Chapter nine

        The class was soon over and as the  lecturer stepped out, I went straight to laura. 

Hey Laura, I called her. 

Hello Mr John, she answered with a smile. 

How was the class? I asked 

Laura::interesting as usual, prof Edison is actually one of my best lecturers , his lectures are always superb. 

What about you, hope it was the same on your side? 

John::not really oh my dear, this particular topic of today is quite disturbing, let me bring to your notice that I am not good at anything that has to do with calculations. 

Opening her mouth in shock,

like seriously?you can't be serious.  Then how did you find yourself in the engineering department? , you know we deal with such. Laura asked. 

John::I never really chose this field, my family said it best suits me only if I give it a try and put more effort. 

Laura::I see, well in case you need any help in those solving subjects, I am always here. 

John::thanks a lot Laura, this means a lot  to me, I wonder why you're this good to me. 

Laura::the bible teaches me to be good to everyone I  meet. 

John:: your dad must really be proud of you Laura George. 

Laura:: sure he is, and am proud of him too. 

John:: Alright before I forget what brought me to you now is when I entered this class, I saw you staring  at me and smiling, 

Me staring and smiling??? No oh, 

I tried to deny it, I never knew it was that obvious that he even noticed me. My feelings for this John of a guy should be more to mere friends feelings, I feel so comfortable talking to him. Recently I see myself more interested and happy when I am beside him. Could this be love? . No, it shouldn't be, this guy is just a flirt and there is no way I am falling for a flirt like him, as I was doing this thinking in my head, I heard him call me out. 

Hey Laura, you're lost in thoughts, have I done anything wrong by asking? Johnny asked.  

Not at all John. Iaura replied. 

So can you now answer me please. He insisted on knowing why I was smiling at him. 

Laura:: It's  nothing John, it's  just that I saw how you made up with your friends and I was just happy for you. 

John;;;  oh!!  You mean you actually saw us? 

Laura::Yeah I did. 

John:: All thanks to you Laura, it is because of you that I was able to calm the hatred I had towards my friends. Thank you so much

Laura:: We thank God. It's my pleasure I was  able to help in my own little way. 

John::Okay Laura,  let me get to them  now, we have a lot of catch ups  to do, see you later. 

Laura;; okay  John, take care. 

I never really wanted him to leave my side but I guess he really has to be with his friends now, he has really missed them. 

           John's POV

    I went straight to the canteen because I knew my guys would be waiting for me there. We did that a lot back in college. My guess was right,

 there they are, 

feeling so happy as they sight me coming down towards them. They all stood up and came to me, welcoming me like one government official who just built a hospital or school for a community. 

I was really feeling bossy at this moment. I planned to spoil them at the canteen after I heard the surprises they talked about. 

Hey guys, finally you're here. Greg said 

Let's go sit down guys 

Yeah sure, Fred and Clark added. 

We took our seats in one shelter that is built around the canteen for students to relax in. 

John::Now we are here guys, so what's up? 

Greg:: this is not you na ma guy, this is not how we roll, have you forgotten. We always chill with something, you know what  I mean. 

John:: hahahah, I do, anyways take some  drinks from the canteen attendant. Tell him or her I sent you. 

I was one of a very few privileged guys on campus that was becoming so renowned, it's not as if we were renown for doing great in school or something, no, we are renown as flirts, yes, we flirt a lot. 

Minutes later Greg was back with the drinks and we all took our choices. We opened, cheered each other and started drinking as we discussed. 

Fred:: Hey bro, what's up with you and that church rat na, have been seeing you and her most often. 

Clark::exactly my curiosity, guys don't tell me you're falling for such. 

John::guys guys guys, you should know me by now, Laura is just my course mate, you know we offer the same course, you guys know my taste  of girls na, I go for the classy ones, you know me too well. 

Greg:: I have been trying to tell these two guys that you can't be dating Laura but they tried arguing with me, it seems they don't know you too well. 

Clark ::but you are becoming too close to this pastor's daughter guy, I see you falling for her some day, 

John::God forbid! 

Fred:: Anyways guys, I think it's the perfect time to bring our surprise to our boss here. 

John:: exactly what has been waiting for you guys, so where is this surprise?  or should I say, what is the surprise?  

Greg:: Just a moment, guy, you will be amazed. 

Clark::Fred, over to you ma guy. 

Fred immediately stood up from where he was sitting and walked out. I kept imagining what these guys could be up to. 

Exactly 10 minutes later, I saw Fred coming back with one pretty lady. She was really looking hot, I kept wondering how such a beauty would be on campus and I wasn't able to spot her even for ones, although this is a big school but at least, I always have my way of coming in contact with such girls. 

Fred:: hey bro, meet your surprise, this is Angela, you can  called her angel, 

Angela met our boss Johnny Williams, he is the one I have been telling you about. 

Angela::Hello John, good to meet you finally. 

John:: my pleasure Pretty. 

Fred, where on earth were you able to behold this beauty, she possesses everything I needed bro. 

Greg:: You like her right? 

John:: who won't be happy to behold this sumptuous lady, she is perfectly liking her is an understatement.  

I asked her to sit down, she sat on my lap. Oh lord! This lady came prepared already. I was somehow feeling nervous, this lady's shape can really make you have an embarrassing erection. Her boobs was really big, ass was just something else, for  a moment I was already thinking 

of how I will devour this lady later today. 

Angela::You look great John, I think  I like you already. 

My friends were really happy their plans  worked, I could tell that from their expressions. 

I asked Greg to add another drink for the lady. 

 As he went to bring it I decided to ask her if she has been in this school all this while. 

Angela:: not really, I haven't been in this school before. Fred is my good childhood  friend and he has been telling me a lot of good things about you. I was excited when he told me I will be meeting you today. I could not wait, that's why I had to put my own lectures today on hold just to meet you. 

John:: you did all that for a guy you haven't met yet? 

Angela::Of course, from the things Fred told me and the pictures he showed me on his phone, you were  looking so cool. 

Wow, Fred must have told you many things about me. I said

Trust me na guy, angela has been my friend since childhood. Fred said. 

John:: really, so you had a great friend like this and you couldn't tell me guy, your wicked oh, you kept such pretty from your man, that's not cool. 

Clark:: Am telling you guys, I and Greg were surprised when he showed us her picture. 

Fred:: it's not like  that guys, it's just that Angela hasn't been in the country for some time now, that's why you guys did not  meet her earlier. She just came back. 

Angela::  year that's true, I wasn't really  in  the country, but am back for good. I got admitted to the university and I will go to school in the country this time. 

John:: how I wish you could go to  the same school as me. 

Angela::Sorry it's already too late, maybe next time, although this school looks pretty expensive. 

Greg:: Sure the school is expensive but worth it. As you can see. 

As we were chatting, I had this feeling that I had to clear it up as fast as possible. 

Hey Fred, pls can you excuse me for a moment, let's talk for a bit. 

Fred::okay guy. 

Johnny::hello angel, just sit right here I will be back okay, 

Angel:: alright, don't be long please. 

John::Definitely. As I and Fred excused ourselves from them I could see the  curious expressions on Greg and Clark's faces. I am sure they must be wondering what I really want to  discuss with Fred in private without them. I knew  they really wanted to know but kept their cool. When  we were far from them I quickly dragged Fred close to me.
