Chapter 35: Lucrezia finds out that Pietro is wounded

Pietro stared into my eyes as I looked at him worriedly. My eyes fell to his adam’s apple as it bobbed up and down upon my touch. His irises slowly turned to the corner of his eyes as he stared at my hand that was touching him so affectionately.

I fluttered my hand away from his cheek, feeling flustered at what I just did. I’ve never touched a man like that before. He is also the first man that I ever came up this close with.

I stepped back, to give us enough distance. He was too close that I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t believe that I just grabbed him like that. My body moved at its own accord because I was just to worried for his health.

Pietro retches, making me flinch back, afraid that he would vomit on me. Pietro was able to hold himself as he continued to heave dryly.

“What’s wrong?” I asked him as I tried to assist him.

I held him, afraid that he would fall anytime.

Pietro did not answer. he shuts his eyes and holds his forehead with one hand. He looks like he is in t
