Cole

Cole's Pov

After the fight with my dad, I went to my old room to cool off. I was so mad at my father for choosing my side. I have always wanted to please my father and do right by him. For some reason it has never been enough. I keep pushing but its like he wants more each time. 

I might always want his approval, the one thing I refuse to curve on is Mika. He keeps forcing me to get to know her but, I think she is just a selfish person who thought I could be a challenge she could win over. 

My heart could never be hers because mine belongs to another. 

She is beautiful, I will give her that for sure. With her big beautiful eyes and smooth skin. Wait! What am saying? I am not attracted to her and that's just it.

"Who are you talking to?" I heard a soft voice behind me.

I turned around quickly and opened my arms for her. "No one my darling just needed to be alone for sometime."

She pulled back slightly. "Another fight with your dad?"

"ya and I just needed to be alone before I could join everyone downstairs."

"What was it about this time?"

I let go of her and walked to the bed where I sat down. "Maggy, I don't want to talk about it." I said rudely.

She moved towards me and sat beside me. "hey, you know I didn't mean to upset you. I just wanted to know but, its fine if you don't want to talk about it.'

I sighed. " I just don't want to talk about it is all. I didn't mean to be rude." 

I turned her head towards me and kissed her. She pulled away from me. " We shouldn't do this. Especially here."

"I don't care where we are. I want you now." 

I didn't leave room for any more discussion and sealed it with a kiss. I pulled her towards me and pulled her to my lap so that she was straddling me. I then deepened the kiss and made sure she could feel what she was doing to me below. I heard her moan the moment she felt the bulge. She started to grind herself over my erection and it was driving me crazy. I quickly lifted her and flipped her over so that I was on top over her. She kept lifting her hips to meet mine and all I could feel was her warmth that I wished I was inside her right now. 

I moved to her neck when I felt we both needed some air and started gently sucking on her neck. I was getting so into it when I felt her push me away. I groaned in frustration and lifted my head to look at her.

"What is it?" She pushed me off of her completely.

"I want you more than anything right now but, this is not the right place. If anyone caught us word word reach my husband and you know he would tell my family." 

At the mention of her husband, I felt like someone more like she spilt a bucket of cold water on me and my manhood just disappeared.

" hey, I don't want to talk about this either but, we have to be careful. When things fall into place then we can both get a divorce and move far away where we can get married and be happy. For now, lets just go down and pretend because I know for a fact that they are wondering and know what we are upto."

We walked into the dining and all my family was giving me an annoyed look. I didn't care since no one seemed to care about my happiness. From the corner of my eye, I saw Chris try to stand but a hand stopped him from doing so. I stared at the hand that was holding onto him until it let go. When it did, I looked at the face of its owner, Mika and noticed her eyes were slightly puffy. She quickly looked down and avoided eye contact. 

I walked around the table to sit next to Maggy when I heard my father order her to switch sits with one of the cousins who were present and guess who she would be sitting in between of. My mother and brother and I knew that my brother has never liked her while she's not moms favorite person at the moment.

"what is wrong with where she is sitting next to me?" I asked him in a challenging tone.

"Because this is my house and I can decide when or where everyone sits, Especially when one has a husband and the other is a fool who has a wife and his wife should be beside him." He answered back and before I could say anything he looked straight into Maggy's eyes."and you young lady is only welcome in the presence of your husband or parents. Or else I will forced to have a conversation with both parties, am I clear?"

I was glaring at my father as I heard a soft 'sir uncle'. I heard her chair move but, I held her hand as she stood.

"Cole, let go." she whispered.

"Cole let go of her hand right this minute." my dad said angrily.

"If you know what is good for you then you will let go of her right this moment Cole" I turned to look at my mother who was giving me the evil eye.

I let go immediately and she moved to sit where she was told to. We could piss off dad but, when it involved my mother that man can commit a crime. Mom called the butler and requested that he call Maggy's husband to inform him that she was not feeling too well. They have sent her with our driver to go home. As soon as she was done giving those instructions, she called the driver and escorted her to the car. I could hear my mom talking as they walked away but I couldn't hear what was been said.

I took a glance at Mika and saw her wipe some tears from under her eyes. My brother was quick to hold her hand for support. Some times I wondered if something was going on between the two. If there was something then she is as selfish as I thought she is from the start. For some reason, I just felt so much anger.

When mom returned, she was all smiles like nothing had happened and dinner was served. To say dinner was awkward would be an understatement and what annoyed me the most were the angry eyes Chris was giving to me all so often.

I couldn't leave fast enough after the dinner. I said my byes to everyone.

"Are you leaving without your wife?" mom asked.

I turned to look at Mika and she quickly looked to the ground. I turned back to mom.

"I have some work to do at the office" she gave me a disappointed look. I turned quickly and headed towards the car.

"Cole!" I sighed in frustration when i heard Chris call out to me.

I turned around to face him. " Chris, what is it?"

"why do you treat Mika that way? We both know that you are not going to the office."

"where I am going is none of your concern. Go back and baby sit her since you seem to have some interest in her so much."

"You are an a$$hole. You know that?"

I gave him a bored look. " Chris, stop wasting my ttime and let me be. Call me whatever you like but just leave me alone."

"One day you will realize that she is a good person and that you are lucky to have her in your life. For your sake, hope it wont be too late to redeem yourself cause I sure don't know what she sees in you." he turned around and left me standing there.

I didn't want to dwell on that for too long. I got to the office and stayed there thinking and texting Maggy. When she said she was going to bed is when I decided to head home. I am sure she was asleep by now.

I got home and found Maria pacing in the living room.

"Maria, why are you up this late?"

She stopped pacing and turned towards my voice. "Thank God you are home."

"What is wrong?"

"The madam was dropped off by the family driver but she just changed her dress and left in tears into a cab. I tried to stop her but, she just left without a word."

I felt my heart skip a beat and a feeling that was foreign to me. I don't know if it is fear or panic.

"Why didn't you call me immediately?"

"But sir, I did try to call you. I couldn't get through." It was then I remembered that I turned off my phone and was using the phone that I used when talking to Maggy.

"Don't worry I will find her." 

I got my phone and as soon as I turned it on, messages began to pour in. From Maria, mom,dad,Chris and my father in law. Sh*t! Now I had to deal with that.

I called my mom back because at this point she was the only one who I could talk to.

"Cole."

"Yes mom, I am looking for her right now. Did she say anything before leaving?"

"Chris said she only mentioned wanting to come home and sleep. I have spoken to her father and he can't think of anywhere she could be. He is trying to get hold of her sisters as we speak."

"Where are dad and Chris?"

"Your father is on the phone trying to get some people to look for her and Chris went to some people they both know to check if she had stopped by. Son please find my daughter."

I was shocked that my mother was calling her that. She has never called anyone that especially that she lost two pregnancies after Chris which were both girls. So to hear her say that made me feel a sharp pain like feeling in my heart.

"I will find her."

I got my car keys and drove around looking for her. Was this all an act to get some attention? And why in the world was she crying? Did she have a lovers quarrel with Chris. I called him through the car connection.

"Where the hell have you been?! And did you find Mika? " was the first thing he said.

"Do not talk to me like that. How am I suppose to know where she could be. Am I not suppose to be asking you where she could be?"

"And what the hell are you implying with that tone of voice?"

"I'm just saying that you seem to be spending so much time with her and so you would know where she is. Or are you hiding her somewhere?"

"You are a fool to even suggest that! Do you hear me?! One big fool! I would never hit on her, date her or even sleep with her because I am not you! An excuse of a man who seems to want to blame everyone but himself and who has no respect for anyone. I'm your brother and she's your wife! Your wife! Which means she is like a sister to me! Now call me if you find her." He cut the call.

There he goes too, calling her family. This time this one said sister. What is it about this girl. Is he right about me? And what does he me by I blame everyone but me? I have nothing to blame anyone for. Just that I can't get what I want.

After driving around, I called Maria to see if she was back home but

, still nothing. It was beginning to get bright and I returned home. I tried her phone for the nth time, it went straight to voicemail.
