Chapter Seventy Three

Jax's POV

I woke up every morning with a sense of unease. Rolling over in bed, I could feel the emptiness next to me. Ivy was always up and about before I even had a chance to open my eyes. On a normal, I was the one who always woke up first except on some rare occasions so it was kind of weird to me that it was happening in a row.

I would find her on the balcony, staring intently at the sky. At first, it didn't bother me. I just assumed she couldn't sleep and sought solace in the quiet of the morning. Maybe she just needed some time to reset as she had been busy almost every second for weeks now.

But as the days went on and it turned to weeks,this routine became a constant. The worry started creeping in, and I couldn't help but wonder what was bothering her so much because something had to be in her mind for her to make this a habit and it was weird cause it was always the exact same time that she was right there just staring at the sky quietly and the few occasions where I had seen
