Chapter 77 The raging fire

"Leave me alone, you motherfucker," Megan yells as one man drags her out.

I look at the tall figure approaching me, my body trembling in dread. The man yanks at my arm and pulls me up, hauling me out as if my body is weightless.

As I step out of the small compartment, my eyes widen in shock and fear as I take in the sight before me. The dim lighting inside the container did not prepare me for the harsh brightness of the outside world. The glaring sun reflects off the metal shipping containers, intensifying the already sweltering heat of the dockyard.

The vast area is filled with rows upon rows of containers, creating a maze-like landscape. The dockyard itself seems abandoned, with only a few armed men patrolling the area. Their stern expressions and the guns they carry send a shiver down my spine, making me realize the dangerous situation I am in.

I glance back at the container from which I emerged, realizing that this is where they have been keeping us.
