy in a different light.A small hope blossomed inside me.Alex wanted to go to the doctor the next day; he was clearly eager, but I had to insist that I already had an appointment scheduled for a few days later. Since we were both swamped with work, he had no choice but to hold off.The following day, we went to work as usual, and even though Alex wanted to shout the news of the new family member to the world, I had to convince him that it was best to wait until a doctor confirmed it.He didn’t want to understand that home pregnancy tests could be inaccurate, but he eventually agreed, though he almost let it

Alex reports:Ava stood there, lost in thought, her head bowed. Slowly, she moved her hand to her stomach."So, Ava!" I shouted, my voice filled with anger. "Tell me the truth! You don’t want to have a child with me?!" I raised my voice, causing her to flinch."Do I want it?" she whispered, not looking at me. "I don’t know yet, I wouldn’t know how to tell you.""After three years together and having our twins, you still don’t know? At this point... You can’t even find the courage to tell me?" I saw the pain in her eyes, and I felt my blood boil with rage. I didn’t want to say anything more, so I stormed out of the bathroom and went straight to our closet, grabbed the first t-shirt I could find, threw on a sweater, put on some sneakers, and started getting dressed."What are you doing? Where are you going?" she asked, barely able to process what was happening as I quickly put on my clothes."I need to take a drive," I grunted, brushing past her to leave.I drove aimlessly, not really k

Ava relates:I had been feeling a bit unwell lately, but it was mostly after taking my reliable birth control, which had been causing me nausea. I thought maybe the brand of the pill wasn’t sitting well with me, so I should switch it. I silently hoped that was the case and that it wasn’t something else.Given the situation, which was starting to irritate me, I decided to pay a quick visit to my doctor. However, when I arrived at the office, I found out that my doctor was unavailable due to a personal emergency, and they wouldn’t let me see another doctor. The receptionist, rather snobby, informed me that I needed to make an appointment with the same doctor who had been treating me.A bit annoyed, I scheduled the appointment, which was for a couple of days later. It was frustrating. I left the office grumbling and drove back home. However, a bad feeling lingered. I felt like there was something more to my nausea than just the pills, and I couldn’t wait another day to find out.So, on m

Ava relates:We left for the company very early, of course, Alex accompanied me.That day was very important for me and for G&G, as a prominent designer and investor had submitted a proposal to launch her new clothing line with our company, thanks to the great success of our recent collections. It was a fantastic opportunity. If we could secure that project, we would have half the work done for the next season, and our company would gain more prestige in the fashion world, positioning itself as one of the leading companies in the industry. Now that I held the position of CEO, I couldn’t let this gift from life slip away, not when I wanted to prove to my grandfather and to everyone how capable I was of running the company.Alex supported me, of course, and accompanied me every step of the way.
