Chapter Seventy.

TANTRUMS OF THE HEART.

I trailed behind Alexander as we walked out of my father's study. My heart was beating in my hands as I studied his back. Even through the material of his cloth, I could tell his back was wide, ripped and tapered. He was perfect.

Once Alexander was out into the hallway, I closed the door to my father's study as we began our journey downstairs to the back of the palace where my garden was. Alexander was quiet throughout the whole journey, and I also managed to stay quiet, although my heart couldn't. It threatened to break out of my chest with how loud and hard it was thumping. I graciously prayed to Cessi to not allow Alexander to hear the tantrums of my heart.

As we entered my garden, I didn't miss the affable air that shrouded Alexander. He suddenly didn't look intimidating, and I wondered if it was because of the brightness of the flowers in my garden.

"Is this your garden?" He
