I wanted to laugh in Alaina’s face. Except she didn’t sound like she was hoping. I couldn’t see her face or tell her expression.

Nothing about her demeanor seemed satire though.

I still had a frozen smile on my face. Because of the shock. I was even confused so much that I didnt know the appropriate response.

After what felt like forever. My face muscles relaxed and I flexed my jaw. Then I turned in the direction I assumed Alaina was.

“What the fuck does that man?” I blurted out in panic. I don’t give her a chance to reply before I add. “How do you wake up the dead when they are already dead?”

“You’re still too young to understand—“

“No.” I cut her off. “No! NO!! NO!!!” My voice got preferably louder with every word. “You’re not going to start telling me stuff like that and then pull the I’m too young card. I’m not and you’re going to tell me everything that is going on because it affects me as much as the next person.”
