Chapter seven

"Yeah, I do..., I want to be great in life, I want to be like you, to live a better life, to work in a company or have my own company if possible and make cool money."

Hearing her response, he stood up from where he was sitting and held her hand and asked.

"So, why not go for it?" 

"What?" She asked all excited.

"Yes, I said go for it, I'm gonna provide whatever you need for that, Okay?" he asked and squeezed her hands gently.

"Like seriously..., you're going to do that for me?" She asked still after and tears started streaming down her cheeks. 

She hugged him and both of them hugged each other tightly, gulping his spit he said, "Yes of cause I'll do that for you Cindy, you don't have to cry, it's nothing, okay?" He asked and patted her back.

He released his grip and cleaned her tears with the handkerchief he removed from his pocket and both of them sat down on the same sofa.

Playfully he ran his finger through her hair, so she felt so relaxed and didn't know when she slept off, then he carried her gently to her room, laid her on the bed and slightly covered her with a duvet.

Immediately he was done with that he went into his room and quickly called the FBI to inform them about the situation in the companies that belonged to Mr Hudson. It's not like they can't deal with those menaces but he desired so much to involve them, after that, he took his shower and went to bed.

"Hi mum!..., hi dad!, You guys are ready for work?" 

"Oh baby come here..., you see... I know we've not been nice to you lately, we have no time to take you out, and we've not asked you how your last time in college was, but believe me dear, if everything is over your dad and I will make it up to you."

Saying that Mrs Williams took a shallow breath and grazed her fingers through her daughter's hair.

"Very soon, I'll be going back to college and you both have been so occupied, not even spending some time with me," She paused and looked at where her father was standing, "Well, there's no need to pester much about me." She shrugged and then stopped looking at her dad, then spinning to her mom, she said, "Moreover, I am now a big girl." Kate said nodding.

Mrs Williams heard her daughter's banter and giggled, looking at her fondly she asked, "Really?... are you?"

"Yea mum, I am!..., and less I forgot mum, I want to join a dancing group when I return to College, I hope you have nothing against that?" Kate asked.

Then Mrs Williams answered, "No...no no!..., you got my approval, you're free to join others, if what they're doing is reasonable..., don't be isolated, fill free to meet friends, but good ones, okay?" 

Mrs Williams asked without blinking an eye and touched the tip of Kate's nose with her index finger, then Kate smiled and hugged her mom again.

"Thanks, Mum, have a nice day." Saying that she let loose her grip and Mrs Williams started walking towards her husband, then Kate waved at her dad and shouted, "Dad have a nice day, too." Her father nodded and they both walked out of the house.

Immediately they left for work Kate juggled through the stairs to her room to shower, she is an amazing dancer just like her mum.

Before going into the bathroom she picked up her phone, clicked on the music app and selected her best song, then dropped it on a stool close to her bathroom door and danced for a while before taking her shower, once she was done with what she was doing she went downstairs and requested for breakfast from the chef.

"Good morning Mr Albert," 

"Good morning, Kate and what would you like for breakfast?" He asked.

"Erm..., I think an egg sandwich and fruit salad will be nice." Saying that she smiled and sat down on the dining chair, then, Mr Albert went into the kitchen, prepared her breakfast and served her.

Mr Williams is a successful businessman, he and his lovely wife are nice and caring type.

One Month has gone, yet Cindy is still nowhere to be found and that was when Mr Black took it upon himself to ensure that he found her little niece at all costs.

Little did he know that letting Cindy out of the house was the beginning of his doom.

Rather than calling the cops, he called his black heart men out of their hidden place.

Desmond never knew his father was that bad till one faithful night.

After one month, Cindy got missing, he wanted to get some water from the kitchen, but immediately he walked by his father's room and listen to what his father was saying, his feet halted and his father's conversation pierced his heart like an arrow.

But the thought of not knowing how to inform Cindy weakened him the more, so he managed and tip-toed back to his room holding his chest.

It was about 2 pm, and a fair beautiful and hairy woman stepped down from the plane at the airport, walking through the exit part, she removed her phone and call a number.

"Hello, Eduardo, send someone to pick me up immediately, don't keep me waiting, I'm in the airport." 

"Like seriously mum, why didn't you tell me that you were visiting from the state?... Ok..., I'll be there soon, just give me a few minutes."

He disconnected and quickly rushed to the airport to pick up his mum, his mum is so dear to him and he can't afford to see her stressed.

On his way to the airport, his mind drafts back to the scene of his discussion with his mum the last time she visited the municipality as it wasn't a nice one, he still can't believe he's going to marry someone he doesn't love.

'Eduardo, you must marry Jessica, no matter how long you delay this issue, you must do it.' 

Those words ranged like a bell in his ears and he asked, 'What!!!?..., Marry who?' he's not a talking type so he looked at her mum coyly and walked away.

'Come back here son, there's no hiding place for you, come back!!' She yelled at him.

 Eduardo remembered all their discussion and he could obviously sense the battle ahead.

If his mum could yell at him just because of Jessica, a girl that he had never set his eyes on, it actually meant that his mum was ready to force him into an unimaginable marital affair.

Earnestly the fact remains that he can't imagine himself going into such a marriage, so reaching the airport he parked the car and taking a deep breath, he took his hands off the steering and face palmed himself before going to meet his mum.

After the whole scene ran through his mind, he decided to take his mum to the family house and not his house this time, to avoid her negative emotional impact.

"Hi mum." He greeted cockily and carried her luggage where she kept it and started walking back to where he parked his car, while his mum stood there staring at him like someone enigmatic and grumbled,

"Not even a proper welcome or a hug, this boy is getting more cruel and arrogant every day, will he be happy ever in his life?... Huh."

She sighed and followed his footsteps to the car, so as they both entered the car, he speed through the road to the family house.

"Are you not taking me to your house?" She annoyingly queried him.

Hearing his mum's nagging voice, he pulled over to explain things to her, so that she won't feel bad knowing fully the reason why he wanted to take her to the family house.

"Something came up Mum and it won't be saver for you in my house, so in the meantime, you should stay in the family house, but as soon as everything is over, I'll come and pick you up."

Saying that he touched his eyebrows and nodded as he didn't even look at his Mum who was seating in the back seat.

"Are you okay with that?"

Mrs Hudson didn't say a word again and Eduardo took it as a yes, then not wasting any more time he drove straight to the family house.

Since the day Cindy arrived at the college, all her mates have been admiring her, she is a perfect description of excellence.

Everyone in the college knows and had always respected her even before she dropped out from college and now that she's finally back both her mates and younger ones who knew her then, happily welcomed her back.

As soon as they were done with the first lesson, she went into the school library to pick up some books and immediately she walked out, she heard some students blabbing but she didn't bother to look in their direction and walked away.

"Hi guys, what did you have to say about her, finally she's back in college and she has always been an obstacle to us and do you know what?" Dave asked angrily.

"Hum! What?" Kate retorted.

"She's gonna take over the position of the head girl very soon," Dave uttered sharply.
