The cool breeze hit my face, even if I couldn't see, I could smell and feel. I could tell wherever we were going it smelt amazing. The various scents invaded my nose, it was earthy and smelt like a meadow in a forest. My head was laid against Jaxs shoulder as he carried me out into the night. The crisp air filling my lungs. The inside of the packhouse was so comforting, and it seemed to have everything the pack could need. It gave me a sense of deja-vu, being in such a huge place. My childhood was spent roaming the halls of Ashen Pack, til I was run out. I really don't like surprises either, so the suspense of where he's taking me has me a little anxious.

"Where are you taking me?" I blurted out. The silence is killing me and my curiosity is peaking.

"You will see, don't you worry princess." was all he mumbled as his feet crunched into the earth below us.

"Okay," I mumbled and pretended to pout. His chest rumbled as he laughed and pecked my lips. I held onto him as he walked. After a

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Twenty: Where Am I?

Waking to the sound of dripping water, I got to sit up. My bones and muscles tense and I can't see anything. A scruffy cloth is around my eyes, I feel like I was tossed in a blinder as well with the way my head is spinning. The only thing I can hear is the dripping water. Drip. Drip. Drip. My head aches badly and my hands are bound with a cold metal in front of me. Wherever I am, the ground is cold and wet. A thin cloth sticks to my skin, nor am I wearing anything under it. Memory starts to fog my brain and my body goes colder than the ground it's on. I reached up and pulled the cloth that was blinding me down. Scooting myself into a sitting position, my feet are also tied. The ties are made of silver, weakening me and my wolf. Looking around the cell-like room, it's all concrete, a set of bars with a door lining one wall. The ceiling is dripping into a puddle in the corner. It's cold and bitter. Glancing past the bars, I saw Helen half beaten in the cell across from mine. My heart hi

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Twenty-One: Good Dog

"Jaxs POV"Its pushing close to a week later. Her scent just diappeared. They vanished into thin air with a cloud of smoke. I tried to get up and run to her but I couldn't reach her. Anger consumes me and I slam my fist into the wall, blood oozes from my knuckles. I'm losing my mind without her already. This is my fault. I should have protected her. I can barely feel her. Every since that night my chest has ached. It burned in fear and pain. I know she is alive but nothing good is happening."F--K!!" I slammed my fist into the wall two more times, each hit sending bolts of pain through my arm. It numbed out quickly, blood trickling down my fingers. I have to find her. Walking out of my room, I slammed the door."Katies POV"Time here had moved slowly, the Wizard had visited only once. One of his shadows entered the cell and removed my restraints, but after four days on the floor I was sore. I could barely move, the shirt they gave me barely covered me, it was caked in dirt and filth.

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Twenty-Two: Fate

"Katies POV"Shuffling my feet slowly behind Dean, I followed him, walking past four other cells before reaching the stairs. The cold concrete bit at my feet as we walked, fear running to my core. My arms covered the front bits of myself, I felt exposed through the thin dark blue fabric that hung loosely on me. The back of the thin straps swooped low down my back, exposing it. We assented up the steps, the uneven stone jabbing into my feet. Dean opened a large door and sunlight poured through the opening, blinding me. I shut my eyes tightly and blinked a few times, refusing to move either hand and uncover myself. Paused in fear like stone, my feet refused to move me further. I could feel myself starting to hyperventilate. The warlock's face turned angry, his brows furrowing tightly. He reached towards me and grabbed a fistful of my hair, dragging me out into the light. My hands shot up to my head as I yelped in pain, stands of hair being pulled free from my head. Stumbling up the last

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Twenty-three: Home

'Katies POV"It's been two weeks since I came back to the packhouse. After telling Jax everything, him and his dad are working on finding where he went. We have since learned that Dean is a part of a rogue coven. He has been involved in several murders and a lot of dark forbidden magic. We cant figure out why he wants me though. I'm just a normal wolf. We had the pack house run some samples of my dna and it was confirmed that he was lying about being my father. At this point, I believe he would say anything to make someone's skin crawl and their blood boil.Today I'm having a lunch party with Jax's mom, Tanya, and Sabrina. This has become a frequent event between the three of us. We are sitting outside on Lunas' private balcony, a small round white table sits between all of us with lots of snacks on it. We had already eaten our main course about an hour ago. And now different berries, cheeses, crackers, muffins, and other treats are brought in. I'm lost in my own world as I watch the

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Twenty-Four: River Bath

"Katies POV"As we run through the trees, our feet crunch the ground, leaves and branches on the forest floor. Jax runs quietly and I've lost track of where he went. Pausing, I breathed heavily, filling my lungs with oxygen. Looking around, I don't see him, we've played this game before and he always wins. But I have been practicing. Looking around, I found a tree I could scale quickly. I quickly dig my heels and hands in and perch myself on a branch quietly. Listening around me, I hear birds chirping, and the stream that runs through the pack territory flowing. Its not the sounds I'm listening for though, concentrating harder. I hear him, his slow steady breath and quiet feet move about twenty feet away. I can tell he's using his nose to find me, his deep inhales give it away. Holding my breath, I waited to pounce on top of him. He makes his way to the tree I'm hiding in and he stops, making a full circle. He looked around him confused. Taking my chance while his back is to me, I sta

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Twenty-Five: Big Information, Small Problems.

"Jaxs POV"I watch Katie as she showers, water cascades down her delicate frame. She is washing the soap from her hair, it slides down her body into the drain. I'm drying off after taking a shower together this morning. It's been about three weeks since she was taken from me. Light pink marks still go around her throat, pinkish blue bruising fading from her stomach and legs. We had to use bolt cutters and small saws to cut that damned collar off her. The coward will die soon for all the pain he caused. I'm going to take the Dark Warlock's head when we find him again, and we are close.I walked out of our bathroom after taking another glance at my beautiful mate and walked into our room. Walking to the wardrobe, I pulled out mine and her clothes. I laid her dark jeans out with a black blouse that had red embroidered flowers along the neckline that frilled into a v. I dressed myself in dark jeans with a plain black shirt, slipping the shirt over my head, I heard her light steps approach

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Twenty-Six: Twin Trouble.

Walking down the steps hand in hand with Jax, we made our way to the dining area for lunch. We loaded up our plates with spaghetti and breadsticks, Jax's plate towering over mine. Walking over to the table, we joined Sabrina, Sabastain, and Jaxs Gammas, Chris and his mate Meghann. Chris had just got back with her last week when he returned with his father. They met at a ball in her pack territory. Chris was also one of the best scouts in training, his father being Tim's go-to-scout. As we eat lunch we are all joking and laughing, also getting to know Meghann more. Me and Sabrina were just telling her she would have to get together and show cheer around, when there was a loud shriek from a she-wolf in the dining hall. Everyone around her was laughing and I could see the twins at a distance away, just beside themselves. Looking closer at the she-wolves table, I saw her plate covered in worms that crawled and wiggled about. It turned my stomach upside down. The girl took off running out

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Twenty-Seven: Inside Enemy

Washing the blood off my body in the shower, it seeps down into the drain. Like ribbons slipping through the wind. The events play out in my head. Looking back, I should have guessed it was a trick. I was consumed by the anger I felt. They shouldn't have even been in this room in the first place. Lathering coconut smelling soap into my hands, I run it through my hair, suds building like the emotions that hurricane through me. Guards had come rushing in. Jax left with them after finding out what happened. He said he came running when he felt my anger. He was worried when he got there and I felt so upset still. I told him bluntly and quickly what had happened before turning my back to go into the shower. The water burned down my body as it steamed away the blood. Rinsing the conditioner through my hair, then getting out, I dried myself with a towel, getting dressed in a plain matching set of dark red sweatpants and cropped shirt. Slipping on a pair of slipper boots, I made my way out of

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Fifty: The End

Using every last bit of courage, I screamed. Screaming as loudly as I could, and even though it came out choked, a blast of energy exploded from my chest. I watch as Oliver is blasted back across the other side of the river, his body colliding with a tree and bending in an ugly way. There's no way he survived that... Thinking about being over there, I warped through time again. Closing my eyes as if I were blinking, and transporting myself to be right in front of his mangled body. Covering my face, and turning away for a moment, I collected myself. Gasping, I stepped back two steps. He was lying with his back legs still half wrapped around the tree. Both legs were clearly broken. I could hear the wheezing breaths he took in slowly. He was not conscious and he didn't move. Noticing a knife on his side, I reached over and grabbed it, quickly pulling it from its sheath. The lighter wooden handle feels smooth in my hand, and a dragon is cast into it and runs down its blade. Intricate deta

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Forty-Nine: Run Again Princess.

Running again. Why am I always running? My feet splash in a puddle as the rain starts falling harder. The sound of it echoed through the red hazy night. I have been running for three hours and my breath comes out in foggy bursts. The air is thick like this with the rising fog and humidity. Stopping, I listen around me. I have only run into him once. My body reacted and zapped me... Well, I don't know where I am anymore. Walking up a hill, I see a road dead in front of me, a car's lights pass by and the speed of it whips my hair back and out of my face.Climbing, I stumbled forward. Catching myself with my good arm, I half army crawl up. One more step, I can hear the traffic and see the headlights fading in and out. A stick snaps behind me. Looking back, I saw him, I saw his piercing green eyes and menacing smile. My stomach dropped to my ass. Falling to my rear, I put my hand up and sent a tornado of leaves and sticks right at him. He claps his hands and my small tornado disappears. H

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Forty-Eight: Out Running Time.

"Jax's POV" -The day Katie disappeared- If Katie thought I would leave her, she wasn't thinking correctly. Sitting on a bench, I am still a distance away. As I was walking away, I heard her say she had seen him before in a dream, and now I am definitely not going to leave her side. Keeping a distance, I sat under a tree and watched. My elbows on my knees with my hands clasped together, both feet on the ground ready to jump into action. Watching as my gorgeous mate floods the arrogant asshole who claimed he could help her, I just don't understand why she couldn't see what I saw. I could see the danger he held. As if the universe is out to prove me right, I see him moving closer. Waving his hand as my mate fell through the cracks of the earth, her scream sent chills through my spine. My wolf took control in seconds. Standing up, I shifted and immediately started gaining speed, but the portal that swirled on the ground closed in on itself like a black hole. Since when could he teleport!

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Forty-Seven: Good Girl.

COULD BE TRIGGERING(Spoiler-Katie loses the baby, you could skip to Oliver's POV halfway through the chapter if this is a triggering topic for you.)Waking up, my arm is immediately the first thing I notice, then the cramping in my stomach. Going to reach down to my stomach, my one good free hand is chained to a bed post. Wait.. Looking around, I notice the dull pink, princess-style bed post that held my chain and towered up and towards the pillows, pink and dusty. This is my old room. Shimming up on the floor, I get myself standing using the bedpost. More cramps had me half doubling over. Looking around more, I see a photo of me, my father, and my mother sitting on the dusty bedside table. My heart shatters. The image is dull, the frame and glass covered in dust. My stomach cramps again, and I feel moisture come between my legs. I'm losing my baby..."OLIVER!" I yelled out, at least he was nice enough to splint my broken arm. "WHAT DID YOU DO?" I screeched. Another cramp and I could

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Forty-Six: The Day Before Continued..

"Katie's POV"Sitting on my knees, I look at the palace that towers before me. The sun behind it turned the sky orange and pink as it set. The mountains surrounding me towered even taller, touching the clouds. A dewy fog rolled from the bottoms of the mountain, filling the air with the smell of rain and clarity. Tears flowed from my eyes, I forgot how beautiful it was here. The mixture of awe swirled with pain, my heart aching in my chest. A thousand memories stabbed into my chest as I sat there on my knees. Standing, I took hesitant steps forward, my feet dragging. Putting my hand on the rusted iron gate that towered over me, it creaked loudly against the hinges. My feet landed with light thuds as I walked through the abandoned kingdom. Overgrown trees and grass made it eerily strange. This looked like the place I once played and explored, but now it was covered in vines and overgrown with weeds. The once small shops and houses fell in on themselves. Wild animals could be heard scatt

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Forty-Five: The Day Before

"Katie's POV" Following Oliver, I kissed Jax before going further into the training area. Nerves were coursing through my veins. I may not have told Jax about the dream or that I suspected I knew whom it was. He was going to be in the packhouse dealing with pack business in a first level office, ready to be mind-linked if I needed him. His hesitant goodbye was understandable, but I needed to figure out this one on my own.. I can't risk his life either. Oliver had already made his way to the middle, walking to meet him. I was on guard and ready. I wasn't going to give in easily, and looking at him today, I recognize he is one of my dreams. Those green eyes, so haunting and expressionless, I wonder if he knows something more too. His black hair tied neatly again at the nape of his neck, and his striking green eyes searched my every move. "I've seen you before." I started the conversation, the air growing thicker ever every moment. Jumping right to my questions before he could say anyth

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Forty-Four: Tickles

"Katie's POV"Lacing up my shoes, I sigh loudly. Jax is angry because I chose to train with Oliver again. He sits on the edge of the bed, his big shoulders slightly sagging."I just don't understand why you would want to train with him after yesterday, Katie." He said for the third time in this conversation since we've been talking about it all morning."I told you baby, he is right. I need to get control of my powers, it's hard enough to even summon it willingly. His methods are a little rough around the edges, sure. BUT, I am a grown girl. I can handle it." I walk over, gently smootching his cheek. Even though he was angry, I know he understands. He huffs as he digs his phone out his pocket, pulling up a racing game. Walking to the center of the room, I start stretching my muscles. I was a little sore after doing so much yesterday, if anything, it showed me how out of shape I've become. As I stretch the sound of Jax's race goes on behind me. If today was like anything like yesterday

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Forty-Three: Battlefields and Bears

"Katie's POV""That's it!" I stood quickly and raised my hands. A powerful wind pushing dirt in Oliver's direction before cycloning around him. With a sound of a snap it all flew right back out. Poofing into the air, the dirt floated down to the ground like snow. Slowly, Oliver could be seen pacing my direction. Frozen like stone, I watched waiting for another shot to come my direction."I see the princess does have some spice!" He exclaimed loudly, sarcastically clapping his hands as he got closer."You know I am pregnant!" I shouted back, furious that he went so hard."I do," his foot steps paused three feet from me. "All the more reason you need to protect yourself." Raising his hand, he summoned fire. It twirled in his fingers as my panic soared. The moment he twitched to even move, I felt a pulse radiate from my body. Throbbing, it felt as it came from deep inside me. Looking him in his eyes, I let go. Pointing my hands straight, ice crystals form like little daggers and flew tow

  • Lost Luna   Chapter Forty-Two: Meeting You.

"Green-eyes POV" Sitting in Justices room, I am finally in the packhouse. We introduced me to her father and mother, and the Alpha and Luna of this pack. Justice giving me an outstanding resume. Looking around the princess styled room, she had made the guest room altered to her style. Looking around it's littered in different shades of pinks and lavender, so much it makes my stomach turn. Accents of white fluffy carpet, curtains, and pillows scattered here and there. Leaning agaisnt the bottom bed post I look at my phone, sighing, I check the time. 1:22. It was almost time for my little training appoitment, and sweet escape from this witch. Smiling to myself I looked over to her sitting with her back against the pillows and her legs half dangling from the bed. With three more days til the blood moon, plans have been picking up pace. Justice ran into Katie a few days ago, and the spell I cast is working. Justice sits on the bed, her legs crossed at the ankles as she scrolls through he
