Chapter seven

       Laura GEORGE'S POV

I went straight to my room and was trying to do my assignment and at the same time thinking about what dad just said. 

Why do I feel so  attached to this John ? Have not felt for anyone  like this before. He is rude but yet it looks like I like him. God please help me. After all, he has a girlfriend already. 

I tried to concentrate this time more because it was almost time for our evening devotion and I have to  go meet dad in the sitting room so  we can proceed, I can't be late for that else dad will be annoyed. The  work wasn't that much. I finished up with  my assignment quickly and left for the parlor. I met dad as usual, busy reading the bible. 

Hey dad, isn't it time already. I said. 

Pastor Don::. It's time my angel, I was just waiting for you to finish your work. I never wanted to disturb you.  

Thanks so much dad, you're a darling. 

Pastor Don ::  have always been a darling my angel. Even when your mom was still here. You know that. 

Of course dad I do. Am sure mom will be proud and thankful to God for such a wonderful husband she had. Although she left  us so soon. Am thankful to God  for both of  you dad. What could I  have done without  you two? My best support system ever. 

pastor  Don:: And am proud of  you too my angel, come give  daddy a hug. 

we were so full in the moment, let's praise God daughter, dad said and we started singing  this particular worship song. 

"The cry you will cry, when the  saints have gone, cry it now, when the saints are still around. The shout you will shout, when you hear that the saints have gone eeeeeh, shout it now, when the  saints are still around. After rapture, there will be no more mercy, this is the time to ask for God's mercy, when the  saints are still around ". 

After we finished worshipping God dad continued  with prayers for  like an hour before we ended our evening devotion. It was so full of  God's presence that I could feel it. 

I hugged dad and left for my room while he had to finish the verses he was reading before retiring to his own bedroom. 

      GREG's. POV. 

It's been days I have not heard from my friend Johnny, he always avoids us in school. This is becoming more serious than I thought. We are already losing a lot, especially me. I think me and my guys should find a way to make up with our friend, but how do we do that, introducing him to a new girl? No that's not a good idea, he is so much into queen now, I guess he wont have  our time. 

As I was doing this thinking in the sitting room dad came in and noticed I am unusually quiet. 

Greg's dad::  Hey son, what  is it? You seem so lost in thought, anything the  matter? Have you done something again? 

Greg::   Really?  Dad. Am I that bad? So I can't even have a quiet time to myself now, it must be that I have done  something bad. Anyways dad, it's not strange, you and mom have always said anything good can't  come out of me  since back in my college days. Just let me be please. 

As I said this to him, he just quietly went straight to his room without another word. 

        This is how my own family has always seen me. They think I like  copying life from my friend Johnny whose family is far richer than mine. Although I forced my parents to send me to the same  school that Johnny will attend, I also made them buy me a car. My parents do not  have any other choice since I am  the only boy and that was their weak point which I always used to my advantage. My dad worked as a banker and was doing so well until when he was kicked out due to some fraudulent practices that occurred there, though it was proven beyond any reasonable doubt that he was innocent. Yet that could not stop the stakeholders from doing their wish. Since then he has been managing the boutique  business he opened for mom. 

Let me call my guys Fred and Clark, they might just have a perfect idea on how we should sort  things out with johnny. 

I dialed Fred's number, 

Hello Greg! , Fred said, 

Greg:: Hi Fred, how are you doing? 

Fred::doing great my guy, and you? 

Greg, am doing okay, how about Johnny, have you  heard from him? 

Fred: not  at all ma guy, it seems that guy is taking things really seriously this time. 

Greg::  exactly my point, so what do you think we should do about it? 

Fred:: I suggest we should just apologize to him sincerely tomorrow in school, I believe this  time  he will listen to us. 

Greg:: you got a point, wait let me add up Clark on a conference  call. 

 I dialed Clark's number and added him. 

Hello guys! Clark said immediately he picked the call and noticed I was already chatting with Fred. 

Fred::yoo Clark, how things na ma guy? 

Clark:: great bro and your own end? 

Fred:: same. 

Clark:: Greg what's up na guy. 

Greg::Yeah guys we were just talking on  how to patch things up with our guy Johnny, you know it's been long without him, we have gone  a long way as friends. 

Clark:: exactly bro that has really been disturbing me, thank God you guys brought this up again, tomorrow is perfect timing for us to make up with our guy, we have to make him understand that we never meant to leave him at the hotel room with queen. It's just a little misunderstanding. 

Greg:: Guys see see see, to be frank with you, you know what we stand to lose if this guy distances himself from us, you two know what I am talking about, so tomorrow is the D day.  We're gonna do it tomorrow guys, are we together? 

Fred::but how are we gonna do that, have been thinking of us introducing her to a new hot girl on campus or something. 

Clark::  Fred you got a good idea bro, Greg what do you think? 

Greg::Guys I don't think that's a better idea now, you can see how queen has been all over johnny, she does not give him breathing space not to talk of letting him notice another girl. 

Fred::: Guy forget Queen., you know our gut Jonny and hot chicks especially the ones with big boobs,, that will do the magic for us bro. 

Clark:: Exactly, you guys should  Also  remember queen is the number one reason we are in this mess in the first place. Take note. 

Greg::Okay guys, I agree with you, we're gonna look for a hot girl tomorrow and introduce to johnny. 

But do you guys have any campus or off campus girl in mind at the moment? 

Clark:: none for now but it's always possible. 

Fred::you guys should leave that to me  bro and just watch the magic tomorrow. There is this old friend of mine who just came back into the country and has always told her about John. She is hot, our guy can't resist this one guy, trust me. 

Greg::perfect guy, anyways, see you guys tomorrow, take care. 

Clark. Bye bro. 

Fred:: Bye guys.
