Molly

We've been sitting in Dolly's dinner for the past two hours. It's been just over three hours since Christian spoke to Amy and still the shock hasn't lessened. After Christian got off the phone with her John insisted that we come here to eat and talk it all out.

We all ordered food and drinks but we've barely eaten or drunk anything, I think we're all still trying to take in what we learned from that bitch. Me, Tom, and Christian are sitting in a large booth with Zack, Jack, Callum, and John sitting across from us. I'm stuck between Tom and Christian and there both sitting as close to me as possible despite there being room on both of their sides.

Once we got back into town Ruby came to meet us and once Christian had filled both her and John in on everything that happened and what Amy said Ruby took Sophie back to the town hall with her so we could talk and as soon as the orders were in John wanted another re-run of all the details.

"Son, tell me again what she said after you

Christian"Good morning, Chris." Tom's voice is groggy as he steps into the lounge where I'm sitting with a sleeping Sophie on my lap. I look at the clock on the wall and it's only 5.05 am "Morning. What are you doing up so early?" He stretches and yawns while walking over to the big puffy chair that's in the corner. "I couldn't sleep. That bed ain't the comfiest and between Callum snoring like a fucking dog and Jack talking in his sleep I've not had any more than three hours of sleep."I laugh at Tom's answer, the man is not wrong. Callum has one of the loudest snores that I have ever heard and Jack doesn't shut up in his sleep, then again he doesn't shut up when he's awake either. "Why are you two down here so early?" He looks down at Sophie as she lays across my lap with her thumb in her mouth and her teddy close to her chest. "She's been having nightmares all night, I think the poor girl only had about three hours sleep herself. The other two were getting disturbed when she was wa

Molly"You run?" I nod my head looking down at my coffee before lifting my head to face her shocked face "You didn't say a word?" I shake my head still not speaking a word. "That handsome man kissed you and you just run without saying anything. Good lordy girly Women don't run from a fine man like Christian, they run at him, not from him.She picks up a magazine from the coffee table and starts fanning herself and I can't help but laugh. "Penny, you're naughty." She gives me a cheeky grin while continuing to fan herself. "Oh, how I would be naughty for a man like Christian Bowen." I snort out a laugh that has her laughing and I realize that I feel lighter than I have in days. "Oh, Penny, you are hilarious." She smiles wide as she puts the magazine back on the table. "When you get to my age sweetheart you learn very quickly that life is too short. You need to smile, laugh and love with all you have."Those are pretty sobering words and hit something inside of me. "I have loved them bef

MollyI step inside the shower as the hot water steams up the glass door. I adjust the temperature so the water is as hot as I can stand. I'm not sure why I'm doing it. There's a part of me that's hoping that the hot water will burn away all the crap that has happened, while another part of me hopes that it will clear my head because right now I feel like it's going to explode. The past twenty-four hours have been more than anyone should go through, it's more than anyone should have to deal with.As long as everything goes to plan, then Katie will be back with Christian and his family tomorrow, which will be a huge relief, but for me, things are far from over. I still need to figure out this lawsuit and if it's all true, well, I'm not sure how the betrayal is going to affect me. Right now I'm managing to keep it at bay because I don't actually know the truth yet or have it in black and white, but if I find out it's true, which I suspect it is, then I'm not sure how I'm going to deal w

  • Letting go   Chapter 59

MollyThe closer we get to the farm, the more nervous I become. I haven't seen Christian since I ran from him last night and I'm scared, scared of how he's going to look at me, scared of what he's going to say, and more than anything, scared about what I'm going to think and feel when I see him. I feel so torn, so confused, and my head is a mess. Then there's Jack. He, along with Tom, saw what happened. He was at the bedroom window watching us while Tom had gone to the front door after he heard Christian call after me. I already know how things are with Tom, but what about Jack? What if he thinks badly of me? I love Jack, he's like a little brother to me and I'd hate to have him think badly of me, to not look at me the same again."Stop overthinking things, baby girl. Everything is going to be ok." Tom's soothing voice brings me back to the present as we turn onto the final dirt road that leads to the farm. He reaches across and takes my hand in his, giving it a gentle squeeze. I nod

MollyIt's been a few minutes since Tom spoke those words and neither of us have said a word. Tom got back in the driver's seat a moment ago, while I remained in the middle of the cab lost in my own world. He starts up the truck and continues his way to the farm while I stare out of the window in complete silence.Tom's words flaw me as the realization of what he means hits me full force, but surely that can't be right. "Are you trying to tell me that he likes me? As in likes me likes me? My throat feels scratchy and raw as I speak even though I've not long drunk a full bottle of water. He glances at me as he continues slowly driving down the long narrow driveway that leads to where all the others have parked."Yes, Molly, that's exactly what I'm saying. I know he's felt it since the moment he met you but he's hidden it under his distrust and instead made it seem like he hates you when that's really not the case." I scoff at his answer, finding it unbelievable. "There's just no way, T

ChristianWhere are they? When Tom left to go give Molly the clothes he bought her this morning, he said that they would meet us at the farm. It's been over an hour, and there is still no sign of them and I'm getting anxious. I'm not sure what I'm going to think or feel when I see Molly again and I'm not sure what I'm going to say to her, but either way, we are talking. I want to know why she ran from me and I'm not resting until I find out.Of course, the sensible side of me understands that she properly run because... well, frankly, I've been nothing but a dick to her since the moment she arrived, but I'm not going with my sensible side today. I'm going with the idiotic side of me that hasn't been able to stop thinking about that kiss since it happened.I don't know what possessed me to do it... Well, I do, there's a part of me that's wanted to kiss her since the moment she turned up here, but I always let my head rule my decisions, until yesterday that was. Yesterday, I did the one

  • Letting go   Chapter 62

ChristianWhat the hell is wrong with the two of them? I mean seriously, they are acting like two tearaway teenagers instead of the adults that they are. They both know right from wrong and they both know the effects of smoking. We all do believe me. None of us could ever forget the two-hour lecture we had to sit through from our dad after he caught Tom smoking when he was a teenager and if the very detailed descriptions he gave about what could happen weren't enough to make a full grown man want to cry, then the extremely graphic pictures that he had shown us were more than enough to do the trick."Why the hell were they smoking?" My anger is instant. "I'm not sure. They were sitting in the truck after they got here and Callum and Jack saw them smoking. They've gone to have a chat with them." He has a smirk on his face but I'm angry, so angry that I don't know if it's all directed at those two for smoking, but still, I start storming towards the barn door to give those two a piece of

Christian It's worse than what I thought? How the fuck could it get any worse than Archie cheating on Molly and having a baby with someone else? A thousand different thoughts and scenarios swarm through my head but still, I don't understand what's going on. I tried everything to get Tom to tell me but he told me that it wasn't his place to tell me and while I respect him for looking out for his best friend a part of me is still pissed at him for not telling me. It took all the strength I had not to go after Molly but Tom insisted that she needed to be left alone and I have to respect that even if it's the last thing that I want to do. I keep checking my watch watching as time goes by painfully slow. She's only been gone forty-five minutes but Jesus it feels like it's been hours. My mind keeps taking me back to when I came out of the barn and saw how upset she was. Her eyes full of tears, her body shaking with sadness and that rawness in her sobs that almost broke me. "She's ok." My

  • Letting go   Epilogue part Two

Christian Just a few minutes later we arrived at the house and my brothers helped bring in the babies and the bags then put both of my boys in their bassinet that's been set up in the living room while I got Molly comfy on the sofa then they joined us for a cup of coffee and we chatted as I kept watching the time and wishing it to hurry up so that all of our children can be here together. Our future as a family looks amazing and I already know that we are going to make the best memories. Our children will grow up knowing that they are loved and cared for and will never be in need of anything ever again. It still shocks me to think about where I was a year ago and where I am now but I wouldn't change a thing... well, if I could change something it would be Molly's last name, she would be my wife until our last breath and maybe we'd even have another baby or two but even if that time doesn't come I'm still going to enjoy every single moment of my life with my little family and foreve

  • Letting go   Epilogue part one

Molly"They are so beautiful, Molly dolly." Tom cooes over the little bundle in his arms as he walks around my bed and takes a seat next to me. "I agree, little heartbreakers in the making here," Jack says as he stands over by the window with my other son in his arms. "You were so incredible, baby," Chris whispers in my ear as he sits on my other side and gently plays with my hair. I've always found it soothing and Chris knows this."Who do I have?" Tom asks not once taking his eyes off his nephew. "This is Jacob and Jack has Jonah." Jack walks over to us while rocking Jonah in his arms smiling so hard that his face has to be hurting but he doesn't seem to care. "Cute names." Both Chris and I nod agreeing. I love the names even if I didn't pick them. A little while ago I discovered that Chris has never got a say in what any of the other children were called. Of course, he loves all of their names but still, his opinion wasn't even considered so I told him that he could pick both the t

Christian“So what do you want, Amy?”“We’ll mostly I want to apologise to you and your family for everything I have done but first I want to ask you something. Is… is that any chance of trying again, Chris? I miss my family and I want you all back.” That I was not expecting and for a moment it threw me, which of course she takes as me considering it.“We can start again, Chris. You me and the kids. We can move house if you want. I’m better now and clean and I have no plans of going back to who I was.”“Amy, that’s not going to happen.”“But I thought… won’t you even consider it?” Fuck why does she have to do this? Even after everything that she has done to everyone I still don't want to have to hurt her in any way. Am I stupid for thinking that way? properly but it is what it is. She was once my wife regardless of what she has done. "No, Amy. I'm sorry but I don't need to consider it because it isn't happening."But why, Chris? We were great together once.""We were Amy and when we f

Molly "Amy?" She gives me a nod and a smile that seems genuine which is worrying in itself. "What are you doing here, Amy?" Ruby comes to stand next to me looking seriously pissed and I don't blame her, Amy has tried to destroy her life in more ways than one. I'll give it to the girl, she has some serious balls to come back here after everything that she has done. "I know I shouldn't be here but there is some stuff that I need to say to all of you and I really hope that you will allow me to, even if I don't deserve it." She looks like she's being genuine but I really don't trust her. “Why should I let you anywhere near my family?” Ruby moves so that she's pretty much standing in front of me and covering my body with hers. Which brings her attention to my stomach. “You're pregnant!” If this was anyone else the look of shock on her face would have me laughing but as it is I just want to hide my baby bump from her. I nod but don't say anything. For a moment a sad look covers her

  • Letting go   Chapter 101

Christian"It feels like it's been forever since we've had a chat just you and me. How's things going at the bar darlin'?" My mom sets a cup of coffee down in front of me on the kitchen table and then sits next to me with her own. Brody is at school while both Sophie and Katie are taking a nap and everyone else is either on the farm or at the pub. "I know, Ma. The bar is going great but things have been crazy busy these past few weeks, especially with getting ready for the twins."She nods her head excitement pouring out of her, She's not been shy in showing how excited she is for the twin's arrival but then again she's always been the same with all of my children. "I know things are crazy but it will be worth it. Two more little babies, two more grandbabies for me to love. Oww, I can't wait!" Her words make me smile and laugh. "I know, it's going to be manic but so much fun.""Oh yes, I knew the twin gene would go to one of you, maybe it will go to more than one of you, can you imagi

  • Letting go   Chapter 100

MollyIt's been two months since I told Christian about the baby and it's honestly been the best two weeks of my life. When I told him part of me knew that everything would be okay, he has said on several occasions that if it happened that we would be okay but still, there was a part of me that worried that he had changed his mind and that he wouldn't want this. Of course, I was wrong and I kind of feel a little guilty for having any doubt in him.The day after I told him we told the rest of his family. We did tell Tom first on his own as he's my best friend and I felt that it was the right thing to do and thankfully Chris I was more than happy about it. As you can imagine his family was so insanely excited at the news of another baby coming into the family and I'd be lying if I said that I didn't cry for about an hour at the pure love that is in this family.I never knew the love of a family growing up. My birth mother put me into the foster care system when I was two years old becau

  • Letting go   Chapter 99

Christian"I'm sorry say that again?" Molly looks a little nervous but still, I can see the ghost of a smile on her beautiful face. "I said I'm pregnant, Chris. I'm sorry about the blunt delivery but I didn't know how to tell you and I want you to know so that you can be sure that me moving in with you is really what you want." Is this girl serious?Aside from making this girl my wife, I couldn't think of anything more I could want. Fuck I don't know what scares me more right now, the fact that I'm thinking about marrying her so soon or that the idea of marrying her so soon doesn't scare me. After the shit show that was my marriage to Amy, I never thought that I would want to be married again."Chris?" The small tremor in her voice brings me back to the present and her sad face. Shit, I was so lost in my own thoughts that I've got her worried when she doesn't need to be. I place a kiss on top of her hair and watch as a shiver runs down her body only it is more a shiver from her being

  • Letting go   Chapter 98

Molly"Chris, what are you doing?" I giggle as he leaves the farmhouse and starts heading towards his house with me hanging over his shoulder. "I already told you." I yelp then laugh even harder when he slaps my ass and picks up his pace. The embarrassment that I felt when he picked me up in front of his brothers has quickly turned to lust and now I'm more than eager to get to his place. "Yes, but I could get there just as quick on my feet you know?" He smacks my ass once again before gently rubbing it. "That may be true but I much prefer you over my shoulder." I must admit being over his shoulder isn't the worst thing in the world, not when his fine ass is in my direct view.Whistling and hooting have my head shooting up and my face going bright red when I see Hunter and some other guy standing in one of the pig pens looking our way. Well, that's my embarrassment back. What the hell are they even doing out here so late? Of course, Christian has no shame at all and instead of ignoring

  • Letting go   Chapter 97

ChristianOnce I know they are happy, distracted, and being taken care of I throw on my boots and head out of the house and across the field to the farmhouse and my girl. I walk in and instantly spot her sitting at the kitchen table next to Tom. I walk over to them and rest my hands on her shoulders before placing a kiss on the top of her head. "How's the shopping going?" She tilts her head up to look at me and rolls her eyes making me smile. "Great! I have everything that I wanted." Tom says sounding very proud of himself. "And how about you darling, you bought yourself anything?" "No, she hasn't despite my pleas." Tom groans dramatically. "I don't need anything sweet cheeks, not right now anyway." He gives her a look as if she has offended him making me laugh. "You do not have to need new clothes to shop my girl, have I not taught you anything in our long and lively friendship?" She laughs at his dramatics while sipping on her coffee. "One outfit and that's it I mean it!" She s
