"You heard about the news?" Jibee asked me while she's lying down on my bed

"What news?" I asked while drying my hair in front of my vanity mirror

"There is this gossip site that our school has; no one knows who owned that site but anyways. The site posted a picture of you and Kevin hugging in the cafeteria with a caption 'The newbie's boyfriend.'

"Why is everyone's eyes on me? Can't they mind their own fucking business?" I complained and lay down next to Jibee

"Daddy Miracle won't be pleased with your language young Miracle." Jibee rolled her eyes at me "Just don't mind them. Everyone is just giddy about you being new to our school."

Someone knocked that I guess is Kevin.

"Can I come in, master?"

Jibee laughed at the word 'master'

"You're not. Not until you stop calling me master."

"Your dad is waiting for you downstairs, master."

I jumped out of my bed. Kevin will just call me master when my dad is around maybe that is why.

"Tell him I'll be down in five minutes." I yelled and we heard his footstep fading

I immediately went to my vanity table and made myself more presentable.

"What are you doing?" Jibee was confused.

"Dad won't like seeing me like this. He always wants me to look presentable. Now, do what I am doing because dad won't like it too if he sees like that."

"What? I won't go down. I'm scared to meet your dad."

I looked at her while I'm French braiding my hair "Dad knows that you're here. It will be rude if you didn't show up to him."

She sighed and obliged.

"Hi, daddy." I kissed his cheek

"Good evening, Mr. Miracle." Jibee greeted my dad

"Please, take a seat young ladies." My dad said

We sat on the couch across from where my dad was sitting.

"What's with the sudden visit, daddy?"

"I'm just checking where you're living. I'm fine with this place but can you find another one bigger than this one?"

"Daddy, this is the best apartment near the school and I don't want a bigger one. This is just enough for me."

"I can buy you a house in the subdivision near your school. I'm worried about your safety."

This is one thing that I don't like about my daddy. He keeps on pushing things that I don't like.

"Daddy, you don't have to. I am safe here. Your guards are good at their job. I know that this is the first time that I'll be away from you but you trust me right? You're the one who taught me to make right decisions."

He sighed in defeat "You're right. I should have trusted you more. I forgot that you're daddy's smartest girl."

I chuckled "Yeah, because I am your only daughter."

He snapped his fingers and the guy beside him gave something to him.

He handed me a rectangular velvet box.

"What is this, daddy?"

"I went to Manhattan last week, while driving to my meeting I saw a Harry Winston's store. I thought of buying you and Jibee a gift and it happened that they released a new pendant that I know you'll like." He looked at Jibee. "That is a thank you gift for looking after my princess."

Jibee smiled "You don't really have to, Mr. Miracle but thank you for this."

"Open it." Dad said to us

We opened the box in unison. 
It is a necklace with a snowflake pendant. I looked over at Jibee's and dad got us the same.

"I remember the day you two met each other during our Christmas break here, you two met when we first let Lily play in the snow that is why I bought you two the same."

I stood up and gave that a hug of gratitude "Thank you for this, daddy."

He kissed my forehead "Everything for my princess."

"How was your date with Antonio?" Rose asked while we are walking to our first class

"It was fine; he actually made me laugh last night. He's good."

"Have you gone to the gossip site?"

"Why? Is there another gossip besides Miracle?"

"Actually, it's about Miracle again. She's living with her boyfriend."

I groaned "Is there other gossip besides 'Miracle?"

"Well, they posted a picture of you and Raymond last, having a fun conversation." She said showing me her phone

"The star player and the queen bee dating." I read the caption "This scandalmonger is everywhere."

We stopped by our locker where it happened that Miracle is there too, her locker just two lockers away from mine.

"I can't believe that I have a Harry Winston's necklace now." Jibee said touching the beautiful necklace of her

"Harry Winston is the most expensive jewelry brand all around the globe." Rose whispered to me

"Let's just keep in where we got this, okay?" Lily said touching her necklace too

I frowned. These two are hiding something.

"JENNY FRYXELL!" Cassy shouted, the bitch cheerleader

I rolled my eyes and faced her "What, Cassy?"

"Stay away from Raymond!"

I chuckled and gave her a bitchy smirk "Who are you to say that to me? Everyone knows that Raymond dumped you already!"

"Raymond is mine! Stay away from him or else I will make your life miserable!" Cassy warned

"You are just some other girl who Raymond used to toyed with. You're nothing but a toy to him. I bet he never took you on a date just like what we had last night."

"I-I.."

"You're what, Cassy?" I smirked knowing that I'm winning this fight

"We're not done yet!" Then she stormed away

Lily

While our English teacher is discussing I felt the urge of peeing.

I raised my hand "Sir, can I go to the restroom?"

"Five minutes, Ms. Miracle." He said

I immediately ran to the nearest restroom. While I'm doing my business, I heard footsteps coming in.

"That bitch! I'll make her pay for this!" Someone said, I believe it was the cheerleader, Cassy

"What are going to do, Cassy?" A girl asked

"Something that she will never forget."

"How?"

Though I'm already done peeing, I sat there listening to their plan. I waited for them to leave and I immediately went back to class.
