CLXXXVIII. For Once, A Matchmaker

Victor knew that entering the household of the Mercators is not as easy as getting welcomed by his own family. It felt like eyes were on him, waiting for these beholders to shrug at the different culture Victor was showing to them. He tried his best to move in a formal way. But at the end of the day, it was just his immediate family who kept on talking to him. He waited for Grant’s reaction or even just a simple speech. But he only said a few words.
