Lost Luna
Run, Run, RUN. Don’t stop.
The night was falling and like the creatures of the day, I needed to hide. My heart is thundering in my chest, echoing the sounds of the war that rage from the fields of my once loved home. That was before the coven came. Surprising us and taking my home and pack. The attack happened so quickly that no one was ready. We had no warning and after hours of waiting I was found. I had to run. Don't stop running.
“CRACK” the current of magic shoots by and hits the tree to my left, my bare feet crunching the earth hard and fast. My small heart fluttering faster than a hummingbird's wings, my once sparkling beautiful dress is no more. It’s tattered, dirty, and torn. The edges burnt to a crisp and coated in blood from bodies of the battlefield that I raced away from.
“Come here little wolfie,” a harsh raspy voice calls out cutting through the trees I hide quickly behind a tree to take cover to breathe, “I just want a little chat!” He calls singsong like, taunting me. He wants to find me to kill me. Ducking further behind my tree I hold my breath, my young body shaking with so much force my bones ache. Holding my breath and closing my eyes hoping for safety that surely won’t come. At only 11 years of age, I can’t fight this grown warlock... he will surely kill me like he did my parents...
“Wolfie princess, where are you?” He mimics the rhythm of a child’s tune, as if I’d listen. Closing my eyes tighter I don’t want to die. I’m too young. My mind is racing, and my hearts bound t....

Chapter: Chapter Fifty: The EndUsing every last bit of courage, I screamed. Screaming as loudly as I could, and even though it came out choked, a blast of energy exploded from my chest. I watch as Oliver is blasted back across the other side of the river, his body colliding with a tree and bending in an ugly way. There's no way he survived that... Thinking about being over there, I warped through time again. Closing my eyes as if I were blinking, and transporting myself to be right in front of his mangled body. Covering my face, and turning away for a moment, I collected myself. Gasping, I stepped back two steps. He was lying with his back legs still half wrapped around the tree. Both legs were clearly broken. I could hear the wheezing breaths he took in slowly. He was not conscious and he didn't move. Noticing a knife on his side, I reached over and grabbed it, quickly pulling it from its sheath. The lighter wooden handle feels smooth in my hand, and a dragon is cast into it and runs down its blade. Intricate deta

Chapter: Chapter Forty-Nine: Run Again Princess.Running again. Why am I always running? My feet splash in a puddle as the rain starts falling harder. The sound of it echoed through the red hazy night. I have been running for three hours and my breath comes out in foggy bursts. The air is thick like this with the rising fog and humidity. Stopping, I listen around me. I have only run into him once. My body reacted and zapped me... Well, I don't know where I am anymore. Walking up a hill, I see a road dead in front of me, a car's lights pass by and the speed of it whips my hair back and out of my face.Climbing, I stumbled forward. Catching myself with my good arm, I half army crawl up. One more step, I can hear the traffic and see the headlights fading in and out. A stick snaps behind me. Looking back, I saw him, I saw his piercing green eyes and menacing smile. My stomach dropped to my ass. Falling to my rear, I put my hand up and sent a tornado of leaves and sticks right at him. He claps his hands and my small tornado disappears. H

Chapter: Chapter Forty-Eight: Out Running Time."Jax's POV" -The day Katie disappeared- If Katie thought I would leave her, she wasn't thinking correctly. Sitting on a bench, I am still a distance away. As I was walking away, I heard her say she had seen him before in a dream, and now I am definitely not going to leave her side. Keeping a distance, I sat under a tree and watched. My elbows on my knees with my hands clasped together, both feet on the ground ready to jump into action. Watching as my gorgeous mate floods the arrogant asshole who claimed he could help her, I just don't understand why she couldn't see what I saw. I could see the danger he held. As if the universe is out to prove me right, I see him moving closer. Waving his hand as my mate fell through the cracks of the earth, her scream sent chills through my spine. My wolf took control in seconds. Standing up, I shifted and immediately started gaining speed, but the portal that swirled on the ground closed in on itself like a black hole. Since when could he teleport!

Chapter: Chapter Forty-Seven: Good Girl.COULD BE TRIGGERING(Spoiler-Katie loses the baby, you could skip to Oliver's POV halfway through the chapter if this is a triggering topic for you.)Waking up, my arm is immediately the first thing I notice, then the cramping in my stomach. Going to reach down to my stomach, my one good free hand is chained to a bed post. Wait.. Looking around, I notice the dull pink, princess-style bed post that held my chain and towered up and towards the pillows, pink and dusty. This is my old room. Shimming up on the floor, I get myself standing using the bedpost. More cramps had me half doubling over. Looking around more, I see a photo of me, my father, and my mother sitting on the dusty bedside table. My heart shatters. The image is dull, the frame and glass covered in dust. My stomach cramps again, and I feel moisture come between my legs. I'm losing my baby..."OLIVER!" I yelled out, at least he was nice enough to splint my broken arm. "WHAT DID YOU DO?" I screeched. Another cramp and I could

Chapter: Chapter Forty-Six: The Day Before Continued.."Katie's POV"Sitting on my knees, I look at the palace that towers before me. The sun behind it turned the sky orange and pink as it set. The mountains surrounding me towered even taller, touching the clouds. A dewy fog rolled from the bottoms of the mountain, filling the air with the smell of rain and clarity. Tears flowed from my eyes, I forgot how beautiful it was here. The mixture of awe swirled with pain, my heart aching in my chest. A thousand memories stabbed into my chest as I sat there on my knees. Standing, I took hesitant steps forward, my feet dragging. Putting my hand on the rusted iron gate that towered over me, it creaked loudly against the hinges. My feet landed with light thuds as I walked through the abandoned kingdom. Overgrown trees and grass made it eerily strange. This looked like the place I once played and explored, but now it was covered in vines and overgrown with weeds. The once small shops and houses fell in on themselves. Wild animals could be heard scatt

Chapter: Chapter Forty-Five: The Day Before"Katie's POV" Following Oliver, I kissed Jax before going further into the training area. Nerves were coursing through my veins. I may not have told Jax about the dream or that I suspected I knew whom it was. He was going to be in the packhouse dealing with pack business in a first level office, ready to be mind-linked if I needed him. His hesitant goodbye was understandable, but I needed to figure out this one on my own.. I can't risk his life either. Oliver had already made his way to the middle, walking to meet him. I was on guard and ready. I wasn't going to give in easily, and looking at him today, I recognize he is one of my dreams. Those green eyes, so haunting and expressionless, I wonder if he knows something more too. His black hair tied neatly again at the nape of his neck, and his striking green eyes searched my every move. "I've seen you before." I started the conversation, the air growing thicker ever every moment. Jumping right to my questions before he could say anyth
