Chapter 20

Author: Helianthus
The moment Adam mentioned who he was, Sirius flew into a rage.

Sirius knew that Ginnie’s ex had done all those horrible things to her before but never thought that he would be shameless enough to show up here as if it was his right to do so. He even expected Ginnie to get back together with him!

He grabbed Adam’s collar tightly. “You’re Adam Grant? You’re that monster, then! I’ve been wanting to find some time to teach you a lesson, but you have saved me the trouble!”

Sirius had already clenched his fists, but Adam still showed no fear.

The reporters who had been interviewing Sirius soon followed. When they saw this, their eyes went wide, and they raised their cameras.

This was Sirius’s first offline art exhibition as Orion. Ginnie could not let Adam’s arrival ruin it.

She hurriedly went forward and pulled Adam and Sirius apart before they started fighting. She shook her head at Sirius. “Don’t butt into this. Let me handle it.”

She then said coldly to Adam, “This isn’t the p

Right after Ginnie left the cafe, she saw Sirius running toward her with the sun shining behind his back. Surprised, she asked, “Why are you here? I thought you had a lot of work to do at the art exhibition?”Ginnie seemed to be acting as usual, and the sight settled the nervousness in Sirius’s heart. He extended his hand to Ginnie. “I can delegate the art exhibition operations to my assistant, but it’s different for you.”Sirius’s breathing had yet to calm down, and sweat also beaded on his nose. Seeing this, Ginnie felt warmth in her heart, and she held his hand. Both of them returned to the art exhibition. On the way, Ginnie suddenly asked Sirius, “You managed to identify who Adam was when we were at the art exhibition. How did you do it? Did you look into him?”Sirius smiled and nodded readily. “I did. A long time ago, in fact. I was also telling the truth when I said that I wanted to teach him a lesson.”Ginnie stopped walking for a second, and she felt touched. Was Siri

Despite her irritation, Ginnie still took the box. When she opened it, her scowl deepened. In the box were all the presents, letters, and photos she had burned. After taking a closer look, she realized that Adam had bought new copies of the presents. He also used some method to replicate the dolls and other handicraft projects they had made. The letters were copies, and Adam had used technology to restore the copies and print out the photos. But Ginnie remained unmoved, and Adam hurriedly said, “Ginnie, due to time restraints, I still haven’t managed to restore all of our memories, but I promise you, I’ll do my best to restore them.”Ginnie sneered. “Yeah. I believe that.”Even though he had not restored everything, she could still tell that Adam had put in a lot of effort to put together the things in the box. Even she could not guarantee that she could do better than Adam. Those words lit up hope in Adam. “I’m glad that you believe me. Look at these. Do you remember t

Adam knew that Gray had the power and influence to back his words up.Before he left the country, he received information from Leo and learned that Ginnie still had family left, and that family was the powerful Sullivan family. The Sullivan family dabbled mainly in the medical equipment market and practically monopolized half of the market abroad. The branch companies in the country were also leaders in the field. That was just scratching the surface. Sullivan Corporation’s strength was unfathomable and far surpassed Adam’s level. Even so, he could not just give up on Ginnie because of these difficulties. He could not. Adam pursed his lips, and his gaze turned firm. “Ginnie is my wife. That will never change.”Gray scoffed. “Bah. Your wife? I’ve lived a long life, and I’ve never met a man who still has the gall to say a woman is still his wife after breaking her arm, defaming her, and disappointing her to the point of getting an abortion.“I won’t be talking with you about t

But before he could even walk further away, a woman suddenly ran over and threw her arms around his waist. “Adam, I finally found you! I’m really sorry now! Sirius’s gift was a document as well. When she looked at it, she found that it was an enrollment letter for Kenormel Academy of Arts.Ginnie’s eyes sparkled as she instinctively turned to Sirius. How did he know that she had always dreamed of studying at this university?Ginnie had long been preparing for Kenormel Academy of Arts’s entrance exams. Ginnie was taken aback by the sight and only recovered from her shock after a long while. Had Adam lost his mind? She never thought that things would progress this way. In the end, she sighed and returned to the manor with Gray and Sirius. After Adam fled, he would have to live a hard, nomadic life. If it meant that he would leave her side forever, that still worked out. One month passed, and it was time for Ginnie to enroll in Kenormel Academy of Arts. Once she stepped out of the manor, she saw Sirius standing outside in a suit, ready to send her to the university. She gave a resigned smile. “Sirius, you really don’t need to send me to the university. I can just ask Mr. Oliver to do it.”Even though Kenormel Academy of Arts was not far from the manor, she heard that Sirius had been attending quite a lot of cases in the hospital as of late and was often so busy that he did not even have time to breathe. She really wanted him to take some time to rest. Despite the dark eyeb

She was so thin that she was emaciated, and there was even a horrific scar on her forehead, which should be the one Adam left on her, as told by the police officers. Ginnie gulped. “What do you want, Snow? Money? How much?”With a savage sneer, Snow drew closer to Ginnie and slapped her. “Who cares about your filthy money?! If it weren’t for you, Adam wouldn’t have left me, and William wouldn’t have divorced me! I would still sit on my throne as a famous artist that everyone admires! At that moment, a burned beam suddenly fell down and nearly hit the three people who were still hanging tightly to each other.
